My parents offered me a Tissot for my 20's. This was 20 years ago and it's still working perfectly in a perfect shape! They did not have a lot of money and this is fantastic that they could offer me such a good quality watch at an affordable price from a brand with a rich history. Now I have more money and can afford myself more expensive watches but I still wear regularly my Tissot from 20 years ago.
Well, my father offered me a Tissot automatic movement watch in 1974, and although I don't wear it regularly anymore, it still works perfectly. It's a Tissot Visodate automatic seastar with a black dial and a date indication at the 3 o'clock position. It's a 34 mm watch: rather small in comparison with the 40mm and more watches of today.
It was in my list for over a month. My first watch was an Orient automatic when I was 13, so I’m 51 now and I never had another automatic till now. I’m very happy, your review helped me a lot. Thank you !
The Tissot Visodate was my first Swiss watch and I still love it. I bought it to celebrate a new job. When I returned home I realized my father’s high school graduation watch was a Tissot automatic also, I knew it was the right purchase!
Same. My first watch as an adult with a job was the Tissot Visodate as well! While there are other watches I have discovered in the 6 years since I purchased it, I can't seem to find it in myself to sell it seeing as how it holds sentimental value to me. Perhaps something I can pass on to my son one day!
Bought this a few days ago and absolutely love it. Much more comfortable than I thought (only used leather straps before this) and received some compliments already.
I bought the metal bracelet version with the blue face. It's awesome and honestly as he said a great daily driver. Things that make it awesome: - great looks, honestly looks like Rolex -blue face to die for -movement is great with 80 hrs power reserve -The finishing is great overall, the only gripe is I with bracelet links were a little closer together but overall really comfortable -price is great for what u get honestly fantastic

This was my first automatic watch I bought for myself about 2 months ago. I bought it on the brown leather. So glad to see you make a positive video on it!
How is the lume on this? I got mine delivered from an AD yesterday and it is absolutely atrocious. I mean that, unless I "charge" it with a direct bright light (think flashlight or putting it directly in front of a lamp), it has ZERO luminescence in the dark. I'm wondering if the one I have is defective?
@newbie Exactly... put the money in the stock market!! 2019 was a incredible year. It's why I didn't buy a Rolex, even though I *could* have. I'm actually enjoying some more affordable watches right now, like the Seiko Turtle and the Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical. For something totally different, thinking about a Citizen Eco drive as my next purchase actually.
I had been looking for this watch for like a month now and was really tempted to buy it on sale but I didn't want to rush the buy so I waited. Then I saw your IG pic and saw that you were going to be reviewing it so I waited to see what you have to say about it. Then just last evening I went back to see if it was still on sale and it was the last piece and last day of sale so I decided to pull the trigger. Right when I woke up this morning I saw your video and now I'm even more happy about my purchase :) got this watch for 600€, eventhough it always retails for 800€+ in Finland from AD Thanks for the great review Teddy! Keep it up :)

Ben Watts nice, i just ordered this yesterday. 4-6 week delivery, it’s gonna be a long month. Still liking it? I bought the bracelet and will get a black and and a cognac strap for versatility. Super excited, this looks amazing for the price.
@@drzaius844 - It is a beautiful design and quite elegant. Notice that the minute hand extends all the way to the digits. And the date is simple and pure. Simpler designs last longer. But the automatic movement and sapphire crystal will protect its beauty and guarantee a long life. Scratches to the bezel can be polished out.
I was looking for a present for my better half and was considering Longines and Tissot but Seiko was getting a look in too. Tissot seems to hit all the sweet spots. There is even a similar chronometer (Ballade, 5bar) though this has the same movement plus lume! Thanks for a well structured and thoughtful review.
Literally reading about at this exact watch in the past two weeks. If its 38 or 39mm I could have bought this in a heartbeat. Still a great looking watch. I do think that Tissot is an underrated watch brand.
