The more you go down the Prince rabbit hole the more you'll see why us Prince fans get so irritated when people refer to Prince as a "pop star" This man was way more than that & he wasn't obsessing over billboards & being in magazines after a certain point in his career. Prince said even during Purple Rain that he had ZERO interest in making a "Purple Rain 2" The record labels try to force that but his music always changed. Prince wanted to create artistry. The piano medley was the best part of multiple Prince concerts. I saw this tour at Wembley arena, but the best medley for me was at the O2 in London in 2007. For like 15 minutes, he’d start playing something and the crowd would scream with anticipation, and then he’d stop and say “Nah, y’all ain’t ready for that”. Then he’d start another, and throw that away too. 20 songs we all loved, including 8 or 9 huge hits, and he just threw them away, because…he was Prince doing Prince things. How I miss him.
You do know this was only part of the concert, of course he did a full concert with his showmanship, singing and dancing. The piano was his first instrument, therefore he was superior on that instrument as well, not just the guitar. He was a musical savant.

I'm afraid I was one of the peeps with sparklers in there :) They distributed them in the bus from Holland (most peeps in there were Dutch, bussed in from Holland to populate this show. It was being televised , and I think Prince loved a Dutch crowd). Fun times!
If I remember correctly the Lovesexy concert in Holland had to be cancelled and they made up by giving the Dutch fans tickets and busses to Dortmund, Germany. I saw the Lovesexy concert in Antwerp, Belgium. I had gotten hooked to Prince two years earlier. He was actually very popular in Europe and toured there about every year with a new album. After this tour, I started to go to multiple concerts each tour and ended up seeing him 57 times in concert, including some rare aftershows. I still miss him everyday 😢
It was a concert in Germany with only a Dutch audience, because Prince had a bond with the Dutchies. But on this tour he forced people to sing along and praise the Lord with him...Now there's one thing Dutch people hate and that's forcing.... and especially religion. That's something you keep to yourself. You can still hear the anger whistles in the audience...but Prince handled it fantastic with a tease and his fabulous humor.
Anger whistles? When? Just whistles to me… The audience wasn’t very respectful cheering the stupid football chant related “Holland!” You keep that shite to yourself. Not the place not the time. Respect what the artist wants to show and if you don’t like it you can leave. Nobody forced you. Prince asks the audience clap your hands or sing along in every show
@@Cormac-jd2kx If you as an artist feel the need to through in some religious stuff fine ( Anna Stacia). But you can expect a reaction and it might not be your cup of tea.. Everyone has had some experiences with that. And the Dutch make it very clear that they don't like it. In America it's standard that you flaunt with god. Just a cultural difference. I thought Prince handled it well and it 's not nice of the audience to react the way they did....the whistles were out of anger... not to join in , but rather to disturb and it's annoying and disrepectfull.
@@sldorhout1religious? Annastesia is spiritual and about drugs but mainly spiritual like most of his output. The whole tour and album was gospel in his own words. If the Dutch (you talk as if they were ALL sheep 😂) were such a good audience (which obviously aren’t) as they say they would at least KNOW what Prince was about in the first place and the would respect the artist as a norm of politeness. Prince was basically church according to Miles Davis and to anyone that knows what time it is. I guess the Dutch would never visit a Buddhist temple or any Christian cathedral or a Hindu temple or Shinto shrine etc Probably whistle some football chants nobody cares 😂 I’ve attended shows in America Japan and all over Europe. The worst crowd? The Dutch 😂 I remember even in a sound check in 2004 in Rotterdam Prince was asking the people please not to smoke and they didn’t care. The smell of pot was all over the place and it was Prince the one that decided letting people in to be in the sound check. Then after the concert in the aftershow Prince was in a bad mood and everyone noticed. I wonder why

