  • Overall, There's something about the simplicity of an automatic drip coffee maker that makes it hard to beat. The Cuisinart Programmable Coffeemaker is ideal for those looking for a no-fuss machine that still offers smart adjustability.
It has all the basics you need to look out for in a drip-type coffee maker - size and capacity, adjustable carafe temperature, programmable brewing schedule, and a permanent filter that won’t require replacement.

So what are the downsides? In all honesty while I like to provide balance in all my reviews so you can consider all the possibilities, I’m having a hard time finding anything that is a major negative on this machine. It has all the important features for an automatic coffee maker and was easy to program to boot. While I suppose one might wish for adjustable water temperature during the brewing process, that seems like some thing that only true coffee connoisseur’s would really be after.
In short, you're looking for a reliable coffeemaker with smart features I can definitely recommend the Cuisinart PerfecTemp 14 cup programmable coffee maker to you.
It sells for about $120US/$170CAD and you can get it, as I did, from Amazon.

@@ErinLawrenceTV I'm sipping on my first cup - delicious! I'm not sure I'm a fan of the carafe, though.

Thank You Erin for this review. I might give this a try. I drink more cups a day than I should. I tried a Keurig coffee maker a couple of years back and it didn't take too long to start getting belly aches after a few cups. Out of curiosity I cup open an unused pod and measured how many teaspoons of coffee were in it. Switched to a single cup brewer with a #4 paper filter that sits on top of your mug. Belly ache disappeared.

H i, Erin, thank you for another informative review. I like it, but--alas!--I do not have enough counter space for it in my apt kitchen.😕

Hi, Erin -- Great video! When you test the coffee brewed by this (and other) coffeemakers, do you drink it black?

Hi Erin, does this coffee maker allow you to turn it back on after the auto shut off to heat the remaining coffee, or will you have to start another brewing cycle? Thanks!

Water starts pouring out the bottom before I can get my pot on the bottom. I don’t like that.