I have a 6.5 inch wrist. I have an Orient Mako 2 which measures 41.5 mm wide, wears a bit big but forgivable given that its a diver. I also have a Citizen Corso with a 40mm which feels as big as the Mako for reasons I don't know. That's why I am venturing into smaller watches such as 38mm or smaller.
I got this watch last week and it's my first swiss watch. It's beautiful with a exquisite blue dial and I am very satisfied. Soon I will get another Tissot.
Right now I’m loving my longines conquest auto 39mm. Is my daily. I wish I’d taken more care and worn it less but I just love it so much. Great review!
Just picked up a Tissot Silicium Blue Face. I am very impressed and love the quick disconnect straps to frame as well as the double butterfly removal on the metal as well as the leather strap options. I like being able to convert the watch to slightly more or less formal with the strap change. It feels great on a 7.75" circumference wrist as well.
Have it in black for a week now. After lusting over the oyster and day date for years. I feel complete. Like i can move on with my life. This is an absolute winner from tissot and i am a very happy man. (Edit: rolex is way out of my reach and might remain that way till my own biological clock stops ticking)

I owned a few Omega, Zenith and GP over the years...but my daily rocker for the last fifteen years is a Tissot. Never had any issues with it. Affordable and reliable quality! 👍I will definitely check out the todays watch. Best regards from Germany.
I purchased my Tissot PR50 watch in Singapore in 2009 & I’m really satisfied about my purchase. For the past 11 years it has been functioning very smoothly & only once I took it to the agent here(Sri Lanka) to service. It’s really worth for the price you pay for it. Thanks for your video.
My everyday watch is changing according to the day. Most of the time the Oris BC3 advanced but a Glycine Combat open heart can take over some days. And as always G-Shock mudmaster serves as a beater. I'm glad I found your channel. Thanks for educating us!
I’m a big fan of the Seamaster Aqua Terra. It’s gorgeous, but as a married father of 3 still early in my career, I can’t even fathom buying a watch that costs as much as the last car I bought, and I’m a watch guy. This seems like an excellent, high value alternative to the Aqua Terra. I’d love it if they did a Gentleman with a silver dial and blue hands/indices like my favorite Seamaster, but that might be a little too obvious lol. Great video Teddy, as always. Big fan of the channel. 👍
I'm trying to decide between this and the Sarx045 as my first decent watch. Lots of similarities. Both have good mixes of gloss and brush. I'm leaning towards the Tissot because the indices appear to have more relief and I think the slightly thicker gloss bevel around the face gives it an overall better balance. The crown is simpler as well and the back of the watch is way more attractive. On the other hand, the Seiko's minute hashes are more refined and the tuxedo stripes are sharp. On the practical side, the Tissot has 80 hours and a silicon spring. In spite of the poor kerning (type-nerd), I'm leaning toward the Tissot. Thoughts?
Seiko SRPB41J1 (cocktail time in dark blue) has been my everyday watch since Christmas. Bought it for myself after a good year and haven't taken it off my wrist. The dial is so versatile that I can wear it with a suit (to work mon-fri for me) or dress it down with a more "out-there" strap for the weekends. I have only not worn it on one day since Christmas, and that was for a super dressy day where I wore my gold orient bambino! But, this Seiko is one I don't see ever getting rid of, even if I venture to more high end pieces, and it's simply due to the versatility and the change in blue depending on the strap!! Would recommend to anyone. Also, another FANTASTIC video, Teddy!
@@joeschlicht Yes, it does. It's also true that RUclipsrs compare every single watch that has a date complication with DJ. Even the Omega Globemaster, which is a whole different watch.
Acesuprol 2107 It has a very similar shape to the oyster and Datejust watches. It’s the round bezel sitting on top of a metal bracelet. It’s a classic design and at its top are the Rolex examples, which is why everyone is trying to offer their affordable variant. You cannot be so blind and not be seeing the similarity.
This watch reminds me of my first watch purchase. I was 13 yrs old on a school trip to Interlaken, Switzerland in 1969, and spent most of my spending money on a Tissot Seastar with a blue dial. That was a lovely watch, and this looks like a good update to that watch.
