This literally has to be one of the best review videos I've ever seen. No sarcasm. Excellent job!
This is a great video for those of us who have lost the instruction booklet. This is the Cuisinart I own. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks so much for the thorough demonstration of Cuisinart's DCC-3200 Coffee Maker. I've had a Cuisinart before, which I loved. Then, when it stopped working after 2 years, I jumped on the Keurig bandwagon, only to end up resenting the constant maintenance it required -- especially the dreaded "Oops - Sorry" message when it requires additional, out-of-the-ordinary maintenance which I never did figure out. I learned the hard way that Cuisinart is the way to go for a great cup of Joe. In fact, my new DCC-3200 will be arriving in just a few hours! Can hardly wait! Thanks again, Dad! I enjoyed your demonstration.
Thanks for teaching in how to program this coffee maker. got it from the thrift store and did not have any instructions. It was a 15 dollar steal.
I just bought this coffee maker and your videos have been so helpful! Thanks for the help!
You are so welcome! Thanks for Watching and your Kind Words!!!
My prior Cusinart lasted about 4 years, beautiful metallic red. Had to buy another Cusinart today at Target; it was this model. I actually like the appearance of stainless steel. Very sturdy; this was so helpful in viewing this video, as l had that previous model. Thanks so much. ❤️
Your reviews are so detailed and informative. Thank you 😊
You are so welcome! Thanks for such nice Words!!!!
This was so detailed I truly appreciate the review!
your So welcome!!! glad it helped!
The tape measure giving dimensions (while open) was a great detail, thanks for the review
Hi, I’ve just watched this video and you’re very good describing and showing the features and performance of coffee makers. I’ve spent the day doing research and decided on this Cuisinart model. Found it on Amazon in copper finish, can’t hardly wait to get it. 👍
Thank you ! I am going to get this (through your link) in two days ! I have too many pkgs comiing right now...lol(I'm a crafter/card maker) so need to wait.... GREAT review ! :) UPDATE: Couldn't wait... AND right now..July 8, 2024...it's $79.99 GREAT BUY ! Arrives in two days!
I love it that you do measurements with the lid open.
my coffee was coming out so slow, and i didn’t realize i was suppose to keep the lid on the pot🤦♀️. This video was helpful!!
Good job figuring it out! proud of you!
You answered my question. My coffee was very weak. I was choosing 1-4 ,but filling the water up to the top. You just said less coffee adjust the water amount. Thanks a lot !
Glad I could help!! Good job!!!
What is your favorite Coffee K Cup?
Thank you. Very helpful.
Great review, super helpful and informative!
Your explanation was superb. Thanks
Thanks. I got mine 2 days ago at the second hand store and did have the manual, now know how to program my $11 new coffee maker!❤️💜😁
Good find!!! this is a nice coffee maker. Thanks for watching and good luck with your new coffee maker.
$11.00???? #suchadeal
@Lisa K. yes, but that one died a week ago, and we got the same model, but a year older in $6.80 used, but like new. Even the manual and box came with
Thx so much for this video; it was so helpful!
You're so welcome!
I've had several of these for number of years, and before that I had the retro looking Cuisinart model with the toggle switch (I forget the model number, 1200?). The 3200 brews better .This was and it is one of the top recommended automatic drip coffee brewers from Consumer Reports, one of the few got the water temperature high enough. The previous units of this model seemed to stop heating sufficiently after about a year and a half, and I had to purchase another one, but the last one has been going for a few years and is okay. I also descale it more often, although I'm not sure that was the issue with the element not eating enough before after a while. In the several of this model and the previous model going back over 15 years I think, no matter how long I went before descaling, Clean button never illuminated by itself to indicate he needed cleaning as they say it should. At one point about a half year ago I thought my current unit also was brewing at lower temperatures, so I ordered a new one, which is the P1 version, but the beeps just another coffee is ready and/or has turned off we're so faint you could hardly hear them a few feet away, and I returned the unit thinking it was defective. After than then descaling once or twice, my previous unit seemed revived. It may be because some people complained about the loud beep that Cuisinart made it softer, but if they made it that soft, they might as well not have it. There is, after all, an on/off button for the beep if people don't want to hear it. Having such a faint beep is a deal breaker for me because I like to hear in the next room. I see that you list the model as the P1 updated version and the beep sounds pretty loud, so maybe the one I returned was just defective.
