    My goal is to keep my sodium down to 1500 a day. I have just started to lower my sodium in the last couple of weeks and have lost 10-Ibs. I developed a excel sheet that helps me keep track of my calories, carbs., protein, sodium, potassium, magnesium and more. I was wondering if couscous acceptable on the dash diet?
    Thanks for the information it is what I was looking for to help me get on the right track!

    actually you can do fasting & eliminate one meal in a day.. so the body could rest for a while.. start fasting 12 hrs. then 15 hrs. or 18 hrs. eat 2x a day... Just drink water when hungry.. that's what I did, feel light, HDL increase, low LDL.

    Things I love for cooking: Salt, Butter and Heavy cream. Things I Love for general consumption: liquorice, alcohol and chips.
    Things I should avoid, all above.
    Now to a question. I live in Sweden. I have access to game. Moose specifically. Should I avoid that as well and stick to fish and chicken?

      No diet is better than another per se. It depends on your goals. For lowering blood pressure the DASH diet is better.

    • @pirkkarannali
      @pirkkarannali 3 месяца назад +2

      @@dr.lindsaymarie There have been studies comparing both together for lowering blood pressure, and keto has overwhelmingly crushed the DASH diet. You should read those studies. At the same time, diabetics were able to stop their medication, which DASH did not achieve.
      So if we compare and do such studies with those results, we can say that the other is better. Clearly better

    How can a “healthy diet” include bread and margarine? We need to stop listening to the medical campus for nutritional advice, they have zero schooling or training in anything diet related.
    Eat real food and take a walk every day, stop making it so difficult.

      If you're not seeing results, add exercise, but the diet alone does work! Be consistent. You'll see change soon. Also stop drinking alcohol if you drink.