After collecting watches for the past 300 years or so I think the biggest bang for buck I've seen is the Mido Multifort chronometer with 80hr power reserve, silicon balance spring and Elonflex mainspring....cost me £742 brand new. Absolutely unbelievable value and at 42mm fits my wrist perfectly. It is never more than 2 seconds out.
I originally saw thus video 2 or 3 years ago and I thought at the this would a great 21st birthday gift for my son. This August my son turns 21 and I have not changed my mind. I even revised this video today along with the PRX comparison. So Teddy you sowed this Tissot watch idea a few years back and this summer will have this gift for many years to come.
I have been wearing my Orient Maestro every day since it arrived a few weeks ago. I went with the white dial with rose gold hands and indices and it looks dressy enough for the office on leather straps but dresses down to more sporty when on a silicon band for the weekend. Can't beat it for $265.
I bought this Tissot Gentleman with the white dial on bracelet for myself as a new year gift - since the 01.01.2020, I didn‘t spent a single day not wearing it (and my other 6 watches are dusting up). Really in love with this one! 😍
I just got one of these the other day. I have the metal strap. I’m so happy with it. It feels super sound. I love the weight of it, you can really feel it on your wrist. Really really nice Timepiece. 10/10
Amazing watch. I ordered the silver dial and I love it! I actually want to get the blue dial too. In the best possible way, I feel like this model filled out the basics of any collection. It may not be a wild design, but it's just a simple, classic, timeless Swiss automatic that offers incredible elegance, heritage, and wonderful value for money.
@@ericsfantul6029 Depends on individual taste. I have the blue one and it's gorgeous. Keep in mind though that the automatic version has a slightly darker and richer tone compared to the quartz version. It's probably due to the difference in dial materials or coating.
Have mine since 10 days, the quality of the steel strap for this price is awesome. It’s incredibly accurate in timekeeping 👍🏻 with its Saphire crystal and 80 hrs powerreserve, in this pricerange, it’s a slap in the face of the other swatch-brands. I love mine since minute 1 😁
Rico Kühne Who cares about power reserve. I’d much rather have a higher beat rate and better accuracy. It has a quick set date. How inconvenient is it really do set it and wind it should the power run down.
Great Video Teddy, I like the way you keep your focus on the watch and not so much on other things which a lot of reviewers have consistently started doing in order to make the video catchy, catchy it gets but it also puts off people like myself who tune in for the content and your valued opinions. Great job, well done keep it simple and classic :)
For the lower tier everyday watch, the Christopher Ward C65 and the for those who aren't quartz intolerant, the C3 Grand Tourer. Both these watches are off the beaten path and are rather versatile. Granted, Christopher Ward is considered by some a "micro" and has had an issue with their logo placement, but overall a great watch for the everyday category.

Love that you inserted the music from your first intro it is still my favorite and brings back memories when I was first into watches and found your channel
My everyday watch? A Bulova Precisionist. It's not bad looking, deadly accurate, and mostly indestructible. I have two versions. A gold with leather strap and a silver with silver bracelet. Why these? I like the smooth sweep second hand and if they are damaged, it's not such a dollar loss. Improvements? A larger date or add a cyclops, a day would be nice, too. Luminosity would be nice. Again, you asked about a daily watch? This is it. I also have an Orient with white face, a day/date, gold case, leather strap, for which I receive favorable comments.
Nice choice, Charles! Those precisionists are freaky accurate. Can’t do really any better when it comes to accuracy for the price. Thanks for watching!
Tissot makes great watches for affordable prices. Got a Tissot LeLocle. For like 500 bucks it offers great finishing. Since it's part of the Swatch group it comes with a very solid and well-proven ETA movement. For that kind of price you can't go wrong with it. Love it.
I was going to buy this watch but the simple version when i arrived to the store and realized that there was this version i decided to go back home and keep saving money so i can buy the powermatic 80 silicum, im pretty young so i have to work hard to be able to purchase a watch like this but i dont want anything more right now that this watch on my wrist.