As an aside, about the same time I ordered it this last Cuisinart, or just before, I tried the Ninja, which had a strong plastic smell, and the coffee tasted terrible, so I returned it got this same model Cuisinart again.
I use the 1 to 4 cups setting because I only brew about 3 1/2 (it actually comes out to 3 cups after brewing) and a time (and I use 6 tablespoons of beans, before grinding, for those three and a half cups. How the 1 to 4 cup setting works is that it preheats the water before the brewing process starts to compensate for the machine starting cold for a small amount. I do find the Bold setting produces a richer or stronger cup, but it may be more apparent with less than 4 cups brewed.

What is your favorite Coffee Brand?
@@JustADad 🤗 I’m new to the coffee world. Grew up drinking Tea. In the process of exploring different coffee brands right now. At the moment I’m addicted to Peet’s brand coffees. I bought this exact coffee maker from Amazon after viewing your review. Its about 5 stops away as I’m writing this response. Thank you 🙏
@@byefelicia8632 Awesome!!! I love how you can see where you package is. Thanks for the update and definitely let me know what you think of it.
@@JustADad Its a great coffee maker. My first cup of coffee came out great. For $100, I thought it might make bad coffee. But it made excellent coffee. The water filter idea inside the coffee maker is genius . No need to remember to buy purified water. Just use tap water and the filter helps makes the water soft. I bought the Umber. It looks incredibly nice on my countertop. Thank you for helping me buy my VERY FIRST coffee maker. You can see where your package is on the Amazon app. Its a great feature. God bless you and your family 🙏🙏🙏

What is your favorite Coffee brand?
We filter our water with a filter in our refrigerator so we don't plan to use the charcoal filter. My wife questions whether we need to keep the filter holder in position in the coffee maker if we do not plan to use the charcoal filter. I don't think it makes a difference. Can you review and let me know your opinion? Thank you.
That’s a great question; l never use tap water; l use distilled water only…
I’m excited! Just got mine at Target for on sale at $65!
Thanks, just ordered one.
Hope you enjoy it!
The brew temp and sunburst head makes a good cup of coffee. About the only improvement would be an insulated pot instead of the warming plate. Great for the price and simple.
Nice video, much much better than what Cuisinart channel has, I was excited about BOLD option when I saw this machine at Costco but now that am testing at home think its a joke, I want my coffee real strong so will go back to capsules 😢
Excellent video.
Thanks for the visit
You nailed it.
Helpful, thanks!

@@JustADad I'm kind of a coffee novice. I stick w/ Folgers :P
@@Phriendship folgers is a great coffee, I started out with it for over a year. and my dad has drank folgers for like ever. Thanks for Sharing. I like Dunkin Donuts medium roast.
brand new Cuisinart 3200; first 3 days, perfect! Next 3 days, water backing up resulting in coffee grounds overflowing filter and splashing on
Used about three small tablespoons of coffee and that brews a strong pot for me. Might want to experiment and possibly save on coffee costs
I usually do a 2tbsp scoop for every 3 cups (so 1 for every 1.5 cup)
Great detailed review. The only thing I was looking for 10 or 12 cup. Does it seem a lot bigger then a 12 cup?
yes but not a great amount but you can tell its bigger.
Thank you.
You're welcome!
One of the aspects of bold brew, it will make a bit of difference when you grind your own coffee..that bloom feature does help, but I've never seen you use anything but basic ground coffees, dunkin donuts...not much you can do will that type of coffee. Would like to see you do grinders and actually try a great coffee for a change
Good point
I want this coffee maker but I have the 10 cup version and it just won’t die 😂😂😂
Funny, it may never die, Cuisinart makes a great product.
I had the 12 cup one, for about 4 years. It finally died this morning, lol.
I really enjoy your channel. Came across it yesterday (instantly subscribed) after my Cuisinart DCC-1200 finally died. So I started looking at the 3200 so I could keep with black stainless to go with my appliances. My only issue is keeping it clean in the reservoir, even with doing the clean/descaling.. I even try to do it before it says it needs it and I keep my charcoal packs changed every 1-2mo..
That being said, I’m watching some of your other videos and I like some of the Ninja ones(removable reservoir), so now I don’t know what to choose, too many options lol..
