One of the greatest defenses ever in nfl history
no
@@knag2897Now you just hating lol
bru, the 85 bears???@@ryan_cl6459
@ryan_cl6459 Cuz, there's the 85 Bears who are #1. Then the 2000s Ravens who come in #2. 2013 Seahawks Defense can come at #3. 🤌
@@ghostx4747 Bears weren't the #1 defense 4 years in row, get educated
Doug Baldwin makes sideline catches look like poetry in motion just beautiful
Watching this video made me remember and audibly remark on just how good he was at that and made it look sooooo easy. It’s actually fucking beautiful to watch. I said that he HAS to be up there with some of the best toe tappers of all time such as AB, Julio Jones, Chad Johnson etc. In terms of pure toe tapping prowess, I’m putting him over AB man. I’m sure there’s other great toe tappers in eras I didn’t name but when it comes to those sideline catches, you can really only rate what you watch live since theyre so rare to see and players who can do it in heat of a tense game are just different breeds of football players.
And don’t even get me started on how every starter on this defense was a notable big name player who either were or have been good on other teams….
He was nasty!
These catches are absolute insanity
Incredible how well he controls his body when he has to fall to the ground. He knows how to fall and not get hurt. Looks like a ballet dancer.
He's pedestrian tho haha
Even as a niner fan, I'll happily tip my cap. This defense was insane.
The attitudes were wild on this team. Once in a generation type of roster
Aye respect from SEA
As a fellow Niner fan I agree. This defense was crazy
Seattle Respect 🫡
Respect. This defense was built to beat your niners during the Harbaugh Era. That niner defense was insane too
Of course this is mainly about the defense but Doug Baldwin was one of the most underrated receivers in recent memory. Whenever Wilson needed to make a play he was there
There's no team I would ever build and not include him.
Jermaine Kerse
@@2UGamingProductions Always made a huge catch. Sucks, OBVIOUSLY, that we lost SB 49 but part of what sucked was for Kearse. His late game acrobatic catch was EASILY one of the greatest catches in Super Bowl history. But noooooo, let's not give the ball to Marshawn at the goal line.
@mneugent7658 vs 49er too. He had the clutch gene
@@2UGamingProductions Packers in the NFC Championship game... always great.
The Seahawks were so close to becoming a dynasty! What a team they had
Brady is a bona fide dynasty killer.
all they had to do was give beadt mode the ball
Had they gave the ball to lynch at the 1. They go back-to-back and defense stays intact.
@@peff92 It was actually Malcolm Butler bud
@@BohotTheRobotDid Malcolm Butler complete 14 of 18 passes and 2 TDs to close out the L.O.B.????
The D-line was so underrated, just watching the opposing offensive line get demolished every single play by the entire Dline depth chart was insane.
Sherm dancing with the cheerleaders will never get old 😂
That WR core was sick
Baldwin, Rice, Kearse, Tate, and Percy Harvin?!?!? Stacked!
Now we can say it, but in that time, this was a very underrated WR group, outside of Harvin and Rice...
@@johnraven2429 Balwin was the best WR there put some respect on him
@@MaadhatsOnTwitch I think he knows that about Baldwin. He's saying they were underrated and deserved more respect at the time.
I remember all the pundits saying this was the weakest part of the team this year
Can’t forget Ricardo Lockett he was a beast
I’m just amazed at Marshawns ability to bounce off tackles an stay up. His footwork is absolutely insane as well
Love him or hate him, Sherman had one of the most legendary personalities in the NFL.
Man can’t believe it’s been 10 years since this season, seems like it was just the other day. This team was seriously incredible, best team I have watched in my life
Ikr and I'ma Seahawks fan
Too bad chargers exist
This gonna be fire

Yep. Seahawks secondary was 🔥
Then Russel Wilson's interception at the end of SB49 was the 💧to put it out.
@@cmbotch5739so ridiculous 😢
@@cmbotch5739legit why would you throw the ball with beast mode in the backfield and I mean I don’t like the pats or the Seahawks they came back and beat my beloved packers in the championship game. I remember I rooted for New England because of that😂 but really man looking back Seattle DEFINITELY should have won that game
And is on period
Seahawks v Niners were some of the most memorable football games I’ve ever watched. All bangers 🔥
Even now
So true!
That rivalry got me into watching football
the bitter rivalry with crabtree and Sherman when he called him a sorry receiver 🔥🔥🔥🔥
As a Hawks fan absolutely agree. Those Niners teams were also absolutely stacked. Especially on D. Willis and Bowman were a force of nature at LB. History won't remember them for how good they truly were because the LOB was historic. But Seahawks fans remember how good and how fun those Niners teams were to play against.
Chancellor might be the most underrated player of his era
Celebrating 10 years of the Legion of Boom and Seattle’s first ever Super Bowl winning season! The secondary led by Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor was strong enough to take down Peyton Manning’s Broncos who had a record setting season of averaging 37.9 points per game!
Earl thomas led that secondary but we get the point
Wow, 10 years! I remember this era so vividly.