Your Instagram wrist shot led me to buy my tissot gentleman two weeks ago which in fact is my first Swiss time piece. Thanks Teddy. This review is something I was looking forward from you since your wrist shot.
Really like that Tissot Teddy! That's a tough question you asked at the end there. For me personally, and I know it's redundant, but I have to go with my Hamilton Khaki auto 38mm on a strapcode bracelet. I can wear it with a t-shirt or one of my dress shirts for work, and it doesn't look ridiculous no matter what. Other than that, I would probably go with my Orient Kamasu with a leather strap. Great video as always!
Great Video! I really do thing, that Tissot makes great watches, witch are extremely underrated. I own a Tissot Seastar 1000 (Powermatic 80, black) and I can recommend it. In my opinion - great design, build and precision for the price (it is also my everyday watch). Under 1000$: Tissot Seastar 1000, Tissot Gentleman and Longines Conquest (all of the models can be found with quartz movements - I do prefer the automatic ones) .
Really helpful review. Thanks so much. I’ve had my eye on this one for a few weeks and have been waiting to see your review. Was pleased to hear you were able to deal with the 21mm lug size with a 22mm leather strap. Anyone in particular from your store you’d match with it?
I've been checking this watch out for a few months now. it keeps drawing me in. just a stunning watch that looks like a much more expensive watch than it is. nice video...
ewt415 Tissot and Omega are both part of the Swatch Group. I have an automatic Swatch that looks closer to an Omega Railmaster than this Tissot. Obviously, the sub- brands are taking features from their premium brands.
@@Lord_of_The_World I'm not sure what Omega and Tissot both being under Swatch has anything to do with this conversation? Comparing this to the 126300 blue dial, oyster bracelet, this is practically a replica to the untrained eye. Then put the Railmaster next to those two, and you'd have to be blind as a bat to say this resembles the Railmaster more than the 126300
@@Lord_of_The_World i wasn't either. The watch as a package is closer to the Datejust than the Railmaster. I don't think the Railmaster should even be in this conversation
I bought an Tissot couturier with the powermatic 80 and metal braclett and I absolutley love it. It is a little bit dressier and has a Day-Date function and the braclett looks so much better.
40 years ago men wore the same watch every day. They wore it at dinner, church or while splitting wood. A gentleman is a gentleman all of the time. This watch harkens back to those days. Thanks Teddy.
You got me Teddy. You got me to spend money on your website with this one. This is my first really nice watch, first swiss watch, and i gotta tell ya… I love it.
I agree that Citizen make good watches at an affordable price, I have been wearing one for many years and although I have had to replace many band pins the watch has always been accurate and reliable.
I got this watch in the white dial on a brown leather strap a couple of months ago and it's become my M-F work watch. If anyone is on the fence about this watch i would say, pull the trigger and get it. It has a beautiful dial and a fabulous movement. I can't say enough about the practicality of the 80hr power reserve. I take this watch off friday night, wear my trusty seiko dive watch during the weekend, and this watch is still running when i pick it back up monday morning. Plus this is the most accurate watch in my collection, i think i lucked on this one since it's running at -1 second a day on the wrist.
Great review on an impressive watch for the $$. Would love to see more reviews of this and other brands less than, say, $2,500, such as Raymond Weil, Oris, Hamilton, Etc.
Just bought this watch in black dial and brown strap ; it’s much better , looks classier in person ! This will be a gem of a model from Tissot , and going to be a sort out model by the community like SARB in under 1000 category! Good job , Tissot !
Once again top review Teddy, I just ordered one of these with the leather strap about 5 minutes before watching your review. This will make it Tissot no3 in the collection.
My everyday watch is Orient Star open heart ref:RE-AT0001L blue dial 39mm this watch is highly underrated and I haven’t seen any credible review on RUclips so Teddy if you read this please consider reviewing this watch!
If my job goes well this year and my goals are met that I have for myself, this is going to be my self gift for Christmas. I've never owned a NICE watch. Only nicer generic $20 watches and whatnot. This will hopefully be mine this year, keep workin hard!!
