Your video worked perfectly with my JDS-040 replacement, but it was a bit different for the JDS-030. For the 030, the blue part of the ribbon that connects to the main body of the controller (near the battery) needed to be flipped to face OUTWARD instead of inward. I’m not sure if this is the case for all 030’s or if mine was just special.
I thought the battery was dead because it was not charging. I’m glad it was an easy fix to just flip the cable 😂 6:20

I've got 2 controllers I just got that haven't charged and don't work when plugged in to the system with a known working usb cord.
