Oh right, Upstart Goblin is a "Goblin" card, and while Goblin Rider can search Goblin monsters, I think you'd have to use Scrounging Goblin to actually search the generic Goblin Spell/Traps. Which isn't worth it.
Isolde is a card that should have been banned years ago. But yeah... there is no way Both Snatch and isolde would be legal in the same Banlist season so they just traded places :P
That and isolde basically made warrior decks a misery to play against since 1 normal summon can easily climb into an apo, a savage dragon and rusty bardiche and 2 backrow. In MD, it is even more miserable with colossus still playable, isolde with the PK and a bigger danger package makes it a misery to play against since they set up 2 pops with rusty, a droll and lock bird with colossus, 2 PK backrow negates, savage dragon plus handtraps, which is just unplayble going 2nd. So yeh isolde survived for too long, fuck that card
No, for 2 reasons 1: Snatch is going second only, no sane person searches it T1 2: If Isolde resolves completely uninterrupted going second, you were going to win anyways.
Is rikka really that problematic in the tcg? I didn't think it was that popular. Overall this is a pretty exciting banlist though. Wish they would have unbanned electrumite though
it isnt - it is only in europe and only because we have Jesse piloting it - the dryas hit is especially devastating because the big comboline is about two dryas - if you get negated you aim to get another dryas on board - now you cannot,
Genuinely the best list Konami has released in at least 4 years, honestly so refreshing to see when so many people had given up on Konami knowing how to use this thing at all. More of this, thank you
As much as i love harp being free and floodgates not, the annoying thing about this list is it seems to be trying to make everything more expensive. You cant make an argument for pure tear over horus, you now need diabellestarr for R-ace, the brand new, common, unchained card gets hit.
As a Labrynth player, I am honestly pumped to see the floodgates go to 1 and hopefully eventually get banned (this list should include Skill Drain but I'll take what I can get). Hopefully, it will dissuade bad and toxic players away from playing the deck and I can enjoy playing the deck the way that I always have.
lot of people seem to not realize that the mikanko ritual turns snatch steal into a non-targeting, loopable change of heart. while it won't have the same protection as reflection rondo, it is still incredibly abusable, and mikanko rivalry, while targeting, can strap it to an opponents monster from the deck.
@@Practitioner_of_Diogenes yes if used on its' own. Ohime does not activate it through it's equip effect though it just equips it to an appropriate monster on resolution. It's one of those "funny" rulings that make card interactions into a nightmare for the person who doesn't know not to play into it.
You know, a cool idea to making Gozen/Rivalry/Tcboo more interesting to play would be to take out their ability to "see into the future", as in, preventing you from summoning altogether. Say I have a warrior on board while TCBOO is up, I can now summon another warrior, but the moment it hits the field, TCBOO applies so I have to choose between the monster I summoned and the one already on the field. I think this change would actually add a lot of interesting counterplay outside of just... draw duster
It's not about the floodgates ability to "see into the future" It's a principle that is consistent with the logic of if you can't pay the cost or resolve an effect completely during activation, then it's an illegal move in the 1st place. So if you're trying to make an illegal play, you can't even attempt it even if it were to remove the materials and start fresh. It's the same idea with the ex of vanity's fiend vs kaiju slumber. Yes, if kaiju slumber was able to resolve, that would remove the vanity's fiend to work around that continuous effect of preventing special summons, but the problem with it is, you can't even attempt it if the entirety of the effect can't normally resolve. Unless Konami changes this ruling, gozen, tcbo, rivalry are consistent with what we have already.
@@Raz0rIG I know how the ruling works, but unlike the example with Vanity's, you can activate Slumber under TCBOO, Gozen or Rivalry, since Vanity's specifies what the player can't do, but the trio above says what each player "can" have, so in theory, it would make sense for it to only apply to monsters already on the field and not to cards that are tecnically hidden information. This is different from paying a cost since we're talking about cards that Overwrite a game mechanic instead of directly preventing an action from a player. The change I suggest would allow something akin to summoning a Mirrorjade by using a Mirrorjade on the field as material, which you clearly can't do with the current ruleset.