I've been noticing my "everyday watch" has been the last one I have bought, but this one is kinda nice. I have considered a Certina DS Podium that would fit in this category as well. Great video!
I love my Certinas. I have a few now and they are robust, well made watches at fantastic prices. Tissot is right there in the same class as Certina, imho.
KD410SE I was really close to buying the model I mentioned around Christmas, but really had no place to try it on, and the only option was to buy it from Jomashop and then return it if I wasn’t happy. I still might. I like wearing overlooked brands
I have this watch and I love it. I use it exclusively as a dress watch so it might get work once or twice a week. That said, the bezel on this watch scratches with little ease. I hate seeing those scratches on a beautiful watch.
I was searching this Tissot few days ago and just saw youtube popping up this video, what a coincidence! Hard to pick between Seiko SARB033 and Tissot Gentleman, both are great for everyday watch, I'm a SARB owner and considering to pick this Gentleman as well.
Nice review and watch. I’ll have to see that dial in person. FWIW I have a champ. khaki king which I think ticks many of the same boxes, including the lower beat rate.
My second Tissot and I love it, I only wish I had one in titanium! Beautifully smooth, sleek, discrete and Solid! I appreciate how the back shows movement and I feel confident This will always stay a timeless classic! Also for less than 1200$ taxes in I would not need another piece for another ten years!
Hey man, love what youre doing...you do the work and that to me is the most impressive thing ..picked up that nomos that you got with the white face...looking for a grey leather strap. You got one on your website
I set off to a retailer over the weekend looking for an everyday watch with the Tissot PRX in my mind. But the PRX didnt' fit my wrist well; instead I fell in love with the Gentleman. Absolutely comfortable to wear, elegant enough to match a suit and a tie, but also with the sporty feel to be worn as a casual watch. Water resistance is enough for leisure swimming. I ended up ordering the quartz version online since I have other automatic everyday watch, but I imagine I would love it as well.
Best everyday....versatile, water resistant at least 100 m, no leather strap (swimming, cycling, any other sports), quartz movement, timer, alarm, Chrono, GMT (second time zone). I really love my Omega Seamaster 120 and for me it is the best everyday watch. Bought it more than 20 years ago. Although I have some other nice timepieces (Zenith Elite GMT steel gold, Zenith Chrono HandWind, Glashütte Q1, Oris Rectangular central date, Seiko Kinetic) the watch I wear is the Omega. The Tissot is available at my local dealer - but I am actually looking of a diver. The Powermatic 80 movement is also available in some nice divers by Tissot with two-tone dials in different colors and ceramic bezels...wondering if steinhart is really the better choice, both divers are Swiss made and less than €1.000.
Everyday watch switches between SKX 007, 009 and 013. Also SARB033. Great video as always. Very informative. I have the Tissot Seastar 1000 from 2009, runs around +5 seconds a day they make great watches.
My everyday watch is a seiko 5. These little monsters are tough as hell! Anyways Teddy you should consider making a Valentine's special video about best watch to gift the ladies😜
Mine is, too. SNK793. Which, cosmetically, is basically a slightly smaller version of this watch. Baton indices, similar (flat, not beveled) hands, 3 o'clock day/date window with beveled trim, dark blue sunburst dial, open back, wide polished bezel to minimize wrist presence, brushed case. And, only $90-100 with only 30m water resistance, hardlex crystal, and 7S26 movement. Not saying one is better or worse, but interesting how strong the cosmetic resemblance actually is. If you're looking for a way to pinch a penny and get the look, you could do a lot worse!
@@NYCQ50 My friend, any mechanical watch does loose some seconds over time. As an entry level watch it is very reliable & cosmetically very beautiful with an open case back.
Nice review. I love this watch. It wears and looks luxurious, yet I don’t walk through neighborhoods with the fear that someone will rip off my arm, which is the constant paranoia I have when I wear my more expensive Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra. One point I wish the video could explain better is the silicium feature.
