Epic video, I love seeing how the Jaguars went from one of the most dominate defenses, to one of the worst. As an eagles fan, I would love to see a timeline of our super bowl run. There’s not a whole lot left from that roster
There's a lot of stuff people dont realize was happening behind the scenes with the Jaguars. Tom Coughlin with his stuck in the past, you have to listen to me attitude. Lots of fines throughout his second tenure. After the Sacksonville run, they lost the heart and unspoken leader of the defense in Paul Pozluzny retiring. Several players went astray off and on the field the following year. Tj Yeldon and Fournette both had major issues at the end of that season due to disgruntled feelings towards Coughlin. Telvin Smith abruptly retired and then was arrested for lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor around 2020. The management was one the major issues with the collapse but other factors were just as important. Good video though, getting a solid depth and understanding of what happened without diving too deeply into it.
ur making it sound so bad. Jax were fine. They hired an awesome college coach and he got Trevor Lawrence. It's one of the best NFL teams now but it was all due to the owner

Being a jags fan is tough man 😞 at least if the team we put together this year ends up being good, most of our players will be around a long time , we’re in good hands with Doug P and Trevor
Bro it was kinda sad to see how fast the jags fell apart after 2017, lotta bad decisions as an organization. As always, another dub of a video, and thanks for the entertainment.
In 2017/2018 season during the playoff game against the Patriots. Myles Jack wasn’t down. That should have been a fumble return for a touchdown. Hopefully my Jags will get a decent season this year and Trevor grows into a really good quarterback
@@williamgullett8071 That he still is, still gets angry when a WR beats him or when he screws up on a play If he’s as good as advertised he should be flawless and should’ve already had multiple rings but it’s his mouth and ego that gets the best of him much like some of these fans on here
As a jags fan I’m still dissappinted we just gave away Myles jack like that we could’ve kept him if we didn’t give Kirk a big contract so I have high hopes for him
That year was the first year I started watching football. I’m now a life long jags fan because of that season! It’s been a miserable existence since then, but we’ve done some good things and have some good locked room guys in the organization
myles jack wasn't down!! as a jags fan the night we got robbed of a sb I cried my self to sleep and ate a pint of ice cream 😭 I loved this team man I was so excited for a possible sb especially since the first game I went to we lost like 30 to .... Trevor will bring one home tho
My guy you forgot to add the “myles jack wasn’t down!” play. Or even mention the ticket sales increase in 2017. To me it’s interesting how the fanbase packed it out in 2017 compared to the other seasons.
I do remember being a HUGE Jacksonville Jaguars... and those uniforms from back then were so fucking sweet.... they need to bring those back, but, nevertheless, that was a fun year to watch them in...... but honestly, those decisions tore that team apart, and that GM that traded away all of that talent, what a complete waste of salary cap and money which apparently the Shadid Khan thinks grows on trees...
Hey did you ever do the video for Steelers after Big Ben decline and what was behind it. To honor his recent retirement. And the life of Dwayne Haskins. R.I.P
@@JustFootball cool can you do one on the St.Louis Rams Drought. On how Warner lost his job to Bulger and on how Mike Martz couldnt make it click and how it would've worked surrounding certain different pieces around Steven Jackson. Their head coaching from Martz to Linehan to Spags to Fisher and finally making the move back to LA and finishing it there. With the McVay Hire...because we all know how thats going. And then let the credits roll lol
That game against the 49ers was the moment their fate was sealed. The first time that Sacksonville got really embarrassed (and admittedly, it was a bad team on paper that was doing it to them), they immediately turned on each other and that rift in the locker room never recovered. I remember watching the AFC Championship and seeing them fighting on the sideline while they were still up 10 and thinking "Yeah, they're screwed." Even so, I don't think any of us saw this team completely imploding in the space of one year... Hilariously tragic.
As a titans fan I love it. They had a good defense but it forced so many turnovers that it would be impossible to replicate again so they were bound to come back to earth eventually
as a jags fan this makes me sad i remember watching the patriots game vs us in afc like it was yesterday mostly because of the bad calls such as the myles jack not a fumble call bruh.
Tom Coughlin was the main reason why Sacksonville is no more. His final say on football matters led to multiple bad decisions. Resigning Bortles instead of drafting a new QB (Lamar Jackson). Resigning Marquise Lee instead of Allen Robinson at WR. Making Ramsey and Ngakoue frustrated by not giving them extensions. And overpaying for Nick Foles when he never won a game as a starter for the Jaguars. Then came the letter the NFLPA put out about how the Jaguars treated their players that got Coughlin canned. Other situations that led to their downfall: Paul Posluzny retiring after when he was the captain of the defense. Releasing Marcedes Lewis when he was the longtime leader of the offense. And Telvin Smith retiring to “get his world together.” Seemed noble at first, then came the charge that practically made any return go out the window.
One of the best Defense I have ever seen Click Clack ..Sideline to sideline .Ramsey was young and took half the field away .Smith fast as hell at lb. CC on the line was dominate
Bad play calling in the fourth quarter kept the Jags out of the Super Bowl. They ran the ball straight into the middle of the Patriots six times and wound up punting twice. Then Brady did his magic. I suspect that terrible offensive play calling must have been extremely disheartening for the Jaguars who worked so hard to get within a single quarter of the Super Bowl. Previously, the Patriots defense had been kept off balance by Jacksonville’s perfect balance of run to pass play calls. Then they scratched what had worked so well for them in favor of being pathetically predictable.
Are the Jaguars the worst team at managing cap space?
Probably
Christian Kirk
yes. I think if they had drafted watson they could have beat the patriots and hosted the super bowl they are the worst team probably ever
They have the worst record of the 2021-22 NFL season at least but thurst me the Houston Texans are way worst
I don’t know being a bears fan it’s been tough to watch recently