I call this look, his sexy pirate look! 😁 Please check out his Madhouse material, 80s funky jazz! Later material on his N.E.W.S. album have a smoother jazz fusion. He was a playful brat on stage during the early tours. One press nickname was His Royal Badness! 😁
I Wish U Heaven and The Cross from the same concert are insanely good, goosebumps level
I bet they’re epic, I’ll have to check them out!
@@setonhillstudios For sure, and his live performance of Motherless Child will blow you away too
Be sure to check out Prince on Muppets Tonight. He and the Muppets do a great production of "Starfish & Coffee" which is one of if not THE best all-ages appropriate songs by Prince.
Gotta check that out! Thanks!
Lovesexy tour in Dormunt. I got It in VHS vídeo tape. Its Such a fantàstic live performance.
I saw Prince three times in Barcelona , man when you hear the first beat of the drumm your body can't stop moving , dancing till the end.
Congratulations, good job nice reaction.
Keep on rocking
Greetings from Barcelona
Glad you enjoyed the video! Prince was such a good entertainer, I can’t imagine having gotten to see him live!
You have to check out the „Septimo 1999“ Show. Especially the song „Motherless Child„ always blows my head off. His vocals and guitar playing are so awesome….
Sounds awesome!
His guitar wasn’t his best though…
You could see he wasn’t practicing enough in 98-99…
Too many things going on
I am no guitar player, but for me it sounds great. And he holds everyone in the palm of his hands, the audience and the musicians, it is fantastic …
The outfit was Renaissance inspired
Straight 🔥 🔥
Liberace and Peter Pan on dope.
I was there… Mate of mine called me up early in the morning; “so-and-so got the flue or something, so I got this extra ticket, get your ass over here, you’re going to Prince!’. And i was ‘mkay…’, cause I wasn’t into prince all that much. Long story short: by the time Housequake kicked off and prince did that split I was delirious. The rest is history.
Haha 🤣 Love that! Thanks for sharing the memory and hanging out! Prince is and will always be, mindblowing!
Venus demilo is a piano piece that is beyond decription something not from this planet
Starfish & Coffee is a song from Sign O' The Times. You should familiarize yourself!
Thanks!
Thank you so much! Your generosity is so appreciated and really helps the channel!
'Starfish & Coffee' is a song in the double album 'Sign O'The Times' wich, in my opinion could be his best one. At least in my top 5.

I'm afraid I was one of the peeps with sparklers in there :) They distributed them in the bus from Holland (most peeps in there were Dutch, bussed in from Holland to populate this show. It was being televised , and I think Prince loved a Dutch crowd). Fun times!
🤣 the sparklers threw me off for sure!
This is outrageously great!
💯
The outfit is a homage to Mozart
my boi rest N peace H Budda Bullock
It was a concert in Germany with only a Dutch audience, because Prince had a bond with the Dutchies. But on this tour he forced people to sing along and praise the Lord with him...Now there's one thing Dutch people hate and that's forcing.... and especially religion. That's something you keep to yourself. You can still hear the anger whistles in the audience...but Prince handled it fantastic with a tease and his fabulous humor.
Gotcha!
Anger whistles? When?
Just whistles to me…
The audience wasn’t very respectful cheering the stupid football chant related “Holland!”
You keep that shite to yourself.
I guess the Dutch would never visit a Buddhist temple or any Christian cathedral or a Hindu temple or Shinto shrine etc
Probably whistle some football chants nobody cares 😂
I’ve attended shows in America Japan and all over Europe. The worst crowd? The Dutch 😂
I remember even in a sound check in 2004 in Rotterdam Prince was asking the people please not to smoke and they didn’t care. The smell of pot was all over the place and it was Prince the one that decided letting people in to be in the sound check. Then after the concert in the aftershow Prince was in a bad mood and everyone noticed. I wonder why
the song he played is called "Fathers Song"
It is not.
Songs played:
When 2 are in Love Intro.
Venus De Milo
Starfish & Coffee
Raspberry Beret
Condition of the Heart
Strange Relationship
When 2 are in Love Outro
@@positivityforever play it, Its Madhouse 8, track 3 ................
Killer!!
👏👏👏📽️
Liberace style
Prince’s best songs are not the “hits”. You really need to do more research and homework. Prince is simply a musical genius. The Mozart of our time.
You are absolutely right 💜
I’m sorry Quincy Jones. Prince was way more than just an “ok piano player”.
Quincy Jones was jealous of prince prince could do it all he produced all his own music played it wrote it danced it he was way more talented than any other musician 🎉💜
