One of my best friends: she bleaches her hair every month, does the keratin relaxer every other month, blowdries plus flatirons her hair after every wash. She’s done that for at least 5 years now. And she has the thickest and longest hair I’ve ever seen. Her hair is so thick, many people think she wears extensions. I do literally nothing to my hair and I don’t even have a quarter of her thickness. At some point you just start questioning life...
It's funny, my hair actually grew a lot thicker after I got my hair high-lifted. I had done literally nothing to my hair until 2016 (when I cut it mid length for the first time and it has never been long since), and it was the thinnest and unhealthiest hair, but when I started cutting it and adding highlights and then high-lift coloured it, it grew much thicker and healthier.
@@areyoucereals my problems with my hair started 2016 as well. But I'm not brave enough to touch it. I'm afraid it'll break off more than it does now...
@@areyoucereals Normally bleaching raises your hair cuticles, thus giving that "thick hair" feeling. That's why people normally say that bleaching your hair damages it.

Using paraben-free and fragrance free hair shampoo and gently massaging two times per week with hair oil from litttleextra cocooonion oil. Important to keep in mind that hair growth is influenced by overall health as well as circulation and diet.

Hey esthetician here, when I went to my internship at an esthetic surgeon and dermatology practice I learned so much of my education was wrong and incorrect. I was mortified. After this re-education and I started my career with spas and or big names in the beauty industry I was seen as an outlier. Needless to say thank you for diving deep into science when it comes to our bodies and marketing beauty.
@@leanneadams2549 Yes, I learned the hard way to NEVER ask for a "trim",all they hear is Cut My Hair Off, however you want! Ask for a "dusting"! If they don't know what you mean, it means that they did not go to a reputable school.
i’m a hairstylist and pretty much everything you said in this video is something that we learned in beauty school !! it makes me so happy to see that you put so much work and research into this video and that you’re not spewing the same things that every hair care brand tells everyone ! always remember that if you’re getting information from a company, they likely are not telling the whole truth because their end goal is SALES, not necessarily actually telling you what is best for your hair ❣️
@Does it matter I have an idea... Instead of telling the hairstylist the exact length that you want to be cut..tell her/him shorter than that...like if you want an inch say half inch...hahhaha just thought about this..

I love how you consider multiple races/ethnic backgrounds when talking about hair! It’s so nice to have my coily hair type included in this scientific perspective 🥰 I can’t stop watching your videos now!
did you catch when she said on one of the tips "if you have coily hair, avoid twisting it" I thought that was odd I live in twists and they are considered a "protective" style lol i didn't see any comments about that
Yes! Although I wanna site something. She mentions silk satin hair protectors and those are actually toxic to your skin it turns out and can lead to hair loss and skin damage. You can do further investigation if you’re curious about why this is exactly, but I’m sure that was something she threw in and wasn’t included in the text. I always assumed it was the best considering the silky material. I have about 5 feet of hair for example and I only use scrunchies, but I was using silk and satin hair covers, pillows, scrunchies until I recently experienced some really upsetting shedding. Cotton is apparently better for the skin.

I’ve struggled with my own hair and have often felt that many hair care people online simply don’t know what they’re talking about and spread potentially dangerous advice. I greatly appreciate how you have actually taken the time to go through scientific studies to actually determine what we *do* know about hair. Such a fantastic video!
FINALLY a video that actually has decent, sensical and fabulously glorious hair facts. Ive literally been scouring the internet for days trying to find anything that makes even a little bit of sense and you have hit the nail on the head, finished the building and buried the hammer. I could kiss you!!! xxxxx
This is the ONLY video I've found that actually looks at hair science in depth. Usually people say one or two things backed by 'science' to make their video sound legit, but you FILLED this video with facts and information (and even put a link to buy the book)! I especially liked the bit about how acidity in shampoo is very dangerous, I've heard the talk on sulfates, but very few people have said much about pH. Thank you for the education you gifted me!
I'm just seeing your comment, but as much information as I got from it(a lot!) I'm left wondering how to find out what the ph level is in my shampoo..? If you know anything, could you tell me? I would SO appreciate it!😊
During the summer of 2018 i had hair that barely reached my shoulders. Now, in january 2021 my hair has reached my lower back!! My hair used to be so thin and barely grew before i tried these tips❤️: - Braid your hair into pigtails before sleeping (to avoid breakage) - Take biotin and silica daily (this really kickstarted my hairgrowth, and i dont use it anymore - it truly worked for me!) - Be gentle and PATIENT and your fingers to work through knots and tangles. - Use a good hair oil and leave in conditioners after washing your hair (hair oil also helps to soften tight knots) - Rinse with cold water (i do it in the sink) after shampoo to close cuticles - Use hairties without those metal pieces on them - Spend time finding split ends and cut them off so the split doesn’t split any further and weaken the hair strand - Always try to avoid heat styling and blowdrying - Avoid too much stress and anxiety, as it fucks up your hormones (as mentioned in the video) Hope your hair grows all the way down to your ass. Amen 😘
How thin was ur hair, my hairs thin, and shedding, I took biotin for 6 months, stopped it a mo th and a half ago, mybhair is shedding, specially when I comb it, I'm older 48, did biotin really work for you, and is ur hair thicker now

