Made this today. Wasn't the first roti recipe I've tried but by far the best. If your here wondering about this recipe wonder no more this is it. This one is easy and soft and just lovely
Hi Denisiya. Thanks for this. With all the terrible unrest and no bread available this recipe is a blessing. Stay safe, Take care and God bless (I dunno why but watching the dough being kneeded was so relaxing)
Hi Ron, thank you so much, I actually had this ready to post & then the unrest happened...I did not want to post that week as I am also in KZN but then so many didn't have bread so I decided to publish it. I'm sure it helped many ❤️️
I come back to this video a couple times a month. I have tried other recipes and this is by far the best. Thank you so much. Quick, easy and always comes out soft.
Love this recipe. --- We have been making this practically every week since I discovered your video about a month ago. My grandmother from South Africa used to make another type of roti made from corn flour. If you know that recipe, it would be great if you could post a video on that. Is it the same recipe but replaces all-purpose flour with corn flour? By the way, thank you so much for creating this RUclips channel. South African Indian food is a cuisine of its own and your channel is a valuable resource.
Aw man this comment has made my day ❤️ I really appreciate that you took the time to try it out and I’m happy to hear that you’re enjoying it 🤗 I’m not sure about the corn flour roti but let me ask my mum about it, perhaps she will know. If I do find what your grandmother made with cornflour I will definitely give you a shout and maybe try to do a recipe for that as well.
@@resillagovender6363 I didn’t roll all, I only rolled two for demonstration as other followers wanted more detailed videos, some are beginners and prefer the boring parts 👍🏼 you can always go to my instagram or TikTok for 1 minute videos or just forward the boring parts
You made this look so easy👏👏👏 I didn't see you use any melted butter afterwards but this means it's obviously healthier too, thanks so much I'm gonna make this today 😊🌸
Thank you so much for this in detail recipe and method. If using a non stick pan on stove top to cook the roti, what temperature should we use? Thanks once again. Still loving your channel. Great work.
Thank you, well done to you for giving it a try, let me know how it goes. I don't add anything to the pan, I also don't brush the rotis with anything as this tends to harden them.
I don't like making rootis because I learned the long way tried your one and my kids loved it so much that i made again. It's easy and very nice and save time in Ramadan. Thank you 😊
Hi the wax paper goes into the container that you are going to put the rotis into after they are toasted. It just stops the container from becoming wet from the moisture. So lay a sheet of wax paper into a container, toast each roti and place over each other in the container. Cover with a dish towel as well so they stay soft
Hi nope, once the dough comes together after kneading you can separate into pieces, roll out & toast. You can cover the rolled out ones with a dish towel whilst you toast to prevent it from drying
Hi, can someone help me out .I made the roti as per above , well I hope so .......but it taste sour after I made it. Any reasons as to why it Taste sour?

Thank you 😊 I don’t use melted butter because I find it leaves the rotis hard - yes indeed healthier too
Yes indeed mine also gets like a crunch texture so I stopped making, and here I was thinking I did something wrong😅
Thanks for this yummy, easy recipe. My family enjoys it.

Hi I’ve never used a mixer for the roti dough but you can try it out, just keep the dough warm, it shouldn’t get too cold when rolling out

I don't recommend it, rotis eaten fresh are the best. The dough will dry out and it will be a waste of time.

There is no doubt the turnout will be awesome amazing etc. The amount of butter and then oil, how good will all this be from health point of view
Any bread isn’t healthy so having them in moderation is key - these ingredients and amounts work best for rotis.

i tried this recipe and it tastes amazingg, but I'm not sure why the dough didnt come out soft enough. did you use cake flour or all purpose?
@@kaaajol hi, I used cake flour, did you use boiling water?
@eatmeerecipes I did, maybe the dough got cold quick because of the AC 😂💔