Limiting sunvine healer is a DIRECT hit to the optimal plant link combo. You summon 2 and resummon the first with the twin to proc your second jasmine. These hits are going to have massive implications for plant link.
If the card is badly designed, ban it. I don't care if it kills the deck it was originally printed for, they can just prin a new card. Isolde and Circular both deserve it. With that being said, I'd rather they ban these stupid floodgates instead of limiting it.
Judgment to 3 of course means very little RN, but hopefully its followed with some new cards for Proph/spellbooks, like we saw with Fire Kings. If we recieve such a grandiose makeover, i think its possible for judgement to be on top once again. I already run it in Runick/Spellbook and do quite well.
I'll still be on the copium that Infernoble is playable with just Angelica. she's the main reason the deck could full combo anyway and most likely the reason Konami thought it was now ok for Isolde to go since they basically printed a 2nd isolde that only works in noble knight decks.
... What OG Noble Knight deck going to run as a tuner? What use is Angelica in Noble Knight if it searches FIRE Warriors or searches cards that supports only Infernobles?
@@Practitioner_of_Diogenes you're talking as if you can't run infernobles with the OG Nobles knights. Also did you know Museum searches Camelot which literally searches any noble arms or ss artorigius from deck or gy. Think before you speak

No one would have said a damn thing had people making banlist predictions not harped on Isolde this cycle. Infernoble was just okay since DUNE and nothing about that was changing since Infernoble only scales with Warrior support and less with Fire attribute support. Now Warrior decks are basically unplayable and for what? Because people hate any niche card that says "send four bricks to the GY, summon a dude from deck"? Wow so fucking broken. I'm sure all those people who bought CR Isoldes and QCR Infernoble cores only to have the deck butt blasted into irrelevance feel like they got their money's worth.
Nobody is fucking talking about how brutal the sharvara to 1 hit is and it's so annoying. You literally go through 2-3 of that card in every unchained combo that aims to make caesar.
I mean the deck is just unplayable now. Your combo not only ends on significantly worse interaction, you also have to use yama if you want to make caesar/gryphon now, meaning the deck folds to literally any interaction on turn 2 as well. Its grind (the best part of the deck) is gone because you have no way into more traps other than your opponent eating glue and letting sarama stay out for multiple turns.
It seems like with this banlist they're trying to keep a more varied format going by slightly hitting the big decks, the circular hit though seems like they forgot they weren't writing up the master duel list
man that intro makes me happy that I will never ever stop using adblock... btw nobody can convince me that konami came up with the circular ban by themselves. top players with youtube channels have power now. basically josh and jesse can have a slight influence on future banlists

So yeh isolde survived for too long, fuck that card
No, for 2 reasons
1: Snatch is going second only, no sane person searches it T1
2: If Isolde resolves completely uninterrupted going second, you were going to win anyways.
Ok this is your best opening
Shoutout to all the Noble and Infernoble players who no longer exist.
At least Infernoble can function without Isolde...
Noble Knights, on the other hand... without Isolde is a janky mess.
Is rikka really that problematic in the tcg? I didn't think it was that popular. Overall this is a pretty exciting banlist though. Wish they would have unbanned electrumite though
It is in Europe
it isnt - it is only in europe and only because we have Jesse piloting it - the dryas hit is especially devastating because the big comboline is about two dryas - if you get negated you aim to get another dryas on board - now you cannot,
@@poro9084 Jessica Robinson, not Jesse Kotton. Two different people.
Genuinely the best list Konami has released in at least 4 years, honestly so refreshing to see when so many people had given up on Konami knowing how to use this thing at all. More of this, thank you
Ha! Now Belle of the Underworld is the only Isolde left standing
The plant hits are so funny omg XD
The hits will be meta defining which is good but scary sometimes because you never know what crazy combos the players will come up with.
Circular ban is crazy
Crazy good
Crazy biased lol
As much as i love harp being free and floodgates not, the annoying thing about this list is it seems to be trying to make everything more expensive. You cant make an argument for pure tear over horus, you now need diabellestarr for R-ace, the brand new, common, unchained card gets hit.
