- Using a ruler with the comprehensive X-Ray book, it becomes easy to show a prospective buyer how well Rambler compares with the competition. This video shows how to do it.

In the poster in the background: "The Sensable Spactaculars" That about sums it up--dorky looking cars that were really good cars.
I sure do miss my 65 Classic 770 2drHT. White/blue 6/stick. Had it in ‘98/‘99. Built very well. Even had front disc brakes. The bad part, torque tube coil sprung rear with panhard bar. I really wanted to do a V8 swap but having no frame (unibody), I was stuck using that rear end. Once the transmission grenaded, I sold it.
That Classic has almost an export look with its' fancy wheelcovers on blackwall tires.
I’ll take a Classic Cross Country please.
I remember drilling holes in the firewall in order to change the leaking 'freeze plug' in the back of the block on old Ramblers. Not bad cars, not good cars. (then again, not many - if any - cars back then were actually 'good' by today's standards.)
The car shown with stacked headlights is a 66 model
1965 and 1966 Ambassadors both had stacked headlights. The easiest way to tell the difference is the 1966 had chrome trim on the front corner of the front fenders about six inches long while the 1965 the front fenders were plain.
@@scrambler69-xk3kv My dad had a 66 ambassador wagon.327 white ,blue interior. Was a good car.Got my drivers license in it.Had cold ac.
AMC made a good product in the 1960s. Their market was people who saw cars as transportation, not as personal statements.
This one reminded me of the 60s era Personna razor blade commercials.

Typical Rambler customer: old guy in
hat.
In 1965 a GM car was much more attractive.
The babe in the stupid hat would look so much better in a GTO or Impala
yeah ok.....
Most guys in the 1960's white color people especially wore hats like him.