Seriously though, I like having features but prefer simple and easy to clean. I just know my wife’s Keuring isn’t cutting it lol..
any thoughts on others I should look into?
Thank you sir
Thanks so much for your support!! The Ninja Coffee makers are hard to beat, I too like the removable reservoir, Check out this video for best Dual brew coffee maker ruclips.net/video/NY07sm_EelU/видео.html
@@JustADad you are welcome sir!! Oh, I’m not wanting a dual system. She has her small Keurig for the occasional cup she has.. I’m old school and want a carafe.. my main thing is the ability to keep it clean. I like being able to put things in the dishwasher and after realizing no matter how much I clean/descale, the best option is the removable reservoir..
I’m scrolling through your videos now trying to see some options
Ha! Found mine at Goodwill for $10. I checked the current price at Amazon and quickly grabbed it when it said it was $100 new. Great finds!
I wanna purchase the one that Costco has it, I'm wondering if this coffee maker comes with reusable filter, or should I use a filter to brew the coffee? and what do you recommend? reusable stainless steel mesh filter or paper filter? thanks
Wife bought me this coffee maker for our anniversary. Strangely... after maybe about a week of use, the Cuisinart is making a loud tapping noise about once every 4-6 seconds while it's brewing. I don't remember it doing this the first couple uses. Any ideas what might be going wrong?
If you never need 14 cups is the 12 cup maker as good. I'll only need 6 when out of town guests come.
I have a question. I bought mine used and it comes with a permanent filter. Would you recommend me getting the cone filters as well or will the permanent filter serve me well
Great Question. I think the reusable filter you get a better tasting coffee but you do get a little bit of Sediment at the bottom of your coffee cup. A Paper filter you do not get any sediment. Both taste great but I think the sidemen has a little more flavor. Check out my video where I compare reusable coffee filter to a Paper filter. Thanks for Watching!!!
ruclips.net/video/_ViYni9tG3A/видео.html
I have a question for you that requires a photo of the spout that the coffee comes from before it goes into the carafe. I feel like I have a big space between the maker and the carafe. Could you take a photo of what yours looks like where you can see the spout close up where the coffee is coming out from?
I sent you a pick. Make sure that you have a 14 cup carafe or coffee pot it should go all the way and touch the bottom of the filter basket.
Does the auto off stay set where you want it or does it always default back to 2 hours ? Also I use a separate container for filling, because I usually have left over coffee in the pot. ( less hassle )
Auto off stays set
Would you prefer this over the Keurig K Duo Single Serve and Carafe Coffee Maker? I had read people having trouble with this Cuisinart leaking water in the back so now im back to debating
This is a nice coffee maker, I have not had any problems with any of those machines. it depends if you want a pot of coffee and a K cup then I made a video on my top picks. ruclips.net/video/NY07sm_EelU/видео.html
Question; If you set it to make 1-4 cups, BUT, you add, the 14 cups of water and you add coffee for 14 cups; Will the coffee maker STOP the water flow STOP, once it makes 1-4 cups???
Or will it only recognize what you put in (the 14 cups water) and just keep brewing until the 14 cups are done?
It brews whatever amount of water you put in the reservoir each time. The 1/4 button only changes how the brewer brews that amount. It takes a little longer when you press the 1/4 button. If you only want 4 cups of coffee then only fill the water reservoir up to the 4 cup mark. Hope this helps.
What is your Favorite coffee?
After you press tone to turn off beep, does it stay that way on the next brew or do you have to press the tone button every brew to turn beep off?
yes it stays that way
Hey..What do you do with all of the coffee makers? Are they for sale?
Yes They are all for Sale on Ebay and Facebook Marketplace. This one is not on there yet but most of the others are. My EBAY Store is CRFGALAXY
Thanks for Watching!!!!
Thanks for the review it’s amazing. I bought this coffee maker today for $99. I have 15 days to return. I was just looking in Best Buy and I found “nutribullet Brew Choice Pod + Carafe” for $39 ( original price $139.99 ) $100 discount.
What’s your thoughts on “nutribullet Brew Choice Pod + Carafe” ? I believe it’s good deal .
I will pass on the nutribullet coffee maker, ruclips.net/video/61hEYYVUJpw/видео.html
I'm debating between this and the Hamilton Beach one that you reviewed with the single serve on the left side. I know this one has a few more features and is a bit pricier, so I was going for this one, but a lot of the Amazon reviews show damage and rusting of the plate, to the point that the unit needs to be replaced. For that reason, would you recommend the Hamilton Beach over this one? Seems like a pretty big design flaw in the Cuisinart.