@@lineavictoria2631 Could you suggest a good hair oil to apply post shampoo? Also, should I apply when it is still wet/semi dry or after it is completely dry?
@@Hari-bz1mh yeah i LOVE Biosilk Silk therapy 😭 i bought a small 15 ml bottle that lasted me 2 months and i used it after washing ny hair, while its damp. You wanna apply hair products while your hair is damp because the hair cuticles will be opened and able to take in all the nutrients of the product ❤️ completely wet hair will not absorb oil because as we know, water and oil wont mix. biosilk can be super pricy and small bottles may be hard to find, so Revlon Uniq 1 (one) leave in is also amazing, same goes for Syoss beauty elixir. I’ve tried numerous oils during my hair growth journey, and these oils truly help SO much when it comes to detangling your hair with your fingers. Okay I'm glad I took a chance watching this video because it really surprised me to see her include African/ curly-coily hair types and textures and made me really happy to see some form of girls supporting girls by being very informative and as inclusive as she could be with this vid. Thank you so much! It is really appreciated ! 🥰 💕
Same here, I was thinking that this video was geared toward Caucasian hair, but I tried it and was really glad to see focus on other races kind of hair. And some useful info I can actually apply in my hair regimen.
YES, most of the time it’s just people talking about THEIR hair type, which is okay, but they never acknowledge that all hair is different, so they somehow expect us to get the same results which at times can be quite frustrating, especially for different people who may be new to hair care and don’t know any better. IE: when I first started hair care I washed it everyday and practically ripped out my curly locks because I thought that’s how it should be and I’m happy now that we’re able to just go to videos like this and get help, boy I wished I had this when I started my hair journey😃
Me too!! I learned so much!! I wasn’t expecting cause I’m so use to not seeing people go into the differences. Love it!!! I always wondered if it was true we lose around 100 strands cause it really seemed like we actually lose less.
My hair is caucasian, obvs, but I tend to watch curly/coily hair videos cause they help a lot when you need help to grow and nourish very dry hair, so I think being inclusive should be always a must
Sarah, we share a name, and long hair stories also. Grew up not able to cut my hair, long story. But I always did have long hair, so every time I cut it I cried. But people always were like, you have 4 kids, why the hair? You are too old for long hair. Done listening, I do not feel right with short hair ( short to me is around mid back really) I had hair down to my knees as a teenager. My mother washed it every 4 days, finger combed it and braided it when dry , 2 days later, used conditioner for tangles. So that is how I still do my hair. Your video came up, and I am very happy it did!
Okay quick question So I cute my hair and shaved a lot of it off in January. I'm really self conscious about it. How do you suggest getting it to grow fast so it's longer by the time school starts in September?
@Jaidyn Rodocker Massage ur scalp every morning and night. Diet; I recommend fish. Find good shampoo and conditioner and only wash the roots bc the product will rinse its way to the tips. Dont overwash. Puberty changes your hair so beware if ur going through that.

