Have had one for 12 years. Still going strong!
I love it. The water is slow to leave the filter however. A full 2 cups after the machine stopped brewing.
I settled on this coffee maker because my parents had one about 20-30 years ago. Good memories.
So far I’ve only used Newman’s because Amazon has a great deal.

My mother In Law works cleaning her boss's homes in Malibu. Her boss did not want the coffee maker so my mother-in-law knowing I love brewing coffee, she brings it to me. It's a nice machine and it does the Job, plus this video helped me to get an idea of how to go bout running this sucker properly :)

It makes a great alarm clock. I don’t like the rubber on the bottom because you have to lift it to move it out to fill it. But I like everything else about it.

Got mine in 2008. Still going strong. Unfortunately, the price is 60% higher. The DCC 3200 appears to be an updated version. I just got a DCC 3400 at $3 over this model.

Interesting, I had a Cusinart Keurig machine when Cuisinart had the licence for Keurig. It had the same charcoal filter. Looks good, my Hamilton Beach brew station just died.

I’m having an issue with this model. Purchased six weeks ago and it’s burning my coffee something terrible. I have tried 1 to 1.5 tbsp per 6 ounce cup and I get the same result. I tried paper and gold tone filters. When brewing water alone you can smell the scalding. I’ve tested the temp with a meat thermometer and it seems to hover around 200 degrees. I’m at a total loss. Used this model for years before I retired at the office.
When I switch mine to auto off it doesn’t show me the time for shutting down. Is there something wrong with it or do I have to take another step in order to get the auto off timer?
How do you set clock

should i use semi fine ground coffee or coarse
I would use a Medium Grind Coffee. If the grounds are too fine then the filter will back up and water could overflow the filter basket. Too course of ground coffee and you don't get the proper flavor extraction. If I had to choose then I would go a little finer and see if the water overflows the filter basket.

Do you have to put the knob to BREW mode when you want the plate heat up the carafe after the brew is done?
no the plate warmer should come on after a brew.
So after the brew done, is it okay to keep to BREW mode, and power ON if you want the plate heat up the carave? my only concern since there's no water inside the machine, it might damage the machine if I keep putting to BREW mode?
@@stomperr69 Yeah not a good idea to keep it in brew mode with no water. This model will not let you turn the warming plate on after it shutoff
My brother in law has this and now the coffee maker is shutting off during the time you put it on.
Wow that is not good. Maybe the auto off Function is set too low. It will shut off the coffee maker warmer plate after you brew a pot of coffee if it is set to 0. The default is 2 hours but you can go as high as 4 hours. Turn function selector to auto off and press and hold the hour button. then select 2 hours and it will stay on for 2 hours after you brew your coffee pot. let me know if this helps. thanks for watching!!
Why is the cup coffee temp only 165 ish , but on another video of yours that same coffee maker had it up to 175. I almost bought it, then i saw this. NOw i dont know if i want it. I need hotter coffee and im not paying like $300

for 12 cups of water, how much do you add coffee?
I put in 12 Tablespoons of coffee Grounds, but you can add 13 or 14 or 10 or 11 depending on taste. But 1 Tablespoon per cup of coffe taste just right to me. Thanks for Watching!!!
I always put more water than coffee for scoops of coffee - for 6 cups of water measured by the carafe I would use 5 scoops of coffee because water gets left in the grounds
1 tbsp per cup, which works out to 3/4 cup.
Really enjoy mine…however, I’m ready for an upgrade…it’s over 15yrs old..🙄
I have to admit, you used a small amount of coffee for all the water you poured. Do you like your coffee strong or weak? It looks like this will come out pretty weak.