@@KeiKeiPas a Richard Sherman fan, facts
PED NATION PERIOD LEGION MEANS PACK OF DEMONS YEAH YEAH I KNOW CHEATING ASS SEATTLE SEAHAWKS AND THE FANS CONDONE IT I KNOW I LIVE HERE IN THE NORTHWEST
Not only take them down, made them look pathetic in that super bowl
One of the best defenses in NFL history.
Oh man do I love this period of the NFL. I'm a Bears fan, but I will always be nostalgic for the Legion of Boom. With that beast defense and Lynch running on offense, the Seahawks were must-watch football for like three years straight.
As a seahawks fan 2013 was magical it truly did feel like we would be competing in superbowls and nfc championship games for 3 to 5 possibly. Also are rivalry with the 49ers was unmatched during 2012 and 2013.
@_SayaNara Broncos had a fringe top 10 greatest defense ever, they are definitely not a top 5 all-time defense.
@@_SayaNaraThe No Fly Zone was great but not even close to the greatest defense of all time. I’d say it was too 10, but LOB was better for sure
@@_SayaNaralol the broncos may have been pretty good, but Seattle was Greatest of All time. Silly to even compare the two teams honestly.
We definitely couldve if the legion of boom didnt deal with injuries
@@JackRabbit5402Every team deals with injuries
My favorite season that wasn't from my favorite team. The definition of "Must See".
Arguably the best defense, and one of the best teams, OF ALL TIME!
I am old enough to remember the 85 Bears who won the Super Bowl that year. That was the best defense of all time.
@@michaelford404the Big Blue Wrecking Crew, 86 Giants always get left out along with the Steel Curtain and Purple People eaters. It’s hard to compare eras though
I don't know what you're smoking, but you might wanna share! LOL!
Better defenses than Seattle in 2013...
83' 49ers
85' Bears
00' Ravens
Matter of fact, there are a sh** ton more teams who allowed fewer points over the course of a season than what Seattle allowed in 2013! Stop being a HOMER FFS!
@@itzanopinionBucs had a NASTY SB defense with Sapp too....'85 Bears is #1
@@itzanopinion Seattle did it in an era where teams were scoring way more points. + they held the best offence of all time to 8 points
I was stationed at Fort Lewis during the whole LOB era and it was an honor to watch that defense play & the stadium was always so loud I miss these days
I was stationed at Lewis from 06-11. I met my wife a Federal Way girl. She had season tickets when we met. I was at every home game unless I was in Yakistan.
I still live here lol!
Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor, Cliff Avril and that whole LOD defense was the lynchpin of the championship season
No Earl Thomas mention?
Beast mode is definitely my all time favorite RB. Hands down, dude was unstoppable! Crazy balance
Die hard long suffering hawks fan here. This team brought me and a whole lot of other people joy and excitement that we'd never experienced before. I will forever love this team!!!
I’m 24 years old and a die hard Green Bay fan. This might be the best nfl team I’ve ever had the pleasure of watching, I remember this season like it was yesterday
49ers fan. I HATED Seattle for the longest during this era but when the drama and disputes disbanded the team I was highkey hurt. I loved the matchups & they really had something special.
Also that NFC championship game is still a top 5 NFL game I ever watched
After their horrible loss in the Super Bowl the next year, the LOB ended
@@RB01.10 Not really. They still got to the playoffs and won big games, they just didn't have the coaches respect anymore. I knew when it was Seattle San Fran it was going to be San Fran, and then Richard stepped up and talked his talk after backing it up, I immediately loved them.
As easily as this team could have gone 16-0, it just as easily could have gone 10-6. So many close and chance plays it’s amazing. I’ll never forget this team or my Seahawks.
Squads can no longer go 16-0, it's a curse going into the playoffs 😈
@@GeoAce777well now a team can go 17-0 let's see if that ever happens
As a Seahawks fan this was the season I enjoyed watching the most!!
One of the best times of my life was watching this team during my senior year in college. Me and a couple of friends would get together to watch the big games tonight. Seeing the LOB dominate and electrifying was something special, always will love and cherish this team.
Same. Well said.
this was a truly magical season to watch, will never forget the memories with the Legion of Boom 💙💚
I always forget how frustrating that offense was. LOB was unreal - what a treat they were
Going against this defense was just scary 😭💯
The first time I saw LOB I couldn’t believe their size. 2 CB way over 6ft,a SS like a LB, and a ball hawking FS. It was amazing how Brady was able to bring NE back from a 10 point deficit in that SB .
They played injured that game
*Tharold Simon coughs*
The Patriots beat up the Seahawks from the jump. Seattle was only in the game due to a few big plays
@@PedroMartinez-tt7lr bruh shut up 😂 Seattle owned the game the whole time
@@bluejay420Lay off the weed, kid. It's makin' you dumb
New England dominated time of possession, Third Down, the line of scrimmage and most importantly - the scoreboard

Congrats Bluejay!!! 🤫🤣😭
This defense was incredible to watch in person. Go Hawks.
