Everything they do is amazing, hard pressed to find a bad song, everything from MSG is excellent. They filmed from these 3 concert nights for their movie. This is one of my two favorite lives, the other one is live at Earls Court May 25,1975 of In My Time Of Dying. The best video for that is Andriu 1962, another amazing soulful song. They always put so much passion into their music, they love & feel what they are playing. Greatest band ever, thank you for your reaction, hope to so a lot of LZ.
Famously, the band had the night before 1 million dollars stolen from the safe of the Drake hotel that they had stored for safe keeping. That added a lot of fire to this whole performance, it is legendary, even a movie "The song remains the same" was a rite of passage when I was kid in the 70s and 80s.
I just subscribed based on this terific reaction, so y'all need to "Get the Led out," now, y'hear? Sorry, do what u want, lol, but I can guarantee that you will love other performances of theirs. "Whole Lotta Love" (1970 show, or also the official video of it is great). "Kashmir" at Knebworth (1979, a year before they disbanded--their drummer dies, dammit) is insanely good. "Dazed& Confused" from 1969, when they began, is mind (and eardrum)-blowing. "That's the way" (1975) shows their softer side.
Led Zep is legendary for their improvisational acumen. No song was ever played exactly the same way twice. I would recommend listening to the studio version so you can see how it was enhanced live.
True, but all those bands were different, even a little different, every time they played live. I never got to see the mighty Zeppelin live though I have many 1970s live recordings and they are all indeed all different

Me and my dad saw Robert sing last year, and he still has an incredible voice! Amazing to think my dad last saw him in Zeppelin at the Bath Blues Festival 1970 🤯
I've heard this song countless times, I've seen this video probably in the hundreds. Too enjoy watching this again first you have to love the music but secondly it's the reaction of the people you are watching it with. So thanks for a great reaction and sharing my love of Led Zepplin with both of you.
The night of this performance they had performed something like 26 shows in 30 days. Each show being about 3 hours long. The fact that Robert Plant could even speak, let alone sing those high notes still amazes me. And they still had 8 or 9 vocally challenging songs after this. Just amazing
Welcome to the greatest rock band of all time. There's SO much for you to listen to from these fellas. There best listened to live, but the studio recordings are still awesome. May i recommend Black Dog next? It's a good starting point for anyone who's not familiar with the band.
Jeez, You could say that in regards to many of their songs, Zeppelin were a live band, all of their studio stuff was really good, but you really have to listen to them live to really appreciate them, thats why they insisted on having NO singles, so much improvisation, no song was played the same when they were on stage, they cannot be compared to any other band.
Initially called the New Yardbirds, Led Zeppelin was formed in 1968 by Jimmy Page, the final lead guitarist for the legendary British blues band the Yardbirds. Bassist and keyboard player John Paul Jones, like Page, was a veteran studio musician; vocalist Robert Plant and drummer John Bonham came from little-known provincial bands. The group was influenced by various kinds of music, including early rock and roll, psychedelic rock, blues, folk, Celtic, Indian, and Arabic music. One of the best rock bands ever. Thanks for sharing. ATB regards from the UK
@andykitson50 Me too. I hope you weren't the one that let our tyres down ! More positively, I recall a newly-wed couple, still in full dress, making their way from back of the gig down to the front. The crowd just parted like the Red Sea. Amazing to see.

They are master musicians and very talented. Enjoy. Good reaction
I grew up with LED ZEPPELIN and I've managed to see them live back in 1971. They were "everything you wanted to hear, but didn't dare ask"... I am so glad that young people like you enjoy today what I enjoy since I was a teenager. ❤
They knew how good they were, and that comes across in their performance. Total confidence. You never see that today. You didn't see it very much even back then, but you never see that today. It's not something you can fake, and so much today is fake, that there's just no comparison.
Maybe you're just watching the wrong bands? I will admit that with the explosion of choices available nowadays it can be hard to find the jewels amid the muck but they are out there. If you want confidence, try any Pepsi Center performance by The Warning.
@@donrichards271 I don't want anything, it was just an observation. Yep, The Madison Square Garden is Jimmy and Robert's garage. They treated all arenas that way, just improvised their best songs for a few hours, to the total enjoyment of the audience! Loved the reaction, really!