I have curly coily hair so my hair goes from being waist-length in the shower to shoulder-length when dry lol. Also Sarah's hair looks wavy, like she should try styling it wavy if she hasn't already.
At least a 1 inch trim once a year 😬 If your ends have split ends/damage, they're going to be breaking breaking off and your hair won't be able to retain any length.
I liked that you made that distinction between combing wet vs dry for straight/wavy and curly/coily hair. I was always confused about which way was better and I’d read about one being better and then next time it’s the other being better
Thank you so much for being so inclusive of african hair textures. I never have seen a white person discuss my hair to this extent and I have learned so much too. You know more than a lot of us.
My doctor recommended swimming for my back problems, and I would wet hair before going into the pool, cover hair with conditioner, place a lycra cap over my hair, and then a rubber cap over that. When I got out of the pool my hair was better conditioned than when I went in. You then immediately rinse your hair, wash it once and reapply conditioner.
You just described deep conditioning, my friend. The process of adding conditioner then covering it with a cap to add heat helps with hydrating, moisturizing, amd repairing your hair.
@@artisticagi Most caps nowadays are made out of silicone; that might be your problem. For the outer cap, try using a rubber (latex) bubble swim cap with chin strap. Those caps will probably stay on even without using the optional chin strap. Make certain it is made out of rubber or latex. I've seen swim caps advertised as rubber, but when you look at the materials used it says silicone. Of course if you are allergic to latex that's not going to help. There are silicone swim caps with chin straps, but I don't know if they would stay on even with the chin strap.

This is actually pretty interesting. So many of these types of videos end up giving out inaccurate info, but this seems very straightforward and backed up by science and studies. My hair is about to hit classic length and I’ll hopefully hit thigh length sometime next year. It’s not quick though! My hair grows quicker than the average person and it still took me 4 years to get it down to my butt from a pixie cut !
Ok, I know your video is 2 years old, but I just found it. It’s the best I’ve seen. I’ve watched a number of videos and have found something problematic with each one, but yours makes sense as well as coming from sound research. I’m 63. Had to retire early in 2015 because I became disabled due to chronic pain and fatigue. Now rather than having to style my hair for work, I’m happy to have the luxury of trying to grow it LONG! I’d love to grow it to tailbone level. It’s fine, but thick and has some natural curl and wave. It’s almost mid-back now. I’ve been using L’Oreal Dream Lengths when I wash it, and not washing it more than once a week. I’m using some oils on it-olive, mixed with some castor rosemary oil to try to keep it moisturized, especially on my ends. I’ll be looking for more of your videos! Thank you for the work you put into understanding the subject! Your hair is beautiful.

I love the reminder to not compare your hair to others, and to take in all that information for when looking at products and doing stuff to your hair, but not to follow it strictly because that could very much negatively impact your wellbeing. And if I could have my hair any length, I'd definitely want to have it Rapunzel's length. And if I could cut it short and magically grow it straight away again, that would be perfect. My hair is down to my butt. It's mainly due to not messing with it. I don't use heat styling & i do my best to keep up with a healthy hair routine, but lately it has been having buildup issues so I'm working with this new challenge & learning what I can. Taking what works, leaving what doesnt. Another challenge I have is my daughter has more african hair & since financially I can't afford a million different products, I mainly focus on her hair health & I think that's where my build up issues are coming from. It's interesting.
Hi, Girl! You are so good doing this stuff, and you look so great! 🥰 I'm a woman who turned 62 years old in December, and by that time I had grown my hair for 4 years. I was totally short, like a boy cut, when I decided to let my hair grow. In my teens, twenthies, thirthies, forthies and fifthies I had my hair between my shoulders to my back, just above my bra. I never seem to get it longer, so now I wanted to give it a try. In about 2 years with no trimming, it reached my bra on my back, and the next 2 years it reached my waist. Now I' m 4 years and 3 months in, and now its another 5 cm longer. I trim it very little 3 times a year now. Like 3mm- 1,5 cm. I want it to reach my mid hips, just before my thies, around midway on my butt. That is because I want my braid to reach my upper part of the hips. Its now to my waist when braided. I have very thick hair, and thickness is all the way down, so I love it, and even young people does give me compliments on it. I have natural light blonde hair, so my grey's does not show too much. Every year early spring, I dye it with a tone just one small grade darker, because the sun makes it very White. I do not want to meet another summer with my hair all white already. I use Loreal excellence number 8. And by doing that I get the exact same natural colour I had in my early teens before I ever had any colour added. My daughter say I have to donate my hair, when I die, because it is so soft and thick. May be I will, May be I will tell her to cut it, haha. I want her to take a picture of me first though.🤣 The pic on my Page here is from December. Hair was white after a long summer by the sea. But its not like that now. Its more like yours. In about 1 year I might have reached my goal. My hair never gets greasy on my scalp, and I do not clean it more than 1-2 times a week. Now I can not understand why I never let it grow longer when I was young. Makes me irritabel, haha, because I could have looked much more pretty. Well, now I'm a wife, mother and grandmother, so who cares how I look. 😆 I just wanna be a grand old Lady with nicer hair than most grannies I know. That is ok enough. God bless you Girl, and you guys whoever reading. Take care! Greetings from Norway. 🌷🤍🌷🤍🌷🤍🌷🤍🌷🤍🌷🤍🌷
You’re the first poster I’ve seen over 50 (I’m sure there are others). What do you do to keep it thick and strong? I’m having thinning hair due to menopause.
This past year I've started using henna to color my hair. It's all natural and covers and stays on the white hairs better than any box color. If I use a box color, it comes off of the white hair in 2 weeks, even if it's permanent color. I'm not saying you have to use henna. I just wanted to comment here and say your hair sounds beautiful!!! 💕