20:38 that was one of many days where I hated being a Giants fan 😂😭
Respect to this 2013 Seahawks squad🔥✊🏾
I’d argue this defense was the best defense ever. The 85 bears played in the day when the rules benefitted them. You didn’t come in the middle of the field. The 2013 Seahawks did this in the generation of the offense. The Broncos shattered every offensive stat that season. And the Seahawks defense kept this dominance for 3 years having a leagues best scoring defense for 3 straight years
Greatest defense ever assembled. Dominant from top to bottom. Goddamn tragedy that their prime was cut short by injuries.
As well as that INT
@ryanblanche1726 Nah.. the INT wouldn't have happened without the injuries that were already deep in effect. If Kam, Earl, and Sherm weren't ALL playing with debilitating injuries in that SB the Hawks win like 24-10 easy.
“He’s got followers, and not just on twitter!” 🔥
LOB and Marshawn. Absolutely incredible team. Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse underrated. Those linebackers could cover from scrimmage to end zone.
Miss this Seahawks Team. So legendary!
Man, the NFL was sooo good during these years.. Highly competitive on both sides of the ball.. didn't have to be afraid about getting flagged for hitting someone on defense.. I don't know what the NFL is now but it ain't the game I loved watching from early 2000's to about 2015..
That’s crazy that this was 10 years ago. Time flies!
The Legion of Boom is one of the most intimidating group in Seattle Seahawks. They should never be underestimated in that era.
Teams today WISH they can obtain and hold this kind of power 4 years in a row
This was my first season really getting into football. And this team was entertaining to watch. Can’t believe it’s been so long
NO ONE thought beginning into that season Seahawks would make the playoffs. They really shut everyone up that year! Was shocked that they beat arguably the greatest offense of all time in the Super Bowl at metlife
being a hawks fan that year was wild because we had little to no national coverage outside of russell wilson praise all year. then after that SB suddenly all seahawks fans are 'bandwagon'
@@Ryan-qv9se it’s crazy to think about bc during the good days of 2000s with hassleback and company, Seahawks were not that covered anymore. No one ended up taking them seriously with Wilson and company coming, but that obviously changed the 2013 season. Since then, they’ve been one of the more iconic franchises for Gen Z’ers, Wilson and the LOB (specifically Sherman) are still highly known to this day
@@mariosnum1fanno one thought? I doubt that, they were nearly in the nfc title game the year before. They were a trendy preseason SB pick. I remember cuz i won alot of money on them lol
@@jrad410 yea bro. Projected as 2nd in the division. 49ers were their own class. Packers, bears, Vikings and lions (to an extent), giants, cowboys, redskins (to an extent), falcons. The saints were a trendy pick with Payton back. Seahawks were like a mid team entering 2013 despite an underrated season. I am happy you won money; must’ve gotten a lump sum for that
This team was built different wish we could get back to that
Where was Chancellor's hit on DT in the SuperBowl?! That was a great play!
Marshawn had so many "Get off me boy" moments!!! 😂😂😂

I have to agree greatest secondary ever assembled and I’m not a Seahawks fan
To the people who say modern QBs never got hit - look at that shot on Russ at 0:30.

NFL THROWBACK BACK WITH THE EARLY 2010’s BANGERS‼️‼️🤝
Mr.Doug Baldwin, was mr 3rd down. he would always catch the ball on critical 3rd down plays. he was incredible
Chris Clemons was underrated
Seahawks had such a complete team this year both offense and defense. Of course the defense was legendary but it amazes me how anyone could ever call these receivers pedestrian with all the amazing clutch one handed deep balls and sideline toe tap catches they were making!
Earl Thomas my favorite football player of all time.
An absolute speed demon and ball hawk out there. Was my favorite to watch as well
Sherm, Earl and Kam. Played like they were all related. Awesome group to watch.
This was a great era fot the Seahawks. They used to punk a lot of teams (including my Saints, unfortunately).
Seahawks receiver core during this time was very underrated
What a fun year to be a Seahawks fan 😊
This wide reciever corp of Tate, Kearse, and Baldwin was SO underrated. Sure they aint put up the most crazy numbers, but the types of catches they were making, especially in crucial and clutch moments, were off the charts. Toe taps. contested catches, one handed catches, jump balls, broken tackles, deep balls, they did it all. So much skill in that receiving corp.
Hands down, the best defense in Seahawks history. I'm so glad I was able to watch these guys play during this time. Our games with the 49's were always barn burners too.
Do this for more teams please.
I think no fly zone should be next
Fun team to watch for a couple years. Legitimate rivalry between the Seahawks and Niners.
A “couple” years!? I’d check some numbers sir.
But, hell yes…. That rivalry and those games were some of the top football matchups I’ve ever seen. So fun to watch.
P.S. I’m betting 9ers are getting the title this year. I hate to say it but I can give respect where it’s due.. best team in the league right now.
as a broncos fan I hate to say it but man that LOB defense is the greatest defense ever
Such a fun time to be a Seahawks fan! That tip in the end zone to go to the Super Bowl has to be the most iconic moment in Seahawks history
