- This soft easy roti recipe is a flop proof recipe courtesy of my late grandmother & my Thermomix just made it even better!
Soft Easy Roti Ingredients:
* 2 tablespoon butter or margarine
* 3 cups cake flour or all purpose flour
* ± 1 ½ cups boiling water
* ½ teaspoon salt
* 1 ½ tablespoons vegetable oil
Method in the Thermomix:
* Add the flour, salt, vegetable oil & butter to the Thermomix jug, secure the lid with the measuring cup & adjust the time to 30 seconds & the blade speed to 4. This will allow all the ingredients to blend together.
* Once done, add in the boiling water.
* Place the lid back on, swipe on the screen & select the dough function.
* Adjust the time to 1 minute & allow it to knead.
* You should have a super soft roti dough.
* Empty it onto a lightly floured surface.
* Divide the dough into equal portions, roll into balls & coat in some flour.
* Roll out each ball into a disk & then toast each one on a thava or pan until cooked on each side. (For more detailed steps you can find the recipe “soft easy rotis” on eatmeerecipes.co.za)
* After each one is toasted, place into a container & cover with a dish towel, this will ensure the rotis remain soft with the moisture from the steam.
* Enjoy as desired.

Amazing
Thank you ☺️
Wow. Im loving the thermomix. First pizza dough and now roti. I bet even bread or rolls would turn out perfect. Need to tag the hubby to get me one 🤣 i definitely wouldnt mind this kitchen gadget as a gift
Ooh it’s so perfect, I’m still experimenting lol but so far it has been a blessing in the kitchen. I struggle with pcos so I get tired very easily and this gadget has helped me so much, the cleanup is also a breeze because there’s an option to pre clean so when it comes to doughs and stuff that get sticky & messy, it will clean it up for you
Pre- clean sounds really good. Its always such a hassle to clean up after making the rotis cos the left over bits have dried up. Where did you buy your thava/pan from?
@@gervasemunien3218 it’s the Berlinger Haus crepe pan, got it from takealot, best pan I own lol
recipe please