I love that you based this on science and did your homework. Not many people would! This knowledge was sooooo useful. I truly admire and appreciate your sincerity and efforts in making this video come to life. It's rare to see someone so beautifully nerdy in the hair industry part of RUclips. Thank you for sharing your sources too! I checked out the text book you read and yeah you're right-it is expensive! How many pages is that thing lol? $227 for a paperback copy and $344 for a hardcover. I think it will be worth it. People don't seem to value knowledge like they used to and would rather spend their money on clothes and makeup instead of books. I'm glad you've shared a healthy balance. Your video was so well done! I'm really glad I came across it. Looking forward to your next nerdy videos ;)
Thank you so much! I’ve been sitting at my computer all day for days editing the next one, so this was just the encouragement I needed right now. my hair is thick and grows faster than average but I shaved my head two years ago, so needless to say my goal of having waist-length hair again is still ongoing 😅 it was annoying and a lot of work at that length, but it was super healthy bc I only air dried it or did a fishtail braid so when I took it out I had mermaid waves ✨ I highly recommend a silk or satin pillowcase like sarah mentioned- I have a satin one from Amazon and I noticed a huge difference in my hair

I watched about 30 DIY hair tutorials earlier today. YOU are the ONLY ONE WHO MAKES ANY SENSE!! All the different combinations of oils, eggs, rice water and etc. was seriously irritating me!! I totally agree with you on everything you said! I'm part Native American Indian and have a little Asian in my lineage, too. I trim my hair on a full moon (Native American Indian culture) I wash my hair every 2-3 days. But, I do color my hair about every 6-8 weeks, sometimes less and sometimes a little longer. I got my first gray hair at the age of 26, and now I'm 42, I'll be 43 in August. If I didn't color my hair it would look like salt and pepper but with more salt.😜😜😜😢😢. I was supposed to get extensions in my hair a few months ago, but I unfortunately lost contact with the lady who was going to do it. I ABSOLUTELY do not like just anymore messing with my hair, because just like you said some people tend to get jealous and want to chop off long hair somebody has! I have had long hair since I was a child, when I was pregnant with my son my hair was the thickest most lustrous beautiful it had ever been in my life!! Post pregnancy it took several years though but now my hair is so damaged and fried looking because I color it! I know that's not helpful to having healthy hair but I refuse to be half gray right now! I do coconut oil treatments mixed in with deep conditioner treatments and I take collagen biotin, L- lysine. But I did take fenugreek for a while a couple years ago and not seem to help. But like you said each of us knows our hair better than anybody else we can't compare it and I totally agree with you on that. But I swear when I trim my hair on full moon, it actually does grow longer not much centimeter or so. But I can tell because I color my hair and in two weeks later it's a full moon and I trim it. Then next thing I know I have a half an inch or less of gray hairs coming out the roots. Anyways thank you so much for your information and your thorough research you are fantastic for doing that!!
it was just yesterday I chopped 14 inches of my hair .. and here I'm at 1:30 am today watching ways to grow your hair 🤣🤣🤣 Being impulsive suck sometimes😅
I'm pretty happy with my hair length, it's almost to my waist, but sometimes I still feel it looks ugly. I know this isn't true as I get compliments frequently, but it's just that my hair won't commit to anything (maybe it represents my personality, I'm very indecisive). It's not wavy, but neither is it straight (like a bisexual... wait). It's not blonde, but neither is it truly red. It's really just this pale blondish brownish redish color that is hard to define but people refer to as simply "red" (um, actually, it's strawberry blonde. Fight me). I could dye my hair but there is just a lot to unpack with that concept when you naturally have an unusual hair color. Sometimes I like my hair color, but most of the time I have a difficult relationship with it... and that's what I'd really like to improve. Not my hair-- my attitude. ...and writing this comment was very cathartic and I feel better about my hair already because I realize we have things in common.
I love strawberry blond hair! I have dark brown hair, and it can never decide whether it wants to be curly, wavy, straight, frizzy, literally any hair type XD your hair sounds beautiful, I'm sure it looks lovely on you 💜
You are so adorable. We all fall into one of the three categories. That's why they only tested the three categories of Asian, African, and Caucasian. Everyone is either Asian, African or Caucasian, or a mix of two or all three. Great video. Thanks for sharing and researching.
As someone who has long hair and makes soap, this video really resonates with me. I wanted to respond to your comment about lather. People absolutely believe that lather means clean, it has nothing to do with getting clean, like you said. Soapmakers often have to add extra products to their handmade soap to give it a better lather, otherwise people won't buy it. Store-bought soap is full of detergents and chemicals to make it lather, which isn't healthy for skin let alone hair.

