He was such a violent hitter, that it took a toll on his body. One of the greatest safeties of his generation
He was my favorite saftey then he was just gone
yea kinda like bob sanders
I was going go say he retired while his body was still in tact.
@@mrmoopster5702 lol not even close did Bob even play a full season ever he was literally a every other year injured reserve kinda guy
@@juniorlovell2833 you're proving my point lol bob was a big hitter and at his size, it took a toll on his body like kam. So, he was forced to retire bc of his injuries.
As a seattle native and a seahawks fan, Its hard to describe how important Kam Chancellor is to us. We had Marshawn Lynch as the soul of the offense, and Kam Chancellor as the soul of the defense.
My 2 favorite players of all time
Amen brother
QFT
Seahawks should have ran their soul of the offense in the superbowl
As a native myself seeing him go would probably be right up there with russ if seattle makes the dumbest decision in franchise history and trades russ..but other than wilson , I've never seen someone impact the game like kam did. ... bambam will always be remembered as a legend
He got his money, he got his ring, he helped the LOB etch themselves into the history books. Enough said.
Bout we could’ve went back to back😩😩😩
Anthony C ok
Agreed, he’s legendary
Anthony C shut up
HOF player in my opinion, and I'm a 49er fan.
Kam didnt need to talk much, he let the bruises you felt the next morning do the talking. Dude was a monster
😂 lol
I will never forget that hit on vernon davis in mid air
Forreal, Kam was a force out there. Dude would put big hits on *anyone*
Imagine dreaming of playing in the NFL as a receiver. First time you go on the field the coach tells you to run shallow post and you have a 6'4 220 Pound safety coming to take your head off
right lol...
Id quit on the spot haha
230 lmao
Uh yeah there was a guy by the name of Sean Taylor who put WR's through that from 2004-2007... But you were saying!?? 🤣
@@TheAlmightyClipse what were you trying to accomplish with that
Finally Kam getting the respect that he deserves! Good Job flemlo 👊🏽

@Red Racer13 facts he was just a monster!!
I've been waiting for this episode for FOREVER 😭
@@jseven5362 same here man our dream came true 😂😂
Kam Chancellor literally changed the course of Vernon Davis' career. He was never the same after Kam smacked him😂
Yup. He was a tight end's nightmare
Demaryius Thomas was also never the same after Kam dealt with him.
Thats tricky, I think Mike Singletary benching Davis for letting his ego get out of hand in that game played a part as well.
@@scarab2 that lit a fire under Vernon Davis and he took his game to the next level, and that was way before Kam brutalized Davis.
I think many people don't recognize that fact. I was always a Davis fan, despite hating the Niners, but when they played the Seahawks Vernon Davis was a completely different player. He wouldn't catch passes over the middle and looked scared out there. I'm not faulting the man, I would be too had I taken the hits that Chancellor levied on him. There were many other big hits Davis took from Chancellor outside the infamous one we've all seen.
Kam Chancellor, Earl Thomas, Richard Sherman, Brandon Browner, and Byron Maxwell (the often forgotten member of L.O.B). I don't think we'll ever see a group of DB's like this again. I'm so glad I got to see them play in person on several occasions.
Vikings looking scary👀
He's forgotten because he came to Philadelphia and forgot how to play cornerback
@@Joe-96X4E Philly definitely overpaid for him. Philly also got Walter Thurmond and converted him to Safety where he played pretty well actually. I always liked Thurmond, he just couldn't stay healthy, until he went to Philly of course.
@@slayermill8621 yea we were salty when he retired on us
@@Joe-96X4E I was sad to see Kam retire but I was happy he didn't push his luck and try a comeback that could've resulted in an even worse injury than the one that made him retire early. He walked away from the game with relatively good health and is out doing good things with his life. Kam has always been a stand up guy.
We miss the LOB in Seattle. I’ll never forget how the city felt during that Super Bowl win. THANK YOU LOB!!
I'm a patriots fan so thank you pete carrol!
@@coreyperdue1966 fight me
There's just something to defensive powered Super Bowl teams that resonates w a town more than an offense driven team for sure. It just hits different.
@Osamabinlaggin6n LOL seriously! 😂