Thanks for Watching!! I have reviewed a lot of Cuisinart coffee makers. They seem to made better than most. the only thing I notice with them is like the review say the warming plate the paint flakes off and sometimes I do see rust. The ones I have they might look bad but the warming plate always works, I have a couple that look like they should not work and still do. The first thing that starts is the paint flakes off the warming plate so the black paint is gone and you see silver under it. then it might start to rust but that is after a long time. The Hamilton beach is a good machine but What I find is that Hamilton beach coffee makers are just made a little cheaper than most. They kinda feel cheaper. They make good coffee though. The single serve on the side of the Hamilton Beach I am not that impressed with. I have found when you use anytype of Reusable Coffee Filter without a paper filter you can get sediment in your coffee. It taste ok but at the bottom of your cup you will see it. Also This is a 14 Cup coffee maker but it takes up the footprint of a normal size 12 cup. The hamilton Beach is kinda of a Big Coffee maker because of the Side Single Serve. I would only get the hamilton beach if you plan on using the single serve. Thanks Again and I hope I did not confuse you even more, But bottom line I would not be afraid of the Cuisinart.
@@JustADad This is super helpful, thank you! I'm going with the Cuisinart (this model). After thinking about it more, I have a Nespresso for single use, and I like that this has some additional features the HB doesn't, and it takes up less space. I have a specific spot on the counter where I need this to fit and think the HB may be too wide. You also alleviated my concerns about the plate, so thank you for the response! Great reviews, thanks for posting!
@@ahintz222 Awesome, Thanks Again!!!
Cusinart does make a single serve and 14 cup serve model as well
I just bought this unit off Amazon, does it brew a "better" cup of coffee then a $30 Mr Coffee ? I've had a cheap Mr Coffee that I've used for years and had quite a few over the years but I decided I wanted a little better quality unit BUT I dont know that it'll taste any better then a Mr Coffee
I hope its going good
Hi! I have this coffee machine and love it. But out of no where it won’t turn on? Please does anyone know how to fix it
There is a 3 year warranty. They are sending me a replacement.
How do you brew only 2 cups
Mr. Just A Dad,
After I pour myself coffee in the morning, leave for work, and return in the late evening, can I use the remaining water in the coffee maker for the following morning and simply change the filter and grinds for the following day without necessarily wiping down the inside? Or is it recommended that I wipe the interior and wash the pot daily?
Yes that would be fine I wash my filter basket and pot about every 3rd day, you can leave the lid open and the water inside will dry out
@@JustADad thank you!
brand new Cuisinart 3200; first 3 days, perfect! Next 3 days, water backing up resulting in coffee grounds overflowing filter basket and splashing on bottom of lid. Help! Only using 10 cups of water and 5 scoops of coffee.
Would you pick this over the ninja xl
no I love the ninja!!!!
Can this fill straight into a thermos?
No, you have to have a something that can press up the plunger in the bottom of the filter basket.
Just bought this coffee maker. I think mine has a defect, every time I put the coffee pot back in, the top right corner pops open a bit. I end up having to push it back down every time. I don't think it's supposed to do that.
is it the lid that pops up?
@@JustADad Yeah it was but somehow it fixed itself, so it's all good now.
@@armen1136 Thanks for the update! The lids can get hot and sometimes mine deforms a little
Can I plug this on 220v?
No, only standard 120volt
I went through cleaning process and nowmy buttons don't light up
How does this compare to the braun brew series?
Great Question. This is a 14 cup. and the braun is a 12 cup. both make the same tasting coffee, The braun is a little harder to use with the control panel. I love the Cuisinart control panel Display is much easier to see on Cuisinart. but the Cuisinart is a bigger coffee maker, so if size is an issue then the braun. I think long term they are both built very good and should last.

I just do not get why someone would pay this much for a coffee pot. It's like someone going to pay hundreds of dollars for a pair of shoes that go on your dirty feet. In my mind I just do not understand it... I could make it with some boiling water and some coffee beans. Everybody's fascination with gadgets leads to a $100 coffee pot and I'm sure there are more expensive ones out there but I will never see them