I had done literally nothing to my hair until 2016 (when I cut it mid length for the first time and it has never been long since), and it was the thinnest and unhealthiest hair, but when I started cutting it and adding highlights and then high-lift coloured it, it grew much thicker and healthier.

Yes! Although I wanna site something. She mentions silk satin hair protectors and those are actually toxic to your skin it turns out and can lead to hair loss and skin damage. You can do further investigation if you’re curious about why this is exactly, but I’m sure that was something she threw in and wasn’t included in the text. This is undoubtedly the single most helpful hair growth video I’ve ever seen
During the summer of 2018 i had hair that barely reached my shoulders. Now, in january 2021 my hair has reached my lower back!!
My hair used to be so thin and barely grew before i tried these tips❤️:
- Braid your hair into pigtails before sleeping (to avoid breakage)
- Take biotin and silica daily (this really kickstarted my hairgrowth, and i dont use it anymore - it truly worked for me!)
- Be gentle and PATIENT and your fingers to work through knots and tangles.
- Use a good hair oil and leave in conditioners after washing your hair (hair oil also helps to soften tight knots)
- Rinse with cold water (i do it in the sink) after shampoo to close cuticles
- Use hairties without those metal pieces on them
- Spend time finding split ends and cut them off so the split doesn’t split any further and weaken the hair strand
- Always try to avoid heat styling and blowdrying
- Avoid too much stress and anxiety, as it fucks up your hormones (as mentioned in the video)
Hope your hair grows all the way down to your ass. Amen 😘

Done listening, I do not feel right with short hair ( short to me is around mid back really) I had hair down to my knees as a teenager. My mother washed it every 4 days, finger combed it and braided it when dry , 2 days later, used conditioner for tangles. So that is how I still do my hair.
My swim cap would start slipping off when I added conditioner
@@artisticagi Most caps nowadays are made out of silicone; that might be your problem. For the outer cap, try using a rubber (latex) bubble swim cap with chin strap. Those caps will probably stay on even without using the optional chin strap. Make certain it is made out of rubber or latex. I've seen swim caps advertised as rubber, but when you look at the materials used it says silicone. Of course if you are allergic to latex that's not going to help. There are silicone swim caps with chin straps, but I don't know if they would stay on even with the chin strap.

I'm a woman who turned 62 years old in December, and by that time I had grown my hair for 4 years.
I want her to take a picture of me first though.🤣
The pic on my Page here is from December.

