Three H2s throttle out of Cameron, IL

Stop-and-go eastbound traffic became a staple of our day in Cameron, Illinois last August. With exception to the Southwest Chief, nothing moving east exceeded about twenty per. While this meant most eastbound trains through town on the Chilli weren't particularly exciting, there were some exceptions, such as this intermodal, pointed by a triplet of General Electrics in old, however surprisingly clean, Heritage 2 paint. Not only was this solid H2 consist somewhat uncommon in 2020, but it also made quite a scene accelerating from a dead stop, giving a good show of the characteristic sounds of 4,400 horsepower 7FDL and GEVO motors working hard.
