This is exactly what happened to me after JEE preparation. When I was in school, going for coaching classes, I spent 10-13 hours a day studying even on weekends. This is coming through social media so the only way to reach people now is through these channels. Use social media but don't let it destroy you mentally. I guess the solution is to limit the time spent on the phone. However such measures would only work for a few days until we forget the benefits of staying away from the phone. But point taken that the phone leads to a lot of distraction.
This is so true and I think we lose most of our time checking out our phones or just panning over thoughts related to it. But, this is just the problem statement. It would have been great if you could also tell how did you go about changing your habit.
I permanently deleted my Facebook account in 2017 and life has been good. I always tell my kids that people dont hold their phones, the phones hold people. When I conduct time management workshops I notice that despite ATM, broadband, better roads, email etc people today still are short of time because they have included checking their phones as an important task.
In logical terms this is called Tech addiction. Read an article about it years ago and then I completely transformed myself in to a routine based person. It helped me a lot in terms of personality. I became the youngest (at 20) in my locality to get an MNC job. Happy. ❤️

Never get influenced by dodos such as these. These so-called over-achievers are the ones who are responsible for the high stress levels in society, leading to suicides and chronic depression. If you feel like studying, study. If you feel like having a career, have it. No hard and fast rule about what you should be doing and what you should be earning! If you are happy staring at a smartphone screen all day, chatting, browsing, watching movies(or porn), so be it!! You're happy and that is all that counts. Remember, you might be Bill Gates or a lifetime patient in a mental institute or a bohemian spendthrift - in the final analysis, all end up either in a graveyard or on a funeral pyre.

This is one of my the best video i have seen in youtube.I will start watching this video everyday to have intense focus and reduce phone usage sir.
Sir,
The 5 Problems you have shown, I'm facing all of them since first corona lockdown....so, please make a video on the solution of this problem....🙏
we think that entertainment is in these things like insta...games...drama..movies...youtube useless videos...but entertainment also can be find in our work that is usefull so we have to find our satisfaction in our work
I would here my story . I controlled all apps except RUclips but after few months , I realized that even after using this for study purpose , it wastes your time and imbalances your mind state 😓
same here....what to do

@@bhaskarpandey8448 it's not that simple , 🥲 👍. The problem we are discussing originates after deciding the priority 😉
Dude, isn’t there a option to like a video 100 times ! This is exactly what I face
Great work sir
Distraction is Equal to Death .
Very true . The way you explained the last point that we are absent from present moment and life goes on from of sec. Min. Hr. Day month . True sir .
I started using basic phone for 22 hrs in day. I open smartphone only for 1-2 hr . I found that my life is changing day by day . I will try to continue as long as possible for my mental piece and focus
. Thank you very much Rajan sir .
Well said. Totally relatable!

What you said is 100% true, excessive usage of smartphones for prolonged periods of time eventually destroys our entire system and strips down our identity. But sadly, we don't realise that it's killing us until enough damage has already been done.
This video is really informative! It was to convincing that while watching this video if felt that this video also distracted me from my work but I haven't stopped watching it because it is teaching me how to stay focus...
I've seen you somewhere not sure where

either you were stalking me on insta or you watched my physics lectures :D
I permanently deleted my Facebook account in 2017 and life has been good. I always tell my kids that people dont hold their phones, the phones hold people. When I conduct time management workshops I notice that despite ATM, broadband, better roads, email etc people today still are short of time because they have included checking their phones as an important task.
In logical terms this is called Tech addiction. Read an article about it years ago and then I completely transformed myself in to a routine based person. It helped me a lot in terms of personality. I became the youngest (at 20) in my locality to get an MNC job.
Happy. ❤️
MNC job is slavery u low class
Tcs Infosys is not MNC u badjaat
Very true sir. During my High School time, my Head Master(Principal) always used to say, "Don't use gadgets to do calculation. Don't let your brain stay idle. Make sure you calculate with your brain even if it is a large number. Make sure you read Books and learn things and languages." My Head Master was so right and my High School days were 1991-1993 the period. Rajan ji also very right.

So true sir . After getting phone I lost my life. I lost interest in everything. I always want to check phone. I am in a career break of 6 years. What can I do to come out of it? How can I get back my concentration and focusing for long hours? I am preparing for interviews
Yes sir, I noticed one thing that when I was using instagram frequently (During my JEE preperation), watching others' stories and post , I used to get annoyed very frequently, temper was very short , thought I was useless, had suicidal thoughts , not focused on my sheets and dpps stuffs ,having guilt every day etc.
Then I cut down only to youtube(only limited channels) and whatsapp(only to contact my parents), uninstalled quora, ig etc .
And now I feel much contended and happy.
Guys , this social media is a poison 😥
Thank you 🙏

I suffering from this right now.
I start watching my class then after 5 minutes later I open insta then WhatsApp then again open class.
Thanks sir for this video
5:05 you're right sir. This is what happened to me. I beleived that I was a loser because I got into the habit of procrastinating. Being a loser became my self identity.
Days, months and years are passing by quickly. I am scared and somewhere deep inside my mind, I know I can slow time if I feel truly present. Because when I was a kid, I never had a smartphone and days went very slow. It's because I used to be present.
Don't become the tool of your own tools.
You nailed Sir. I'm the example. I've noticed & realized after your speech. Please advice how to come out from this addiction . Thanks.
First step is to understand how the addiction works on You
Rajan did a great job in explaining the matter

My smartphone has literally helped me a lot a lot.
@@littlebitofthisandthat9042 I stare at the screen all day and guess what I'm not happy at all.
@@bishaldeep6155 I respect your choice man!
@@littlebitofthisandthat9042 it's not a choice, it's an addiction. Need to get rid of it.
@Dev raj Dev study iq, prayes epathshala, Gradeup:pcs &state exam, state pcs sampurna can help you for pcs preparation and having current affairs book in front will help you. Create an another account don't login primary. My attitude helped me to overcome distractions i talk to myself and often say i will do it now means now 😅 and exercise also helped me you you must try during exercise your body restricts you from getting out of comfort zone but you should not give up use the same energy in studies. This might be funny but write on your palm no excuses i have a wallpaper like this.
It brings overthinking in ourselves and also mental stress because we don't do what we actually need to do
One question can one at age 35 totally resurrect one's life after crashing out on all key areas of life? Please sir your thoughts on this how to approach major life debacles

Salute Sir. You are absolutely correct Sir. The smartphone does distract to our focus to do work or study.
Same here, now i have lost almost all concentration from my mind. I'm unable to concentrate on anything.
I am using youtube for several years and this is my first comment ever. i would like to say, one-word sir, "thank you".
You are absolutely right sir.... I also experienced the same thing with me while my exam preparation... But finally i left my all distraction... Now i enjoying my work with focus

Sir these 7 minutes will change my life i will promise you not to check any social media anymore
Thankyou Rajan Sir, every word you spoke in this video hits to the core of my heart. Having a mentor like you really helps us intellectual souls to strive for the better in this dynamic world.
This is what we call scientific and technological development and we need this to keep us distracted, walk with nature or run for wealth
True sir. I feel social media including sites like youtube have taken away our focus. We constantly scroll and waste our time. Social media has provided a chance to compare ourselves to others like never before therefore eroded our confidence.
