Thanks for posting great vid! I helped me a lot.
Thanks for the great & very helpful video
I've been really looking forward to this game. Thanks for your work on how to play it.
Thank you for this. One small note, when bidding a deployed military for an unsettled issue it counts as 2 for the bid but if it's the winning bid it only decreases happiness by 1 since it's only a single piece. This was confirmed by Geoff Engelstein on the game's BGG forum.
Yes, that's true. I thought it is quite obvious from the rules that the happiness has to be decreased by 2, but I was wrong.
This was great. I'm likely playing this game this coming weekend, along with other people who haven't played it. I'm sure to forget things, but I'll make sure to watch this video a couple more times, along with reading the instruction booklet. Wonderful, wonderful summary of how to play!
Thank you very much, Richard, that's very nice to hear. :)
Excellent presentation - the most straightforward and organized of any that I have watched on uTube! Thanks for making it easy! What I mean is that i've never seen a better introduction video for ANY OTHER game.
Thank you so much. ☺️
Thankyou for a very informative and helpful tutorial for a game I'm about to start playing.
Awesome video! I am receiving the game today and will try my utmost to get it to the table. I'll be watching this video many times because you are amazing at explaining. Thank you.
Thank you so much. ☺️
One of the best "how to play" videos I've ever seen. Thank you very much!
Thank you. ☺️
Thank you!! I just finished my first game and it's a great game. Without your instructional video I never would have understood the rules in the rule book. Thanks!
I'm happy to hear it helped. ☺️
Thank you. Very good explanation of the rules. It will save a lot of time today when we play later.
Really clear explanation of the rules. Thanks for posting!
Great video. It was clear and thorough. Thank you!
really looking forward for the solo video!
thank you so much this video is amazing
Very useful video, watched before play at CSWE.
Best! Need Nevsky rules pls!
Thanks! :)
Unfortunately, I don't have the Nevsky game.
Excellent video
Thank you very much!
Great video, Thank you! I hope you return to the game and do a solo rules walkthrough.
Thank you. Well, I'm sorry, but unfortunately I don't have a capacity for that.
Skvělé video, ostatně jako vždy :-) Bude i návod na sólo hru, o němž je zmínka na začátku videa?
Ďakujem. :) Asi nebude, kapacitne to už žiaľ nestíham.
Great!! Thank you. Hope you would do more wargames.
Thank you! 😊
Well, creating a tutorial for a war games takes many-many-many more hours than the "standard" medium weight game. I did the tutorial for Falling Sky (actually only in Slovak language) and it took me so much time that I would do 3 or 4 other tutorials in the same time. If I would be able to do these tutorials full time there would be more war game tutorials, definitely.
Therefore I'm just launching a Patreon page, and we'll see if it goes well enough to make me quit my current full time job and switch to tutorials. 😄
Please do a video for Yedo Deluxe game if you have access to it. Im having a hard time with the rulebook. Your videos are the best.
Well, I didn't back the game but I just did Tekhenu tutorial (from the same publisher) so I can ask them if they can provide a review copy.
I for the life of me don't understand this game. Quick example, in the playbook, it talks about deciding how an event is resolved but i don't see any options regarding how an event is settled on the cards, I.E: mahatma gandhi, at the top it says uprising check,if no issue unsettled add 1 unrest, on the bottom of the card it says...."if no self determination strategy tokens on middle east issues, uprising check in the middle east" How is that options? it just tells you what to do. Makes no sense and so much of the rules really don't, so much left unsaid IMO.This game is quickly turning into a waste of money. I don't see how I would learn this from the rule/play book.
There are two "sorts" of rulebooks I consider the worst rulebooks for learning the game. One of them are GMT rulebooks, the other ones are Phil Eklund rulebooks. 😊 I hope this video helped a little. If not, I'm sorry I can't explain it better. 🙂
@@nithrania-gameinanutshell Yeah, I have recently gotten twilight struggle also and it's the same problem, gmt games seem so good but learning them from their rulebooks has proven too much for me. This video helped for sure but still not sure I am ever going to really fully get it, it's tough. It's too bad, they look to be so much fun if you understand it.
@@nithrania-gameinanutshell 2nd watching of this video and I am starting to really get it now on 2nd viewing, great video, thanks so very much. It takes some time for me to get this stuff down but it's happening. Best teach video of this game available.
@@briancampbell6038 Thank you very much Brian. :) Happy to see it finally helps!
@@nithrania-gameinanutshell Hi nithrania, just a couple more questions.1. When an uprising check happens and two nations have a military in the same region deployed where both can have the option of adding or subtracting to the dice roll, what happens if on one players roll he subtracts and no uprising happens but in the other players roll an uprising does happen on his roll where he has added to the die roll? does an uprising happen or not with the conflicting results? 2. when it comes to scoring on the strategy cards, what does the unrest icon>4 mean and what does the unrest icon
