    I just wanted to say, thank you so much for this video! Much better than the official Cuisinart video! Their video didn’t say, or show that the clean light would be flashing, not solid - the manual wasn’t clear either-and their video also didn’t warn that the process stops and starts so it had me freaking out. I was absolutely positive that once The cleaning function started and then stopped that my machine was for sure broken. LOL
    Thank you again!

    Thank you so much for making & posting this video. It's the 2nd time I've had to refer to this video. It's very concise & very well done!
    PS: Personally, I would not use the blue liquid cleaning product. Just use a tiny amount of Dawn & a 'Dobie brand' teflon scrub pad. (Dobie scrubbers won't scratch anything ) Restaurants clean their coffee pots by using their usually smaller size ice cubes (fill coffee pot 1/2 way), then squeeze lots of fresh lemon juice (1 to 2 🍋) on the ice... and finally LOTS of salt - approx. 2/3 to 3/4 cup. Vigorously swirl around until you can't see any brown on the glass carafe. 😊

    My maker is repeatedly turning off in the middle of the vinegar cleaning process, with the beep sounding. It cleaned for the first 6 cups (I only used a total of 12 cups of water/vinegar) but I have 6 more cups to go! I have pressed and help the clean button to restart numerous times- but it just won’t go and finish the cleaning process. What is up with that? I guess I’m forced to dump the last 6 cups of water/vinegar. I just tried unplugging the maker and plugging it back in to do a hard reset. But- again, No Go. It won’t finish cleaning. Have you heard of this problem? What could be causing it?- Jeanie

    My coffee machine stopped working halfway through a cycle when I went to make a pot this morning. Tried brewing normal nothing, tried vinegar and water to brew after emptying...nothing. Tried the clean button as you showed and still nothing. It doesn't sound like it is trying to brew at all. Is this a sign of it being damaged some how or just extremely clogged? Any ideas on what else to do?

    • @JustADad
      @JustADad  2 года назад

      Thanks so much!!! I think this has to do with, they want you to add a little more than than what the carafe 14cups is. Some of the water is lost to steam, so the 14 cup in the machine is a little more than the 14 cups on the carafe, thats why when you fill the carafe all the way to the 14 cup mark and then pour it in the machine it is just a little shy.

    • @JustADad

      when does the clean light flash. when you try to brew coffee or when you do a clean mode? If it flashes when you do a brew then it is telling you its time to descale.

    I've never seen my clean light come on in the several years I've had this pot. Is it supposed to come on automatically?

    • @JustADad
      @JustADad  3 года назад +1

      The clean button will turn red around it, it has a red light behind the button that will turn on when the coffee maker senses that your coffee maker needs descaled. if you have really soft water this may not come on for a long time. If you have hard water it comes on usually within about 4 months. So your light might not come because your water is very soft which is a good thing. Hard water is really hard on coffee makers. I would still do descale just to stay on top of it, but if your coffee is hot and taste good then you might be ok without doing it. Thanks for Watching and good question.
