Yeah. And what grinds my gears is that developers didn't bother to indicate what % it is. To my eye, when the slider is at its default position (in the middle) the image doesn't look native.
it's amazing that people have no clue what setting image quality does. IF you crank it up it means you are not rendering at native resolution but instead you are upscaling. middle of the bar is native btw...

Honestly, image quality on default slider position (in the middle) doesn't look native to my eye. It looks well below native. But it won't be the first game I see this year which says that it's rendering native res textures when they actually look much more pixelated than normal.

i got the 4070 super! its an asus dual since its has the price near with the ventus 2x and 3 year warranty (the ventus 2x has 2 in my store). Paired it nicely with a Ryzen 5 7500F and does 100% gpu load means theres no bottleneck?
No, you actually WANT your gpu to work at 100%. Unless you already hit your screen max refresh rate without hitting 100% gpu load but if you have a 120+hz screen, it won't happens in games like DD2.. so yeah 100% gpu load = good.
If you are getting 98-100% GPU load in games you play then you have a well-balanced PC for your needs.👍 Just remember that some games are poorly optimised. As a result, you won't get that 100% GPU load even if you have the best CPU out there. Dragon's Dogma 2 in city scene is the living proof of that. Hogwarts Legacy also comes to mind.
Rainbow Six is a well optimised game. In this particular case your CPU is a weak spot. But if it produces more FPS then you need then it is irrelevant.

And 650watt psu thinking to buy the rtx 4060ti or rtx 4070 If I bought the rtx 4060ti then I won't upgrade cpu if I bought the 4060ti vs 4070 I m from india tha 4060ti cost 450usd and 4070 620usd what I do man I need the best now for 2 years then I would upgrade the whole setup I also meed a good headset plus mouse which one I would go (4060 ti +gears) (future proof rtx 4070 later cpu ) without gears also here rtx 4070 rx 7700xt rx 7800xt are same price but I have a 650watt psu
Your CPU is the problem. This game is extremely heavy on the CPU due to poor optimisation. Developers said that they are working on a fix. But who knows when that will release and how much better will it get. If you are dead set on playing this game comfortably then you’ll have to upgrade your CPU to i7 13700K/14700K or Ryzen 7 7800X3D.
Edit the config file in the game folder and change ParallelBuildProcessorCount from 6 to 12 it made a huge improvement for me on my13700k (going from 8 to 16).
@@theivadim I'm playing everything at 1440p and it seems perfectly tuned for it. Big step for me from a 6700k and 1080 Ti and I'm loving it. I wanted to hold out just a bit longer but recent games have just been too much for that old thing to handle. Might sell the 4070 super and get a 5080 depending how things go. Not a huge loss since this was a $600 gpu if I sell it a lot cheaper than I paid it won't even be that bad. Great gaming machine so far though. Wasn't ready to spend more on a gpu right now.
Honestly part of the reason it runs like shit might be the DRM. I remember when MHW: Iceborne released with Denuvo it ran like total ass. Then when the game was pretty much over they removed the DRM and sufdenly the game ran quite a bit better. I don't know what DRM DD2 is using though so I'm not sure.
Nope. The game developers confirmed that it is caused by how their game does NPCs. That’s why you see this issue in the most NPC populated area. It runs fine in other areas.

The image quality slider is actually some kind of scaler, so turning that up even at 1080p will tank your frames.

@@theivadim yep, i tried benchmarking R6S and it does show 77% GPU Load at 1440p Ultra

Unless you're playing on 1440p I wouldn't consider 4070. At 1080p 4060 ti 8gb should be enough.