The best rock band in the world, ever. First saw them in 71' Then all 5 nights at Earls Court in 75'...then again at the Knebworth Festival in 79'...that was their last UK appearance before Bonzo died...seen Page & Plant a few times and Robert solo a few too..the last being just 3 years ago in Glasgow...they have no equal.
Hi Guys you now have to go down the Led Zepplin rabbit hole!!! Led Zepplin are an iconic English Rock Band and have produced so many great rock classics over the years. Led Zepplin broke up in 1980 following the death of there drummer John Bonham. Robert Plant the lead singer is still performing and you should check out there most iconic song "A Whole Lot of Love" and the look on Jess's face looking at Robert Plants Jean's??? was priceless
You guys are top-notch! Chemistry, humor, intelligent comments, and properly gobsmacked by the best rock band ever: Led Zeppelin! First tiem viewer, instant subscriber based on this and what looks like an interesting catalog. If you REALLY want to see how "stylish" Robert Plant (the singer) can be, check out "The Ocean" from this same show. Lord, some of the camera angles, lol! Seriously, you can't go wrong w/ them, and it's not all tight jeans, either, lol. Try "In my time of dying" (1975) or (gorgeous acoustic) "Going to California."
Every song the made was exceptional. I swear Led Zeppelin never made a bad song. More Zeppelin please! Don't think this must be their best they always play like this.
Hi there. This entire concert was a landmark for the band and rock history. They've separated after the death of the drummer John Bonham. Watch them on the reunion concert with the son of John Bonham, Jason Bonham on drums and they were much older. The quality is still there 😊 take care ✌ peace
"a backdoor man" is, in old blues musician terms (like Robert Johnson from the late 30s) when the husband goes out the front door in the morning, and waiting outside, the guitar man, comes in the back door at the same time and right up the stairs.
Any song from this MSG 73 concert is epic. I recommend: The Song Remains the Same/Rain Song, Dazed and Confused, Stairway to Heaven (with an epic guitar solo!), Whole Lotta Love, and Rock and Roll.
First time watching you 2! Love the Augmented reality setup... very cool. And Zep? Well,,,, We all didn't call em "God's of Rock N Roll" for nothing. Heard Kashmir yet? No. 1 requested song on planet Earth for a solid 10 years straight. As for their outfits... it was the early 70's.... free love was the game of the times'
Great reaction and you hit the nail on he head. Led Zeppelin play their songs differently than the recorded versions, and they play each song different from concert to concert. They play off each other, and they are very spontaneous. I saw 3 of their early concerts and they were fabulous. I would recommend listening to the recorded version of this song because it is different and better. The pop ups occur often during live Led Zeppelin live performances on RUclips but disappear shortly afterward. I would highly recommend Kashmir Live at Knebworth 1979 official video if you react to more led Zeppelin.

Four geniuses creating magic pleasure! Led Zeppelin is like no other drug. :D Please listen to Led Zeppelin - In My Time of Dying. Just listen.
I saw them twice. DayvOn The Green 1982. Also Plant/Paige San Jose 1994? Whole lotta fun! 🎸
A real super group. Arguably the best front man, lead guitar and let face it the best drummer 👌
No arguing they are all GOAT
Not forgetting JPJ the glue!
Please know their names. Jimmy Page on guitar Robert Plant vocals John Paul Jones bass guitar and keyboard and John Bonham drummer extraordinaire! I'm 71 years old and I've heard them all and they are the greatest of them all and I enjoy all genres of music.
That’s when I saw them, at Knebworth, thanks for the reminder
was lucky enough to have seen them back then. they were fantastic. and tickets were only $9.50
Their Electric Magic concerts at Wembley Empire Pool in London in 1971 were just 75 pence. Not even one pound. 😅
Two words: stage presence. Unlike any other band before or since..
Every song they ever
wrote are an explosion
of joyous unexpectedness :)😊
when you think that performance was 50 years old, so good. Jess was positvely glowing throughout...............
His voice on black dog is brilliant
If you thought that performance was sexual, you will slide right out of your chair when watching Stairway to Heaven from the same concert.
"a backdoor man" is, in old blues musician terms (like Robert Johnson from the late 30s) when the husband goes out the front door in the morning, and waiting outside, the guitar man, comes in the back door at the same time and right up the stairs.
I’m in my 50s and I was still mesmerized watching them live - glad you guys still appreciated their talent
So great both! These gents are THE greatest. Period. 😊 ty for reaction!
There’s 4 of them, & all 4 are the greatest.
@sicotshit7068 was mentioning 'both' as in our hosts.
@ OK, I misunderstood.
@sicotshit7068 you are correct for sure! 😇, all four needed, all four greatest.
Probably my favorite song from them.
Sade , smooth operator from 1984
One of the best British female artists ever ❤❤
Great shout!
Yes oh my life I love you people ❤
Great reaction and you hit the nail on he head.
