Dan, I'm a high school teacher and I'm teaching HOW TO USE THE TELEPHONE!! Thank you for your video, I'm going to share this with my Business & Marketing classes!
I’ve been scared of phone calls ever since a sales person mocked my English over phone (I was 12 and was still learning English). This video was really helpful. Thank you!!
Tip no 1 Call by ist name to catch there attention and build rapport Also repeat their names while conversing 2; pay attention and listen closely not just speaking 3, Ask questions with intent and be in control of the conversation by asking questions
I remember the old saying "we have two ears and only one mouth for a reason"- and talking on the phone in the mirror to make sure my smile is genuine tends to help the other person feel more comfortable.
Please remove back ground music it’s very much annoying, because of this reason views are less when compared to your other videos. Kindly include the subtitle too👍
Dan you are highly successful guy and I show that I respect you by my actions. Just wanted to let you know that I lose focus when you switch from one thing to another. First year teaching us something and then it goes to an ad so I completely lost everything you just said.
thank you you very much Mr. Dan . you are amazing mentor . your idea helped me lot when it comes to learning sales and marketing. thanks for sharing this kind of valuable content. lots love from Srilanka.......
Hi Dan. You're the best! Kindly provide tips as well on how to answer the job interview question on how to deal with a difficult person? This question always exist during a job interview. Thanks in advance 😊😊😊
Dan, let's say I'm already successful. You said that a person alone can't make it, and I belive in that. What if the people who are the best from that industry who would possibly mentor me, and would value me the most, have some bad habits like smoking, drinking sometimes, one night relationships or whatever. You said that a person becomes like their friends, or the people who spends the most time with.I'm still young, I have 19 years old.How should I handle this situations?Don't you think succes is dangerous sometimes, and can transform you in a way that you don't want to be?
In Brazil it is perfectly normal to call people by their first name, even in moments of extreme formality. If you call someone by the last name, everyone will find you very strange.
Hello sir! I'm a big fan of u for couple of months. And unfortunately I'm very week in English, and I truly believe that struggle can change my thinking, and I'm ready to struggle, pls sir suggest me, what is the right way, I'm shining
I used to just hang up if they persisted in a direction that had nothing for me. In my family, oddly enough, usually we don't mention our names...I do use my nephews names, but that's about it. I agree, and I love a good story. If someone calls me I engage in conversation with the intent to be a blessing to the other person. I often succeed in this. Ain't it great?
Hey Dan, Can i also call on their first name if i am very well younger than they are.Other than saying referring to them as sir or ma'am Pls i need to be sure of it
I not so sure correct or not now timing. But my way is the person must remember what my conversation with him/her even cannot recognize the voice like one girl surpose answer, ask the assistant answer my call then 2nd time I call I again, the person I pick my call don't know what the hell I asking what call she not the person I talk yesterday even she are manager because I got no time repeat again pass to the person talk to me again. This my way make the call😁
The problem is when native people speak fast. I don't catch the main idea. In addition, I am really nervous. Although it is a big challenge. I would feel more than happy...elated...if I faced off this sort of conversations.
Pardon me but referring to an unknown person in his fist name, it is impolite˙ at least in my country, Greece. I also believe that this method may be the appropriate one for the USA but I do not think that it might work in Europe.
Tuesday Twenty-Third of June Two Thousand And Twenty. 11.17ante meridiemBST. "Good-morning Sir. How are you? I trust you are well." "What, wonderful tips 😊." "Your advice is, spot on." "I, will try, to utilize your wise words. Thank you ever so much." Yours With The Greatest Respect Mr Francesca Al Kray. Postscript: Thank you. 862.
I have had the experience where a prospect on the phone noticed that i used his name every once and a while during the phone call and he, a salesman, said he thought it was a very good technique he had never come across
Dan I hate you're infomercial in the middle of your presentation. I get the idea of that but it comes on kind of assaulting, you first start getting us warmed up during the conversation and then just start getting into it and then Wham you are commercial about how did the rich stay rich. I mean obviously you get it man but damn just feel as bad taste since we cannot skip it and you're not even paying for a commercial add. Well that's enough of me ranting on. love your videos I Implement them in my sales process as a car salesman in which I would like to elevate myself from a car salesman into something else appreciate your knowledge.
I truly believe that in school we aren't taught all of the necessary things, how to ace a interview, how to write checks, talk on the phone so many things that are necessary for living that we don't know about. Parents don't even teach us, we're just expected to know how to do all of these things.
I dont mean to be so off topic but does someone know a tool to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb forgot my password. I love any tips you can give me
Outsourced Indians annoy me, too. I usually call for something their automated system can't handle, so what do they do? Read off a script like another automated system. For anything that isn't the "FAQ" stuff, they are just another layer of wasted time.

Why do you have this music on? Isn't it more important to focus on the words that are flowing, without this interruption?

Call people by their first Name: good luck in Germany 😂
Is it unnatural to use the first name when talking to Germans on the phone?
@@bogdanpysarenko6866 yeah haha. Because Germans are very formal people, they often see this as rude and feel like you don't respect them.
In Brazil it is perfectly normal to call people by their first name, even in moments of extreme formality. If you call someone by the last name, everyone will find you very strange.
Also in Japan !

Communicate in *English* with natives, it's the best way to learn as English has a lot of social language
1. Use their first name
2. Listen to them
3. Ask a good question
I used to just hang up if they persisted in a direction that had nothing for me. In my family, oddly enough, usually we don't mention our names...I do use my nephews names, but that's about it. Background music is high volume
The first name rule doesn’t apply to every society especially Ghana. In Ghana, surnames are more revered than first names
I agree, our culture is different, how about adding Mr. Mike instead of just saying Mike?
Good!
Pardon me but referring to an unknown person in his fist name, it is impolite˙ at least in my country, Greece. I also believe that this method may be the appropriate one for the USA but I do not think that it might work in Europe.
tip #3

In Bangladesh we like to call by last name
Ima come back when we can communicate without a phone and laugh at him for saying that a phone is one of the most powerful ways of communication

Ask questions with intent***

But, won't the prospect consider it a disrespect for him or her without a Mr. Or Miss before their names?
Nice
👍👍
Should I use Mr. Ms. + their names ?

Food Is like thoughts.
If you eat good food, you will have good health.
If you give your mind good thoughts, you will have a good thinking mindset.
That's very very true
Thanks
First - Call people by their first name.
Second - listening is more important than talking.
Third - ask questions with intent.
Hotel - Trivago.
Maybe you dont know but you are advertising without any money
@@hitenjadeja01 😂😂😂
Haha :D
Talk about effective business strategy; everyone knows this Trivago company even if they couldn’t care less about hotels.
Calling my mama always helps me to speak more effectively 😏
Dang son
Take ur mama at work nd stay at home
Sweet home alabama
1. call the other person by their first name
2. be an active listener
3. ask questions with intent.

Learn to teach yourself
Thats the system for you….i homeschool as school is just to put you into slave mentality getting used to that 9-5
Invest in yourself to invest in your future.
Change your mindset to change your future.
Learn everyday to earn everyday.
Yes learning is must in online business... without learning nothing is possible
This was spot on. Lots of communication books summed up in 6 mins.
" *If you ever received a call from a telemarketer, they're so annoying.* " 🤣😂

Thank you Sifu. This is powerful for both FCC's as well as face-to-face interactions. Another set of weapons to our High-Ticket Closing arsenal.
That’s a lot harder to master.
