- Caillou is getting new episodes. Earlier this year, PBS announced that the series would no longer have reruns or exist in any form on the channel. Then, Cartoon Network's pre-school programming block Cartoonito got hold of it. And now, new episodes are on the way.
Caillou's new episodes are in the form of CG specials, which take on a new animation style separate from the original series. While it's interesting to see Caillou in a different way, he's still been a bad influence on his audience over the years. From banned episodes to constant controversies all the time, it's disappointing to see the series continue.

The thing I’m really mad about is that they’re not bringing back the puppet segments. Those sequences are what made the show worthwhile. Not only because they didn’t have Caillou in them, but they felt like an old Jim Henson project.
Yeah I liked those guys better than Calliou.
I only watched Caillou for the puppets and for the songs with the real life kids.
If only that was it's own show, I bet in an alternate universe, Caillou would have aired for 1 season but the Puppet skits and songs with the kids were successful enough to get a spin off without Caillou.

I watched a bit of this show as a little kid. I just remember it being really boring and only liking the art style of the borders they used.
I wish they put Blue’s Clues, Sesame Street (HD versions of Seasons 1-39), Arthur, Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood (along with Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood), Super Why on Cartoonito instead.
