I find it so funny how folks will treat and act like these human beings are just made up characters and will bash them anytime they don't play like they were suppose to. Not just being disappointed but full on wishing them death and all that. It's so f***ing stupid and childish especially when half of these guys play in a free league that has nothing to give you whether you win or lose.

@@boogityhoo7452 a lot of it has to do with sports entertainment (not the wwe lol). Javale McGee pointed it out best when he called out the fact that his name and image were not controlled by himself. Sports caster and sport media personalities make money from controversy and hot takes, not reality of compassion. As such fans can be finessed both out of their money and their opinions. Put simply the narrative athletes have aren’t there’s and casuals tend to watch contrarians and provocateurs who tell them who the player is.

It's always funny when some clown that never even played the game calls somebody soft. I live in a small town in Georgia and we've got a guy here that was a stud at UGA and was a projected 2nd round pick. A couple days before the draft he called his agent and told him he wasn't gonna play anymore. A lot of people called the guy soft and talked shit about him. What they didn't know is that the guy had so many concussions that after his last college game he spent a week in the hospital and was completely blind for the first 2 days of that. He decided right before the draft that his health was more important than the money. I'm not really friends with him, I just see him around occasionally and we have mutual friends. I've always respected him for having the balls to walk away from millions of dollars and live a normal life.

His toughness and dedication are an inspiration. Thanks for telling his story. I hope that he is able to handle his health issues and that he is able to live a long life with the best quality of life possible with his family.
It’s a shame he isn’t just drafted this year - with the way things are now he may have had a different career with the awareness of concussions we have these days and maybe wouldn’t have had to feel he had to try to show/prove how tough he is.

Honestly the players pretty much all knew how dangerous getting multiple concussions is to you. Just because the NFL and other higher powers weren't talking about the full truth doesnt mean that the players weren't hearing what the possibilities could be as you get older. Most guys either dont care and think it won't happen to them or they are such a team player that they are willing to do whatever it takes to prove they can handle everything and they are the toughest on the field. It's a sad reality though.

The more we find out about concussions, the more I'm amazed he was able to play as much as he was. Dude was soldier and I hope he's able to live comfortably and happily.

Jordan Reed is a true warrior of the gridiron. After watching this video he has my respect. I hope he can recover from the symptoms he suffers from. Hopefully they will come up with a cure for his ailments. I would hate to see him do something like what Junior Seau did. Good luck Jordan in your post career life in all that you do.

Man.. I only played high school, had 7 concussions from 5th grade to senior year.. was diagnosed with depression and anxiety in my 20s, as well as PTSD. Some psychologists I’ve seen have suggested a link between concussions and my mental health. I am proud to admit that through faith, medication, therapy, and a big support from my wife I’m working full time, being a father of 2.. there is light at the end of the tunnel for anyone going through it 💯💯💯. I have my bad days, but I know they’re temporary..

Honestly he’s a pretty rare athlete but as a Niners fan I found him to be quite cancerous even in his 1 short stint with us. He couldn’t hide his disdain for the QBs, would frequently rage on the sideline or throw his hands up in the air on the field when he wouldn’t get the ball. His effort was in question since the first offseason with us. Just wasn’t a good fit for our culture. But credit to his game, he runs very smooth routes and is good after the catch, just could never stay healthy.
