- How to Fast. What if you decided to quit eating for an entire week? Would it be dangerous for your body? Nowadays, many people prefer to stick to periodical water fasting, so they don't consume any food and drink apart from water.
Water fasting should last for no more than a couple of days, and you should consult with a doctor beforehand. Among its benefits are lower blood pressure, improved insulin and leptin sensitivity, lower cholesterol levels, and weight loss. The first and most important thing is not to jump into a long session of water fasting right away. Your first experience with it should last for about 2 days. SUMMARY
-For the first 6 hours of your “no food” period, everything's going to be just fine.
-After 6 hours, your body begins to starve since there's not enough glucose in your blood.
-After 3 “no food” days, your brain goes to another extreme and starts to break down your body's protein. This happens because proteins release amino acids, which can be converted into the glucose your body so desperately needs.
-After one “no food” week, your immune system becomes extremely weak because it isn’t receiving any vitamins or minerals.
-Starvation may lead to death after almost a month or up to 70 days.
-There's one rule when it comes to water fasting: you don't consume any food and drink apart from water. According to specialists, water fasting should last for no more than a couple of days, and a consultation with a doctor beforehand is obligatory.
-If you want to water fast because of the weight loss factor, you have another option: intermittent fasting. This means eating nothing (or just a few calories) for a certain period of time and then eating as usual for another period.
-The first and most important thing is not to jump into a long session of water fasting right away. Your first experience with it should last for about 2 days. Listen to your body carefully during your first water fasting.
-When you're done with your fasting, you should break it slowly. Easily digested foods like soups, juices, pureed fruit, white rice, and mashed potatoes are the best products for your first 2 days.

I did 28 days without food, the first 3 were the hardest, after 7 days I didn't want to eat, at 14 days I felt energised, I had no negative side effects but started slowly returning to food on day 29. Every 3 months I now fast for 3 - 4 weeks. I used to weigh 250kg, now I don't get above 120kg regardless of foods, food amount, or exercise.

I'm 70 years old and just did a 30 day water fast. I did cardio for 4 hours and 1 hour of resistance training every day and never felt better. I lost 35 lbs in those 30 days. I didn't contact a doctor because they would have said I was nuts. That was 5 months ago and I haven't put on a single pound of weight.
I think you should go to your doctor take all the exames you can and when they see the results they will be shock how much you improved your health in this 5 months Sir . I understand you because when I done my 8 days water fasting after 5 days I was feeling so so great that I told my colleagues at work. What a mistake I done. After they were keeping telling me to eat to eat to eat at the end I had to eat on the 8th day because of them and I wasn't even hungry. But I learned the lesson .Next time I won't tell anyone I'm fasting.

A few months ago I weight 190 pounds and after fasting for so long I'm down to 158 and now doing it again to get 120 it really works
7 day water fast does not break down your muscle. You can exercise by lifting weights and doing calisthenics and actually gain muscle mass during the 7 day fast, no problem.
Life Hack (if you try the water fast diet): If you start to feel overwhelmingly hungry, eat ice and for some reason it helps. I recommend crushed ice, it's the best kind of ice! :)

I just had very bad body dysmorphia and was still recovering from an ED but i’m doing sm better now:)

I have gained some weight throughout the year but i’m now at an average weight, rather than underweight for my age which is great! It’s been a long time but i’ve been slowly recovering from my eating disorder and i’m doing just fine:)

I have done a five day water fast. Felt born again after! I now adopt IF daily, Monday to Friday with carb cycling at the weekends to give me the energy to play tennis. Enjoy!

Metabolism is weird but when you don’t eat it slows down even more to persevere left over energy, try to at least eat 3 small meals and see if anything improves. Those meals should include omega 3s in them(walnuts, salmon, chia seeds, etc.) and something spicy(peppers). If you want you can have an acidic fruit as a snack or dessert(orange, lemon, grapefruit, etc.) but don’t have the acidic fruits/spicy if you’re gonna keep an empty stomach since it could lead to acid reflux. An additional workout of 20-30minutes and drinking 8 cups(64oz) of water also help.

I tried the keto diet for about 3 months. I lost 20 pounds and I'm at 157. My goal weight is 127 lbs by december. Hopefully this new diet will help me. I just started today and went for a 30 minute jog. So far, not bad. Going for 2 days fasting and one day with lunch and dinner. I usually don't eat breakfast anyways. If I can't do the one day meals, I'll convert to 5 days on, 2 days off. Wish me luck!

Felt the most confidence I've known after an extended fast coupled with prayer.
I hit the scale at 400lbs even in December of 2019 before the pandemic was declared in march of 2020!! Now been october of 2021 I'm at 224 lbs!! Just by doing the experiment of the fella that lost all the weight in the 70's by just drinking water, coffee and tea!! and I will tell you all it hasn't been easy but it has been worth it all along now my goal is to reach 190 and I will reach it by the end of this year and received 2022 as a new person in mind, body and soul!! I’ve been fasting on and off continuously for 3 months now and my periods have stopped.
It does stop it, I have issues with yo-yo eating and I skip mine a few months at a time and it comes back when I eat more
Skipping periods is super unhealthy when it happens from malnourishment. There are healthier ways to stop periods other than starving or fasting. Birth control is one way.

I'm currently 63 hrs into my first water fast and have barely felt hungry throughout. Had a bit of light headedness the first day and had to have a nap yesterday afternoon but have felt pretty productive otherwise. Have even managed to do some light yoga and resistance training and am continuing my daily routine including walking around 5 miles a day. All my aches and pains have disappeared and I've lost at least 4 pounds. Feel like I could go on for the full working week but I'm not sure if this is advisable for a first multi-day fast. I have been doing a combination of intermittent fasting and calorie restricted diet for nearly a month though, so I feel like my body can take it. Still got plenty of fuel in the tank so to speak as I need to shift over 50 pounds to be at the top end of my normal BMI. I am 34.
I have done 65 hour without food...Just very small sips of protein drinks...So I cheated a little..

problematic princess for a 7 day it’s not needed, but if you were to go a month I would find a good multivitamin to take as directed just help out.

I doing a water fast and I’m on day 6. This has probably been the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I’ve lost about 12 lbs so far. Drinking cold water helps with the small stomach aches and growling lol

If you fast for a week by only drinking water you’ll be perfectly fine. I’ve done it plenty of times and the only thing that you’ll go through is some headaches and after 3-4 days you’ll feel better than you ever have

I got obsessed with my weight at some point during quarantine,, then i got brave and did the 7 day water fast out of the blue. i usually eat a LOT of food so tho my stomach got flatter and the scale said i lost 7kg, all i did was eat for months.. unless ur really sure you won't yoyo after the 7 day fast, then I'd say its pretty ok to do it.

I did water fasting for 3days while going to school and felt great
Kaepow Boom same but I did it for about 2 months while having a break on the weekends and I lost around 20lbs

I used to fast for 18 hours a day-
and I had anemia, that I think is now coming back, which made me fall to the ground each time I got up, even slowly. I stopped for some months tho now.

@@ely.00 your starving. True Fasting is health minded with very healthy eating during feeding times and planned fasting times gradually adapting the body to it and improving. If you eat very small amounts of junk then that's starving and your metabolism goes down and you lose muscle...you Don't want that to happen
