Eh. They'd have ran it if they didn't waste time. They were banking on NE calling a timeout, and then attempting to run it in. With BB not calling it, it put them in a really tough bind, where if they ran it, and didn't make it, they'd have to hustle for 1 more run attempt. It's why they said they wanted to throw it first. If it doesn't work, they'll still be able to attempt to run it twice because of the stopped clock. What people NEVER talk about is the fact that the receiver ran his route lazily and sloppy. If you watch the tapes from when they run it before, he normally runs it faster and more clean. Had he ran it how he normally did, Butler at BEST breaks up the catch, but that's it. He wouldn't have been able to get in front of him for the catch.
Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor, Earl Thomas III, Bobby Wagner, Cliff Avril, Michael Bennett, Brandon Browner, K.J. Wright, and Bruce Irvin all on the same defense

I can't stand the New England Patriots but seeing the look on Richard Sherman's face when Malcolm Butler picked off Russell Wilson to end the super bowl that was priceless
The high ego of Pete Carroll causing distrust amongst the rest of the players because he wanted Wilson to get all the glory will go down as one of the most “it’s about me” more than “for the team”moments in sports history.
Another monster Giants defense that prob should’ve been listed was the nascar front. Like 6 or 7 guys who would’ve been Number 1 pass rushers on a lot of teams
Fun fact in the clip at 0:41 Roddy actually just torched Sherman for a bomb TD in a playoff game. It was hype and Sherman's clapping and shrugging it off while down 19-0 looked weak. I bring this up because it is the ONLY time I can remember a receiver not only beating Sherman on the field but in the 'coolness' shit-talk battle as well. CRABTREEEEE!!!!!! ngl when I heard you say the Richard Sherman quote it didn't feel right without the energy.
The mascot celebration at 825 funny as hell idk why lol
Great vid
Man I needed this
i was never even a Seahawks fan but around 2012 and position after position they kept finding players that I loved and their 2014-2015 squad might be my second favorite squad behind 2002-2003 Raiders so I started paying closer attention to them and they became like my 3rd favorite NFL team(after the Raiders and Ravens) and I think that incredibly dumb play at the end of super bowl 49(still imo the greatest super bowl of all time) was what spelled the beginning of the end...had they only chose to run it instead Seattle couldve really been a dynasty but that one play destroyed it all, I don't think there's many moments in sports history that simultaneously has been one of the worst decisions and had as much tied to it...Seattle i know felt like it was over, like they did it for a second year in a row but when u make it to that level of play one thing u absolutely should never do is Underestimate Your Opponent.. ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS A TEAM LIKE THE PATRIOTS, NO QUESTION THE BEST NFL TEAM SINCE THE TURN OF THE MILLENNIUM AND IM NOT EVEN A PATRIOT FAN BUT THERES NO WAY I COULDNT RESPECT THEM...WTF WAS PETE CARROLL THINKING?
The Legion of Boom was much more than the secondary. The D-Line and LBs were nasty too.
If Russell didn’t ask for too much money, maybe they could’ve kept move of these guys.
It was an exciting couple of years for sure.
I wish we could relive the legion of boom it's good times and a moment to enjoy watching
I LOVE seeing Sherman react to the pick in the superbowl LOVE IT
Kam's injury was the starting crack.
So beautiful i got to witness all of these members of the lob in the prime
Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor, Earl Thomas III, Bobby Wagner, Cliff Avril, Michael Bennett, Brandon Browner, K.J. Wright, and Bruce Irvin all on the same defense
After all these years I can only remember Sherman's trash talk on Brady and his iconic facial expression meme from SB 49.
5:39 Marshawn fumbled because one of the defenders was going for the wrong ball
😂
I am glad I could witness them
People say Sherman’s post game interview makes him arrogant of confident
But no it makes him CHAD
Ever since they lost the Super Bowl against the pats they could never recover
Do the 49ers defense Willis bowman smiths
The 2000 Ravens didn't need a name. They just showed up, stopped offenses dead in their tracks and left.
How come the New York sack exchange isn’t an “unforgettable defense.” HOW!!!!!
0:38 nightmare for teams who played them for a decade. Ladies and gentlemen the Atlanta falcons pick Julio Jones, Julio Jones rookie season game with the legion of boom, few seasons later legion of boom face with the falcons, Julio Jones be like: guess whoo
It’s mind blowing how the Seahawks are remembered more not running it and blowing a Super Bowl lead instead of dominating a Super Bowl and most likely winning back to back Super Bowls had they called a different play.
I can't stand the New England Patriots but seeing the look on Richard Sherman's face when Malcolm Butler picked off Russell Wilson to end the super bowl that was priceless
Offense gets more attention, but those legendary defenses are just as exciting as the legendary offenses.
Set The Edge did this Video a Year ago give him his credit
The high ego of Pete Carroll causing distrust amongst the rest of the players because he wanted Wilson to get all the glory will go down as one of the most “it’s about me” more than “for the team”moments in sports history.
New England Patriots Tom Brady single handedly destroyed the LOB in the Super Bowl…Undeniable if you truly know football
It was close they took 2 picks off him but he threw 4 tds
He is the GOAT so why are you acting like its a suprise? and your also acting like it was a blow out....
Man i miss my boys on defense...
Another monster Giants defense that prob should’ve been listed was the nascar front. Like 6 or 7 guys who would’ve been Number 1 pass rushers on a lot of teams
Holding out on the first year of your deal is wild
Fun fact in the clip at 0:41 Roddy actually just torched Sherman for a bomb TD in a playoff game. It was hype and Sherman's clapping and shrugging it off while down 19-0 looked weak.
I bring this up because it is the ONLY time I can remember a receiver not only beating Sherman on the field but in the 'coolness' shit-talk battle as well.
CRABTREEEEE!!!!!! DONT YOU EVER TALK ABOUT ME
Who is Crabree?🤔
7:08 Crabree really was a sorry receiver I never even heard of him
Love how Brady going 13-15,125yds,2tds trailing 24-14 with 9min left in 4th for biggest 4th quarter comeback in Sb history was not mentioned
4:33 their hairlines are further back then their age
Am I the only one to never have heard of the monsters of the Midwest???
Seahawks wining the super Bowl next year
Given the NFL rules in 2013, this is easily the best NFL defense ever.
10:09 Sherman look like Spencer from All-American.
A prime Jerry Rice would have schooled any of them. It's just hasn't been the same since he retired. The 49ers and Seahawks IMO have had the best two to ever play receiver in Rice and Largent.