Patriots have bandwagon fans, you’re either a chiefs of buccaneers fan now I bet
During the Seahawks training camp, I was more excited to get Kam Chancellor to sign my jersey than Russell Wilson.
I mean russ wasnt really the face of the franchise at the time that whole big three sherman Thomas and Kam where
Facts
Russ is going to the HOF
@@evanrodriguez7473 can't argue his HOF talent & heart, but that's a maybe. Russ definitely.
All of the Legion of Boom could go though
As you should’ve Defensive players are we love about the game
He's most definitely one of the greatest seahawks of all time,He's up their with guys like...Jim Zorn,Dave Krieg,Cortez Kennedy,Shaun Alexander,Steve Largent,Shawn Springs etc
Walter Jones, Steve Hutchinson, Russell okung
I worked at the venue that held Trufant's charity bowling event. Kam was so quiet and polite. Just a tall fly on the wall. Not screaming for attention like other players there. It was hard to imagine it was his first year of retirement after destroying everyone in the NFL
I clicked so fast. He's one of my favorite Seahawks ever, we love him here in the emerald city.
my favorite safety of all time , def a HOF idc what y’all say 🙅🏾
Definitely my favorite safety ever because I actually got to watch him play
@@emiliob12 same and imma panthers fan too bro , we had some good battles with the LOB throughout the 2010’s

@@NTBBlitz yep and I always respected his game and looked forward to playing him even though we lost to Kam in the playoffs 😂
He’s not but...
"If you're a receiver, go ahead and alligator-arm that thing bruh. It's not even worth it. I'm not even gonna judge you".
Made me literally lol.
With a man like Kam hitting like a freight train, yeah that's exactly what I'm doing 🤣😂.
Man I've been a seahawks for years and he's so underrated especially by those who aren't hawk fans. So sucks that his career got cut short
I knew he wouldn't last. What a star.
@@wesleytakahashi5334 what a dumb statement
Kam Chancellor could've still been playing with the seahawks if he wouldn't have got injured he was a good player
I'm not a hawks fan but kam is the only reason I made it a point to watch them when I could. Marshawn was fun too but kam is why I watched. One of my favorite players when he played and one of my all time favorite safeties.
Dude was a freak of nature... played like a defensive end, covered like a corner, hit like a linebacker at safety!!! Miss watching him 💯💯💯
Well said,
Enjoyed the LOB, and, dude, i always thought he was a linebacker.
One of the hardest hitting players of all time, knew all aspects of the game, definitely a game changer
What an inspirational guy. He constantly made choices to benefit the “team”, his familycommunityteam, when he could have taken an easier road.
Not even close
@@Ainsi110 yeah lmao he as big of a hitter as Lott you can’t tell exactly but from highlights he lays people out more often than Atwater or lynch or lott
One of the hardest hitters in the 2010s. In the 2000s, Chancellor hits were average, and typical for safeties.
I got to meet Kam a few months after we won the superbowl. He was the nicest dude I have ever met!
I miss watching him play! He made every game so fun to watch. I wish him a great life and he will always be BamBam Kam! He is forever a SeaHawk!!!!!!!
Kam was a different beast entirely. Reminded me so much of Ronnie Lott and Ed Reed, a hard-hitting safety built like a linebacker.
Kenny Easley. Both looked like grown men in a peewee league.
Subscribe to my channel.
I don't see the Reed comparison as Reed was a solid tackling ballhawk with speed but he did hit similar to Lott
Reminds me of Steve Atwater
As a seahawks fan. Just wanna say thank you to Cam & Marshan. They gave us the opportunity to be proud of the team. So again thanks guys
God, I'd love a Marshawn video. I only just got into football last year and Flemlo has been educating me on decades of players I would have never known about but the one I want a video on the most is Marshawn. Okay and maybe Tampa Bay's Mike Evans, and Falcons Julio Jones.
@@SkittleBurstsxoxo well there’s no “what happened to” for mike and julio bc they’re still in the league
@@reallyjusthimtbh I know :) And hopefully, that stays true for a while longer. But he's done videos on players still in the league. Although I suppose that's not really a good thing since it generally involves controversial players.
Man I was excited to see our defense back then. It was by far the best we've been in a long time. Wagner, Thomas, Sherman, an then you add bam-bam. Who was leaving on a stretcher this weekend. Funny to watch a receiver intentionally not catch it to avoid the hit that was coming anyway.
I wasn't even a Seattle fan but was a Seattle defense fan lol if that makes sense. Same with Pittsburgh and Chicago back in the day.
Just as Kam, I grew up in Park Place (Norfolk Virginia). At times, we were considered poor, and dirty, just like coals my little sister found and tried to sell on the corner 😂! But, with all the struggles, and the pressures of life in a community such as Park Place,, it truly builds character! Kam is one of the many diamonds that were formed and have come out of park place! 757 stand up!!!!
Park Place 💪🏾
One of the great underrated players ever
How was he under-rated? He was considered one of the 5-6 most important players in the league for 5-6 years. He'll end up on the list of top 2-3 at his position of all time. IMO, he was better than even Ronnie Lott. Guy who finishes top 2-3 at his position can't be under-rated! Everyone knew his name!
Kam still lives here in Seattle every time I see him I always tell him if he's coming back and he just smiles. He's really the nicest guy but plays like a savage he was my favorite Seahawk
That's the crazy thing about Kam is that on the field he was terrifying and off the field he just comes across as the most gentle, kind person you could possibly meet.
He goes biking with other former Seahawks defenders, it’s very cute
Where can you see him ?
@@marianorivera6632 most current and some former hawks player live on the east side of Seattle. Maple Valley, Bellevue, and Renton