You should stop playing the same engine that has enabled every plant deck for the past 4 years, we need you to buy the new plant cards.
I was building my Rikka deck, just got my 3 copies of Jasmine and now this happens before I even finished getting all the cards, I hate my life
Jess won't let Rikka die
As a Labrynth player, I am honestly pumped to see the floodgates go to 1 and hopefully eventually get banned (this list should include Skill Drain but I'll take what I can get). Hopefully, it will dissuade bad and toxic players away from playing the deck and I can enjoy playing the deck the way that I always have.
lot of people seem to not realize that the mikanko ritual turns snatch steal into a non-targeting, loopable change of heart. while it won't have the same protection as reflection rondo, it is still incredibly abusable, and mikanko rivalry, while targeting, can strap it to an opponents monster from the deck.
... Snatch Steal target by the nature of the Equip Spell mechanics.
@@Practitioner_of_Diogenes yes if used on its' own. Ohime does not activate it through it's equip effect though it just equips it to an appropriate monster on resolution. It's one of those "funny" rulings that make card interactions into a nightmare for the person who doesn't know not to play into it.
Pank is especially good into SP board, u can just go battle and still have a pop
I think this change would actually add a lot of interesting counterplay outside of just... draw duster
I mean, almost every deck has a generic way to out continuous traps now, not to mention a lot of floodgates just don't do anything in varied formats
2:42 when you scare your little sister and your mom checks up on you
Limiting sunvine healer is a DIRECT hit to the optimal plant link combo. You summon 2 and resummon the first with the twin to proc your second jasmine. These hits are going to have massive implications for plant link.
As a Lightsworn and Dark World Player I see some interesting things coming up.
THEY GOT AGIDO!
Also Orcust is playable again, WORLD LEGACY Orcust can even consider running the World Chalice bricks for fun now if it wants to.
If the card is badly designed, ban it. I don't care if it kills the deck it was originally printed for, they can just prin a new card. Isolde and Circular both deserve it.
With that being said, I'd rather they ban these stupid floodgates instead of limiting it.
100% agree
That would be fine approach if it was applied to everything else, especially stronger and/or splashable stuff.
This ban list is interesting
Devastated to see Isolde go. Genuinely sad.
That limited section is crazy though.
Everything being said, my brave Salamangreat deck went untouched
ib made me so happy, havent played yugioh in a few months, just bored. but I have so a huge love for world chalice
New mbt video 🎉🎉🎉
are we going to ignore the mikanko acid golem combo?
Judgment to 3 of course means very little RN, but hopefully its followed with some new cards for Proph/spellbooks, like we saw with Fire Kings.
If we recieve such a grandiose makeover, i think its possible for judgement to be on top once again. I already run it in Runick/Spellbook and do quite well.
I hope I'm not the only one who read this title in Long John Baldry's Dr. Robotnik voice.
@@Gilgamesh-em6ru And you're going to tell me that the Infernobles can search Noble Knights instead of FIRE Warriors and that having to run Round Table is actually a good thing because it "foolish burials" monsters with no GY effects or special summoning a vanilla in an archetype filled to the brim with effect monsters that don't center around said vanilla is game breaking...
I play both archetypes. Think before YOU speak.
Hell, Round Table can't even Foolish because you can't even get the three Noble Knights required for it anymore...
The reason why aromaseraphy jasmine wasn’t hit is because aroma support is coming out.
The disparity between the reaction to Zoo being back (kinda mid but w/e) and IB being back (actually a big deal) is the reason I love my funny youtuber.
It's time for another masochist banlist tournament buddy. Please make it happen man. It's my favorite content of yours. It's the main series that puts you in my top 3 RUclipsrs on the Internet.
"And clicked on the ads!" Haha adblocker go brrrrr
Typical Komoni. Killing Rescue-Ace even though it's completely fair if you're not on Diabellestar. In fact, this actively forces you to buy Diabellestar if you want to play Rescue-Ace at all because Isolde was a backbone of Rescue-Ace without Diabellestar. So it's double screw you.
They want Diabellestar to be Tier 0 and $1,000 to sell more packs.