My everyday beater is the Tissot 1853 Powermatic 80 Day Date 39mm T055.430.11.057.00 which I received for Christmas from my girlfriend. Thanks for the great video Teddy.
Tissot actually has given us a lot of options from different movments to case types unlike the Presages that focus more on the dials. I love my Presages. But calibre wise Tissot has become so versatile that one cannot look away.
This watch is incredible. I have the silver face and it looks fantastic. Amazingly, from the time I put it on until the time I take it off 12 hours later it neither loses or gains time, it stays locked in. At night, it will gain a few seconds laying on it's side with the crown up or lose a few seconds on it's side with the crown down. So I alternate that position every night and it keeps perfect time.
I was looking at options at my local jeweller a couple of weeks ago, to buy my very first mechanical watch, and fell in love with the Gentleman from Tissot. Had to think about it, but after seeing this review I couldn`t resist it any longer so I bought one today! Blue dial with the brown leather strap was my choice.
I love it! I have been wearing it daily and still feel good when i put it on in the morning. The first few weeks I checked the timekeeping, and my ex. runs at 2-3 seconds fast average per day, wich is very good :-) The strap still looks as new, but a tad darker after I used some leather balm on it. I felt it was i little stiff in the beginning. The lume was said to be weak on these watches, but it´s adekvate for telling time through the night if it´s really dark and your eyes are adapted. I can recommend it.

Dr Zaius thank you.
Was literally just looking at this watch earlier today and wondering, "If only Teddy had a review video on this..." I'll take that as a good sign.
You really don’t need someone to tell you what watch to buy dude. He could say it’s the best watch ever, but doesn’t mean it’s suitable for everyone.
21mm lug-width is a deal breaker, so is over the top 40mm, 38'ish would have sold it.
@Hue Man what big bang? According to who?
Cringe
@@kingbk1592 you? Yes
I know I am far too late to your comment, but the Seiko SNXS79 is a stunning watch for a very reasonable price.
Literally reading about at this exact watch in the past two weeks. If its 38 or 39mm I could have bought this in a heartbeat. Still a great looking watch. I do think that Tissot is an underrated watch brand.
I found 40 mm to be pretty reasonable
I have a 6.5 inch wrist. I have an Orient Mako 2 which measures 41.5 mm wide, wears a bit big but forgivable given that its a diver. I also have a Citizen Corso with a 40mm which feels as big as the Mako for reasons I don't know. That's why I am venturing into smaller watches such as 38mm or smaller.
@@francesgerardgenil1592 6.5 inch wrist is perfect for 40mm watch and below....
Tissot Ballade has COSC and 39mm
A 38mm version would seem a better choice, with the added benefit that it would shorter the lug length.
Congrats! How about the finishing of the Rolex watches? Did you noticed the are videos showing the poor finishing for example the dial hands and such?
How is the lume on this? I got mine delivered from an AD yesterday and it is absolutely atrocious. I mean that, unless I "charge" it with a direct bright light (think flashlight or putting it directly in front of a lamp), it has ZERO luminescence in the dark. I'm wondering if the one I have is defective?
Just bought the green dial version ... Never got more looks on a watch before ... Fantastic watch and amazing time keeping . Best value for money
I owned a few Omega, Zenith and GP over the years...but my daily rocker for the last fifteen years is a Tissot. Never had any issues with it. Affordable and reliable quality! 👍I will definitely check out the todays watch.
Best regards from Germany.
Hallo :) Wie ist die Fertigung bei Tissot mit Vergleich mit Omega?
I purchased my Tissot PR50 watch in Singapore in 2009 & I’m really satisfied about my purchase. For the past 11 years it has been functioning very smoothly & only once I took it to the agent here(Sri Lanka) to service. It’s really worth for the price you pay for it. Thanks for your video.
My everyday watch is changing according to the day. Most of the time the Oris BC3 advanced but a Glycine Combat open heart can take over some days. And as always G-Shock mudmaster serves as a beater. I'm glad I found your channel. Thanks for educating us!
Im 29 and I just bought my first mechanical watch and it was the Gentlemen Powermatic 80 Open heart. Needless to say, I’m in love.
