Im a 3rd generation Broncos fan and have been watching them for 36 years, and this guy, from the first time I seen him play (last game of the 2017 season) knew he was going to be great. The man is a killer. Micheal Jordan, Tom Brady, and Jerry Rice-like lunacy. You can’t teach great instincts and competitiveness. This is the guy that’s good at everything. He’s probably beer pong champ in school.
In divisional games he also reminds me of Elway. As a KC fan you would be up 10 in the 4th quarter and thinking "oh no, here it comes" and I'll bet it's the same being opposite Mahomes.
As a Chiefs fan since 1966, it's heartwarming to see all this current success, but the best part is shutting up all the talking heads in the NFL and the acidic fan-bases of the teams we trashed getting here. Mahomes is alone atop the mountain.

Didn't know the #2 defense in the league with a top 5 TE in history, a great line, and one of the best coaches ever was a little but sure. Also in 3/4 of his SB games he's been outplayed (Outplayed by Brady, Hurts and Purdy) per PFF. also he was just blatantly missing the fact that Chase Young did 0 to contain and completely lost leverage, also he threw it to the wrong team, his D saved that first half from being a 20 point game

Just a small note. It is an interesting reminder of how many big 3rd down conversions or big catches Watson had. I am glad we have him still this year. Some of the other WRs will be replaced but he really is a good 2-4 target WR 4.

He's got the intuition and drive of Brady, the raw conscious intelligence and pre-snap reading of Peyton, and the athletic talent (both with his arm and his legs) of Rodgers. You look at some of those throws... he knows exactly where the receiver is going to become open before it happens. You look at those runs... he doesn't even need to run quickly because he knows exactly where the space is. There are so many quarterbacks who have the raw athleticism which he has and use that as a crutch, but his ambition just drives him to new heights. Most quarterbacks who can run and throw lasers just stick to that, but when defenses learned to counteract that Patrick learned to throw dinks and manage the game. Just brilliant. You already know he'll totally reinvent himself a number of times and play til he's 40, God willing. What a player.
Really interesting how much Justin Watson features in these plays. He lurks quietly up until he makes those big catches. Sports commentators don't talk about him at all, but I love him as a hidden knife for the Chiefs.