What's your hair washing methods/products you use?
You’re the first poster I’ve seen over 50 (I’m sure there are others). What do you do to keep it thick and strong? I’m having thinning hair due to menopause.
This past year I've started using henna to color my hair. It's all natural and covers and stays on the white hairs better than any box color. If I use a box color, it comes off of the white hair in 2 weeks, even if it's permanent color.
I'm not saying you have to use henna. I just wanted to comment here and say your hair sounds beautiful!!! 💕
Your birthday is on December! Me too! I'm 9 - 14 years old
@@JoJoGranum sorry Im late...almost 4 years since I was here. I cut my hair off March 8. 2024. By that time my hair was shorter than the years and months before, but still 87 cm.
I kept it by never using hairdryer, no spray, nothing on my scalp, only a bit conditioner at the ends....that I did not rinse out. I ate vitamins, drinking whole milk, eating eggs, I trimmed it 2 cm every second month.
If I want long hair again I just let it grow. But I love it now. Fit for a girl soon 66.
me: *already has hair down to my butt*
also me: i’ll watch this anyways lol
My hair just reached above the hip line that's also when I straighten them. I am also trying to grow them
😆
So glad you enjoy and appreciate the many, many hours of work that go into making these 🙏🏻❤️
Also, not sure actually how many pages it is because I have the ebook and I realized every time I change the size of the window, the number of pages change 😆
I'd love it if you do study on traditional Indian haircare (oiling before wash, natural shampoo etc)

I love the visuals and that you cite your sources. You're a breathe of fresh air! 😊
my hair is thick and grows faster than average but I shaved my head two years ago, so needless to say my goal of having waist-length hair again is still ongoing 😅 it was annoying and a lot of work at that length, but it was super healthy bc I only air dried it or did a fishtail braid so when I took it out I had mermaid waves ✨ I highly recommend a silk or satin pillowcase like sarah mentioned- I have a satin one from Amazon and I noticed a huge difference in my hair
“DONT BLEACH YOUR HAIR!”

girl you'll be alright, just make sure not to use super strong bleach on virgin hair! i'd recommend 10-15 volume for a short period of time over the course of a few days if you've never used bleach. for whatever reason i'm able to use 40 volume and still have healthy hair, but i'm also impatient and have years of experience dyeing my hair.

Awww let's be proud of Sarah that how much she does for us
I'm Asian, and you are amazing! I can not stop watching your videos this helped to grow my hair! Thank you so so much I love your videos!

Thanks Sarah!
I have been growing my hair to donate to patients undergoing chemotherapy and it's still not enough. I will try these tips...xo
OMG you are SO SWEET I hope you and the patients have a happy healthy life❤️🥺🥺❤️
OMG!!! it is the first time that I finally find a hair care channel that does not try to sell me "Magic" methods, you actually explain how it works and I am really enjoying learning the truth about what was I doing wrong with my hair.
THANK YOUUUUU
I like my hair to hang past shoulders....which means I have to grow it almost to my back. It's curly....so the hair looks 50% shorter than it is.

Hey there if you want long and shiny healthy hair please check out my diy herbal oil on my youtube channel you will thank me later😊
As a scientist myself and a hair lover, I love this video! I have an olaplex mask in my hair as I watch this.
What is an olaplex?!😊
@@skylarbix7912 it is a brand of hair products. They incorporate scientific solutions and bonding to make your hair stronger and ultimately healthier.
Love the part about not comparing yourself to others! Great video! 😍
New to watching. Been trying to grow my hair out. Biology degree here, and this reminded me of info I had forgotten..so Ty.
Btw, the shapes (decor) in your background are giving me “OA” vibes and missing the show that was dropped by Netflix 😭
I would make my hair probably around my knees because then I would be able to put it in french plaits that I could sit on!!! I would love that!!!
Anyways thank you so much for your information and your thorough research you are fantastic for doing that!!
it was just yesterday I chopped 14 inches of my hair .. and here I'm at 1:30 am today watching ways to grow your hair 🤣🤣🤣
Being impulsive suck sometimes😅
Same, I cut 50cm from my hair two days ago 😂
I cut 13 inches in September! Now I want it long again!
I practically shaved my head. I miss my long hair 😩
Same. There is not a single hair cut that i have not regretted.
Me sitting here with a DIY hair treatment in my hair: 👁👄👁

As a hispanic girl with semi wavy and semi curly hair... IM SO CONFUSED 😭😭😭
yes lmaoo i have curly but not coily high porosity hair and idk if i should brush it dry or wet 😓 i do it dry but idk man
@@poshniall I think if it's wet, just use a wide tooth comb.
But in all seriousness I have low porosity 3c hair so prolly somewhere between the caucasian and african hair groups
@@lionessbeauty yeah i’ve started doing it wet with lots of conditioner
@@poshniall detangle when it's wet and you have applied conditioner, start with ur fingers first because it's easier to spot combs and end with a wide tooth comb