Thanks Teddy, this is now my first "serious" watch. Great video as always.
No problem, Cartman!
Watch: *has a date*
RUclipsrs: "Is this a DateJust homage?"
Come on. You can't deny that at least looks similar to the Date Just II.
Very nice to see a fellow Indian watch enthusiast... Was feeling lonely here...
@@shreyasdharur7748 Ahahahaa, Funny an kinda true, hahaha!
Hope you meant 30 years lol Thanks for sharing that experience and history however.
What’s your secret? Eat a lot of vegetables and exercise?
Are you a vampire?
I originally saw thus video 2 or 3 years ago and I thought at the this would a great 21st birthday gift for my son. This August my son turns 21 and I have not changed my mind. I even revised this video today along with the PRX comparison. So Teddy you sowed this Tissot watch idea a few years back and this summer will have this gift for many years to come.
Hello!can you please tell me why did you prefer it over the prx?because I’m lost haha
The rhodium dial is absolutely magnificent
I just got one of these the other day. I have the metal strap. I’m so happy with it. It feels super sound. I love the weight of it, you can really feel it on your wrist. Really really nice Timepiece. 10/10
Amazing watch. I ordered the silver dial and I love it! I actually want to get the blue dial too.
In the best possible way, I feel like this model filled out the basics of any collection. It may not be a wild design, but it's just a simple, classic, timeless Swiss automatic that offers incredible elegance, heritage, and wonderful value for money.
Is the blue one the best one for an non-elegant outfit?
@@ericsfantul6029 Depends on individual taste. I have the blue one and it's gorgeous. Keep in mind though that the automatic version has a slightly darker and richer tone compared to the quartz version. It's probably due to the difference in dial materials or coating.
@@ericsfantul6029yeah it goes with everything casual elegant etc
Have mine since 10 days, the quality of the steel strap for this price is awesome. It’s incredibly accurate in timekeeping 👍🏻 with its Saphire crystal and 80 hrs powerreserve, in this pricerange, it’s a slap in the face of the other swatch-brands. I love mine since minute 1 😁
Rico Kühne
Who cares about power reserve. I’d much rather have a higher beat rate and better accuracy. It has a quick set date. How inconvenient is it really do set it and wind it should the power run down.
I can't tell from the video. I'm hoping you can tell me whether the bracelet links are joined with screws or pins. Thank you
Cool! What color you got?
Great Video Teddy, I like the way you keep your focus on the watch and not so much on other things which a lot of reviewers have consistently started doing in order to make the video catchy, catchy it gets but it also puts off people like myself who tune in for the content and your valued opinions. Great job, well done keep it simple and classic :)
What a stunning looking watch for the price. Silicium spring, 80 hours power reserve and drop dead gorgeous looks for such a low price.
I was going to mention Ch. Ward as a great everyday watch....but you beat me to it. Cheers!
Just purchased my first Tissot (This watch) after watching this video. I am impressed and very happy with the watch.
I got it a few weeks ago as my every day wear. Blue dial. I love it. Really good looking watch. I do like that leather strap, too.
I have the black dial, but seeing this video makes me want to pick up the blue, too!

Love that you inserted the music from your first intro
it is still my favorite and brings back memories when I was first into watches and found your channel
Do u know what's the song name????? I love that song
I love my Precisionist, but you're right that there is basically no lume. It's still my most-worn watch since I got it last November.
What are the main differences between this and the cheaper and simpler version?
Stephen Doufas i Think he is talking about the Quartz version as the cheaper version.
Happy to help Ken! I would go for the rustic dark brown or brown or the black semi padded (one seen in this video).
@@TeddyBaldassarre can you pls send the link? Cannot find it. Tx

I was waiting for someone to review this! This has to be my favorite watch.
You gotta go for the stainless band though.
I've been checking this watch out for a few months now. it keeps drawing me in. just a stunning watch that looks like a much more expensive watch than it is. nice video...