Kam
Man...I miss that guy. Criminally underrated football player, sure. In Washington though, he was and is always just a shining example of being the most amazing human being. Like when he got hurt, I don’t know a single person that cared about the game at that point. We just wanted Kam and Sherm to be all right. It felt like that was your family down there on the field. Thank you for making this video it hit hard.
Leaders always look out for others even if it means sacrificing their own needs for the greater good.

Didn't even have to watch the video to know the answer: Injuries. It's also the same answer for why the Seahawks "dynasty" didn't come to fruition and even why they didn't repeat as Champs. For all the talk about Wilson's interception, it's always been completely glossed over just how injury-riddled Seattle's defense was both before and during that '15 Super Bowl. Chancellor, Sherman and Thomas all had severe injuries that most players would not have even taken the field with. Then they lost Lane and Avril during the game, the latter injury crippling Seattle's pass rush which allowed Brady to get back on track and slowly pick them apart. One more mostly healthy season was all Seattle's defense ever had again, which is basically Chancellor's story as well.
Most ya hear about him now is he occasionally helps with the team and mentors guys. But stays pretty active in his community
Lane getting hurt was a big blow. Lane was Seattle’s Nickelback and when he got hurt, Brady picked apart the other Nickleback all game.
They didn’t repeat as champs cause of that dumb ass call 💯
Bro they didn't repeat cause of that dum play call not because of the injuries, the game was really won by them until that dum play call
kam injured his neck pretty bad. honestly that's the best secondary i have ever seen in my life and I dare anyone to mention a better secondary....... I am waiting.
Yoo Kam was a straight DAWG 🔥
Flemlo is acting like a 10 mil sub channel. He is going to hit a mil by June. Good job man!
I’ll say this, I think there is a VERY good case of Kam being in the HoF.
Kam's a great dude. He held some really cool events in Norfolk and the whole LOB always showed up in support. Marshawn, too along with a bunch of other guys. All the events were free.
Hosted them at ODU. Kam’s a great dude
that's cool
He set the tone in that super bowl against Denver! Dude set the tone just about every game! Seattle was so lucky to have that man on their team! He will always be one of my all time favorites
I remember being 12-13 watching the LOB and obviously mesmerized by Sherman, Thomas, Browner, but there was always something about Kam that I loved. Physical defensive players like him have been and always with be my favorite players to watch.
As a packer fan I love watching this man play he’s one of my favorite defensive players
Kam was a BEAST. best strong safety in the league in the early 2010s. Kam caught my eye and ear at first just because he has a bad ass name.
I remember in his last game he stopped Adrian Peterson in the end zone for a safety. What a beast.
Kam Chancellor was an amazing leader. I loved watching the Legion of Boom play, it was a wolfpack on the field.
My goodness flemlo, what a great video.
It's been a joy watching you grow over these past 3-4 years
10 tackles with a torn MCL to put it out on the line for his team to compete speaks volumes
Kinda like Stafford finishing the game with a torn labrum or Lott having his finger amputated to finish the game 😉
@@juniorlovell2833 Lott cutting his finger off was crazy but I think mcl is worse since that’s ur whole movement

Great video bro! Thanks!
Kam always reminded me of a bigger Brian Dawkins. Both were the heart and soul of their defenses and tore the soul from offensive players with their hits.
Nah, not even close, Dawkins was versatile af, he could play DB and he was constantly on special teams. He was also a beast at INT returns. The only thing similar about them is their size and ability to hit. Cam was more like an extra large size Bob Sanders.