Rip infernoble, gouki and other warrior decks but ppl hate Isolde with a passion😂.
Also this banlist has Schmidt written all over it😂
Six Sam had 2 1card FTKs, one of which is un-nibiruable and both can play through 1-2 *other* hand traps depending on what they are, and a ton of 2-card FTKs.
And now it's literally unplayable.
@@OMIMoxhasn't six Sam been rogue for ages tho. I remember it being tier 0 at one point but a more accurate reason for isolde's ban would probably be the exodia ftk stuff alongside infernoble having multi negate end boards
@@okita_souji_alter six sam's has infinite summons and recursion, and have had an Exodia FTK since 2021 and with rescue hedgehog it's a 1cardftk and plays through nibiru+1HT. I don't ever have to stop summoning. Or I didn't, before today. Now it's literally deceased. But yes, the real reason is cuz Infernobles are in the spotlight.
@@rafflez8961 unchained and superheavy were on Konami's radar, found the reason to destroy them by giving them support..
"I think Mannadium exists" is a brave statement
It seems like with this banlist they're trying to keep a more varied format going by slightly hitting the big decks, the circular hit though seems like they forgot they weren't writing up the master duel list
This is such a Joshua Schmidt list it hurts. Rikka Avalon did not deserve the hits nor did Infernoble. Hope next list all of Runick it hit
Imagine playing upstart activating it and getting drolled XD
Konami basically went “heard yall bitching about that last banlist being small, so here’s a massive one”
Circular my cyverse husband being banned is sad, but Redox is handsome and means EARTH MACHINE TIER ZERO BABY
EARTH? Redox and Lithosagym in the same Deck? 🤔
Your reactions are so entertaining 😂 love it
Gotta say, it's actually a decent banlist for the most part. I think Konami did a pretty good job.
Far from perfect, decent just barely
@@TheLuthorri I guess. They've had much worse banlists in the past so my expectations are always set very low 😂
Although this list is heart breaking, that cry of pain at the beginning makes it so much better.
I can’t believe they unbanned stanch steel
Graydles with Mind con Change of Heart and snatch steal were so back baby (leave me in my Copium)
Chaos Ruler initially and now Kelbek/Agido?? Konami really hates Skull Servants
Konami looked at the current format being healthy and said “aight. Let’s spice this shit up”
I’m convinced someone at Konami HQ just has a hard on for playing One Bad Day and intervenes everytime the ban list team tries to ban the floodgates.
man that intro makes me happy that I will never ever stop using adblock...
btw nobody can convince me that konami came up with the circular ban by themselves. top players with youtube channels have power now. basically josh and jesse can have a slight influence on future banlists
This is actually disastrous for sunavalon, oh no
The secret price for winning the Bologna YCS was making the holydays ban list
As a person playing a dumbass United Noble Knight's deck, I'm sad to see Isolde gone, I think it should be Errata'd to require two Noble Knights.
That or require her mill-cost to be Noble Arms only.
Snatch steal will literally bring adventure back into being a real deck that’s exciting
People still so wrong about the semi limited list lmao
I get the argument that upstart could have been a handtrap, but considering that the ideal hand is start + defense + 2 handtrap, there is still an argument that in a hand lacking one of those peice, upstart could become one.
Upstart can't become one when you're going 2nd. That's a big deal.
@@TheCardTrooper Very true, it really comes down to going first focus or second focus. I could see an argument for running it depending on the deck you’re are play, especially how much non engine space you have.
I had heard that Destiny Hero Malicious was the poster child for why the semi-limited list was needed
Everything touches the banlist but the deck that just won the YCS. Now i have to mentally prepare myself for watching half my deck being banished
Time to maindeck imperial iron wall or whatever that continuous trap is called lol. Or metaphys/fenrir control copium. Bird up.
@@thestormtrooperwhocanaim496The new Bird Up is Fire Brigade. 🔥
2:12 the reaction you came looking for 4:35 this one is also good
The scream was everything 😂.
I've just accepted that Konami regrets giving Cyberse any hope and banned Circular with malicious intent
I do not play Mathmech, but how much would it matter if everything was set to unlimited but Superfactorial was banned?