On a leather band, this Tissot is a gorgeous, affordable automatic watch from the Swatch Group. I see a lot of thee Omega Railmaster in this
And not the Datejust?
ewt415
Tissot and Omega are both part of the Swatch Group.
Then put the Railmaster next to those two, and you'd have to be blind as a bat to say this resembles the Railmaster more than the 126300
ewt415
I wasn’t really comparing the dial.
@@Lord_of_The_World i wasn't either. The watch as a package is closer to the Datejust than the Railmaster. I don't think the Railmaster should even be in this conversation
I bought an Tissot couturier with the powermatic 80 and metal braclett and I absolutley love it. It is a little bit
dressier and has a Day-Date function and the braclett looks so much better.

great watch for the price and more than that just a great watch
40 years ago men wore the same watch every day. They wore it at dinner, church or while splitting wood. A gentleman is a gentleman all of the time. This watch harkens back to those days. Thanks Teddy.
You got me Teddy. You got me to spend money on your website with this one. This is my first really nice watch, first swiss watch, and i gotta tell ya… I love it.
Have 2 Tissot watches. Great intro to Swiss watches. Let's you know "so THAT'S what a grown up watch feels like.
For the last 4 months I have been wearing my SMITHS EVEREST PRS-25W - 36MM WHITE DIAL most often during the day.
My everyday watch is a Citizen Eco-drive. The bracelet is great and doesn’t feel cheap. I love everything else about it as well.
gordonand3
They make the best watches at all their price points. Especially when you prefer quartz as I do.
I agree that Citizen make good watches at an affordable price, I have been wearing one for many years and although I have had to replace many band pins the watch has always been accurate and reliable.
my co worker has one of those and i was really impressed with the quality , great watch
Tissot is an incredible brand, they are the first brand i think of when it comes to dress watches. Beautiful designs :)
Once again top review Teddy, I just ordered one of these with the leather strap about 5 minutes before watching your review. This will make it Tissot no3 in the collection.

I wear a seiko mini turtle daily, on a strapcode jubilee. Love it, and the diver bezel makes timing things throughout the day super convenient

I've been noticing my "everyday watch" has been the last one I have bought, but this one is kinda nice. I have considered a Certina DS Podium that would fit in this category as well. Great video!
Certina is very overlooked. Thanks for watching!
Michael Fierman I do too. It’s nice to see folks appreciate the lesser known brands!

How much you paid for quartz version? What color? Now you got to pay for changing the battery too?
My everyday is a Tissot PRC200🥰 If this came in a 36mm, I’d no doubt snatch it.
About time someone did a review on this watch! I've been wearing mine for a while now and I have no complaints!
its a great watch i need to try to get my hands on one
Everyday watch switches between SKX 007, 009 and 013. Also SARB033. Great video as always. Very informative. I have the Tissot Seastar 1000 from 2009, runs around +5 seconds a day they make great watches.
My everyday watch is a seiko 5. These little monsters are tough as hell!
Anyways Teddy you should consider making a Valentine's special video about best watch to gift the ladies😜
Accuracy sucks tho
@@RandyWanat Thank you Randy, I will certainly look this model up.

The hour indexes remind me of Grand Seiko! Nowhere near as well finished, but it’s not bad!

I don't get the hype with grand seiko its not even that nice imo.
My everyday beater is the Tissot 1853 Powermatic 80 Day Date 39mm T055.430.11.057.00
which I received for Christmas from my girlfriend.
Perfect watch for the modest working man.
Thank you for review. Really nice watch. My personal daily watch choices are 1. Smith's Everest 36mm
2. Steinhart 39mm ocean one explorer dial.
Managed to pick up a good used Tissot V8 for £50, it's a great beater
Nice pickup to bang around. Thanks for watching Matt!
is it the one with green bezel ?
Just bought this watch yesterday, with the blue dial and bracelet. This is a really nice watch.
It looks like the Rolex Explorer or Oyster Perpetual. It's a nice alternative to them, for those of us who cant afford them. Nice!
What are your thoughts of it a year later? How is the strap holding up?
