This is a tremendously good explanation. The designer is awesome! I had an aonline demo of Vijanagara with him at histcon last year. The game istantly jumped from my 'unknown' to my 'top expected' game list. I'm really looking forward for this one.
Looks really interesting. Like COIN but definitely with a number of different twists. I’m particularly intrigued by how the rebellion mechanism works as timing is probably quite important.
The same Map, same general rule and counters but set in the time of Alexander the Great or the East India Company would work better for me. There'd be History I was Familiar with to tack it onto. That said I've heard of the Mongols.
I don't know. That's part of the fun right? Learning about a new time period. Everybody knows about Tamerlane and Babur but not so much about what else was going on in the south. This game can kind of help paint that picture.
Tamerlane is in the game, he is actually the "endgame trigger". The 1398 Sack of Delhi (which the Sultanate of Delhi can avoid, in the game) is the last battle of the game before victory is calculated. @@MichaelCorryFilms
As an Indian I am very happy with the theme, its my first time exploring this type of game. My game will be arriving next week and looking forward to checking it out.

Looks fantastic, I love the off beat games. I shall be getting this.
Played three times the finished game now. It’s absolutely superb. Congrats to the designers for making an amazing game

I played this in an online tournament that they set uo a while ago. Can't wait to get my hands on the physical copy.
