My goal is to keep my sodium down to 1500 a day. I have just started to lower my sodium in the last couple of weeks and have lost 10-Ibs. I developed a excel sheet that helps me keep track of my calories, carbs., protein, sodium, potassium, magnesium and more. I was wondering if couscous acceptable on the dash diet? Thanks for the information it is what I was looking for to help me get on the right track!
Wow that’s great! Thanks for sharing your progress and motivation. I know it will inspire others. Yes couscous is a great option. They do make whole wheat couscous. 😊
I like to thank you for all your good advice in fact I like to visit you and do a breakfast, lunch and dinner, so what would be a good day and what airport do I fly to?
@@dr.lindsaymarie Please believe me that I only have good intentions for wanting to visit you and that is because I want us to spend quality time together getting to know one another better to determine if we should try and spend the rest of our lives together as husband and wife the right Godly way its supposed to be. Like singer Beyonce said "make him put a ring on it". I mean you are worth it right? Well think about it and pray about it then let me know. Either way thanks for your time and please have a rest of a wonderful day.
Hi Doctor Lindsay, thanks so much for some valuable information and most importantly you gave me some ideas about breakfast, lunch and dinner with snack, i really love this because like everyone else put some much things on RUclips but no ideas about food choices, over here your video is so educational. Both me and my husband going to use this video of yours and work on it. Thanks again. With kind regards from Sydney, Australia.
actually you can do fasting & eliminate one meal in a day.. so the body could rest for a while.. start fasting 12 hrs. then 15 hrs. or 18 hrs. eat 2x a day... Just drink water when hungry.. that's what I did, feel light, HDL increase, low LDL.
Anything in a can is going to jump the sodium, including vegetable juice, and bread very high sodium and buns vetter to eliminate them, sweets better to forget desserts
Things I love for cooking: Salt, Butter and Heavy cream. Things I Love for general consumption: liquorice, alcohol and chips. Things I should avoid, all above. Now to a question. I live in Sweden. I have access to game. Moose specifically. Should I avoid that as well and stick to fish and chicken?
Thank you for asking! Yes my Chalazion is fully gone now. I am left with a slightly different eyelid crease but you can’t really tell. I ended up doing only one session of IPL.
I later found out that I had an intestinal parasite from traveling. I believe this was the cause of my chalazion and other eye inflammation. Once the parasite was cured, I no longer had issues with my eyes. 🙏🏼 I plan to make a separate video about this! Stay tuned 😉
@@dr.lindsaymarie Yes, it was a genuine question. I need to get my BP down, and this is what the NP handed me. I honestly don't understand the high carbs. Not trying to be critical. Just seeking to understand.
I thought the procedure itself was very uncomfortable. I did not want to go back for a second one. But I also feel like the person who did my IPL session was not very gentle so I think it just depends on who you see.

The only thing that sucks is I suck at cooking, no one ever taught me. So it’s so complex that I end up just going to the store or the nearest restaurant 😢
@@dr.lindsaymarie There have been studies comparing both together for lowering blood pressure, and keto has overwhelmingly crushed the DASH diet. You should read those studies. At the same time, diabetics were able to stop their medication, which DASH did not achieve. So if we compare and do such studies with those results, we can say that the other is better. Clearly better
@@MeredithMinsky People should read more and more diversely about the cholesterol hypothesis in all aspects. Then maybe you could change your point of view on the matter. Maybe:)
How can a “healthy diet” include bread and margarine? We need to stop listening to the medical campus for nutritional advice, they have zero schooling or training in anything diet related. Eat real food and take a walk every day, stop making it so difficult.
If you're not seeing results, add exercise, but the diet alone does work! Be consistent. You'll see change soon. Also stop drinking alcohol if you drink.
I lowered blood pressure by adding potassium and magnesium and eliminating carbs and sugar . Keto like diet helped me so much.
Good to hear! Yes eliminating carbohydrates is also helpful in losing weight and for patients with diabetes.
I been doing the dash diet for 12 days and I have lost 11 pounds! I couldn’t be happier ❤
That’s amazing! Thank you for sharing. 😊

Carrots have a lot of sugar.
When I click on description the page is totally blank. Can anyone tell me why? Is it a RUclips setting?

Not when the kidneys disease is involved. I'm scared to death not knowing what will heal my kidneys. I have CKD3.
Hello. Can you please tell me where I can find a dermatologist that will treat chalazions with IPL?
Thanks
Can I eat food with carbs I'm underweight and hypertensive?

Low carb lowers BP!
Tq, dr
This seems so restrictive and hard to follow. Why such low protein and high carbs?
It’s a general guidance from a specific diet plan. You should follow what is right for you.

Keto is better.
No diet is better than another per se. It depends on your goals. For lowering blood pressure the DASH diet is better.
