Very educational. I did know that products don't make your hair grow. I have been using ayurvedic products for years. It doesn't make my hair grow any faster but it has improved my strains. What you have said is so true. I have high porosity hair and once I grasped that information, I just kept everything simple. Keeping things simple has worked out for me. I wash my hair each week & it's working for me. I also clarify my scalp. Co-washing was never my cup of tea. This is very educational. So far my hair is thriving. Good job sis.

I started using fenugreek powder together with yogurt as a mask, then shampooed it away, for some months, let's say once a week. It made my hair fall out less, noticeably less, and supplied protein to my hair, it made my strands look really good and provides detangling. However I also suspect it decreased my sebum production. I am not using it for the moment and see how it goes. Fenugreek is also nice in spinach curries, in moderation because it can be too bitter.

💜 I came across your channel by accident or was it by
    serendipity🥰
🤔 due to watching another video, 3 ways how to use use fenugreek.
💜 I liked the idea because it is a natural product so if it enters my bloodstream it will not poison my system, hence the whole reason for me using natural ingredients 🥰 so I thought 🤔
💜I have recently stated drinking fenugreek again first thing in the morning and spraying my hair with fenugreek water.
💜Also, I have been using onion juice on my scalp and recently adding the onion remnants to hot water, then drinking it after being strained.
💜 My hair has a cycle of growing, breaking, I know when it is going to happen, as it starts to itch, gets hot I try to resist to scratch it but in the end I do sometimes really aggressively. Or it gets really dry then it breaks at each coil of the hair strand. So then I may use henna as it is meant build up in the hair strand/cracks to give the hair strength.
💜 It is a constant cycle happens in the same area the crown the a patch attach appears to the left of it, also, my hair breaks down the center of my hair down to the front.🤔
💜From since I cut my hair about 2 years ago, I spray/wet my hair every day use oil and sheer butter to give it a curly look plus add moisture
💜Your advice makes aolt of sense which I will do.🥰
💜But my concern is if you cannot eat something should it be going on your body, hair as it could be toxic to the bodies system 🤔
Sometimes it seems so hard/challenging what to do for the best without comprising anything🤔
💜 Thank you for your brilliant presentation, advice, and genuinely wanting to help, which I am sure is really appreciated by ALL🌀
💜Long may you and ALL of your nearest and dearest strive & thrive!! &
everyone who watches your videos 🥰
If you have any advice for me I would really love to hear it as this journey has been a challenge 💜
In the meantime I will watch your other videos.🥰
💜I love to watch Curly Proverbs & Green Beauty etc.🥰
💜Thank you again for your love & your generosity I admire your strength and fortitude for walking in your destiny🥰

That just means you let the natural bacteria that’s on your scalp become so overwhelming for the scalp that it slowed down your natural hair growth cycle. Since you killed the bacteria with fenugreek your hair growth cycle was reset and your hair grew like normal.
Like I said in the video it’s doesn’t grow hair it kills the overgrowth of bacteria you let happen. Keep the scalp clean and free from product and you hair will stay thick No problem. Long term you will kill too much good bacteria and the thick hair will thin out. Thanks for sharing!

I also have never used topically but considered it. The irony about DHT is it's bad for the follicles, however it also helps produce sebum. So it's like a catch 22. No more applying water until next wash day unless I’m pulling my hair back into a bun. And it’s not fully wet. Only mist it with water and maybe apply get to the perimeter of my hair.

I was watching a video on fenugreek from some hair RUclipsr trying to sell their products (because of course they are) and the moment she said that studies have shown that it worked better for men than Minoxidil, I immediately knew that their HAS to be something estrogenic about it for it to have that reaction in men, because other than Minoxidil, estrogen is the only other thing that can do that in men. It DOES increase estrogen production. It is an estrogenic receptor modulator and may increase growth of breast cancer cells.

I have not looked for studies specifically but usually what I see is that many herbs are labeled as not safe for use in pregnancy and nursing even though they've been used for centuries in other herbal traditions (in this commenter's case probably Ayurveda, in my case Unani Tibb) for this purpose is because there haven't been conclusive scientific studies (in the west) supporting either side.@@IamCynDoll

First comment! Research, regimen, repeat. I cook with Fenugreek, makes a lovely curry! The truth is the progress we have made with science is seen as somehow being disloyal to the things done generations ago. This makes no sense since we know that the average life span, not counting slavery, was so much less than it is currently. So why would we want to go back to the days of ignorance? Culture can still be maintained but not if it is damaging. Treating women as less than your dog was done so should we go back to that as well? I did have a tricologist add rosemary and a few other things to carrier oils to some of my hair products when she was treating my hair loss. She explained the science behind it but also added a targeted restructuring product to my then regimen. My dermatologist advised I use a salicylic shampoo twice a month for 3 months and then switch to zinc pyrithione for the next 3 months. With lupus in my genes my diet is rich and varied in all the things that our bodies need to fight inflammation, daily exercise and managing stress round out my regimen. The last I am not so good at but I keep at it.
