Very interesting video, I enjoyed watching it. I have a 2013 Mustang GT and think it's a great car. If I ever want a Jeep that's close to the performance of my Mustang I will get the Wrangler 392.
I'm disappointed... as a mustang owner, you should know the 392 engine is big and bulky, the power drops due to weight... if the mustang just got on throttle a split second faster, it would have downshifted fast enough to blow past the 392 a couple lengths... and i'm guessing it isn't tuned, but the mustang will get loads faster, that 392 MIGHT get 10hp.
The DOHC 5.0 can rev and breathe better than the pushrods, that's why it can catch and overtake the Jeep despite the Jeeps excellent 8 speed. This is why it takes a much bigger displacement OHV engine to compete with it.
I have a 2014 GT and I love that car. It’s not a demon or gt 500 but it’s super fast for my need and with the 6 speed manual it’s a ton of fun!! I can’t believe it’s going to be 10 years since I got her!! I also enjoy watching these videos with the red mustang

Having a 2013 GT and racing my wife's 2021 Grand Cherokee SRT for the last 3 years, I knew the results before even watching this. The GC has much better aerodynamics than the Wrangler, but I reel her in every time. That 6.4 is amazing, any my wife has a best of 13.0 at 104mph in the 1/4 at 2500ft elevation. That is nothing to balk at for a N/A SUV pushing over 5K lbs. But her extra 60HP cannot overcome a 1,500lb weight difference and the aero as well, even with AWD giving her a much better 60ft time. BTW, my best was 12.5 at 112mph stock. Just FYI for those that want a better idea of how much elevation affects time slips.
...Now, after watching the video I'm pretty surprised at how slow that "392" was compared to a stock mustang. There are a lot of fast SUV's on the road, this 392 wouldn't compete with other special edition 'SUV's'. odd! Interesting video nonetheless
Well that's because other suv have 700hp on average. The jeep only got 75 hp more than my ram 1500 and plus it's got massive mud terrains. It's not gonna compete with x5m or gl63amg for sure😅
I could be wrong but there are not many faster SUVs on the road. The 392 is faster than most all of them you may run into daily and the hellcat is faster than all but a couple that cost twice as much to possibly edge it out. Mopars 6 liter SUV's are pretty dominate on the road for a SUV. A select BMW M series or a AMG might be a touch faster than the 392 but not by much especially for the price difference. And those are slower than the hellcat equipped version. You need to look at a Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT for $200,000 to edge out a $100,000 Hellcat SUV and I can tell you what's the odds of running into either one of those in the streets. Got to give Mopar credit where credit is do for affordable performance SUV's. There are some modded Jeep Trackhawks and Durangos going down the 1/4 mile in the 8's, very impressive for 5000+ lb vehicles.
