Yeah I'm really worried about this especially when it comes to those groups of people online that just witch hunt people they don't like and collectively flag a video because it made them "feel bad". It's also difficult for creators that don't have a network or any connections to even be able to get a false strike removed.

Be careful with live streaming on LME. Alex Jones channel was taken down because of that. They said he was breaking the rules by streaming on another channel live while he was dealing with his strikes on his main channel.

For me, I also don't believe in most things being taken down, rather I am a strong believer in trigger warnings. This way the person going in KNOWS what they are about to see and can decide NOT to watch it so they can stay mentally safe without FORCING other people to not watch it. I know the internet LOVES to make fun of "being triggered" but it's heartless and cruel to not consider other people's trauma and experiences, and you can't assume everyone is making it up for attention. As long as people have a vague idea of what they are getting into, I believe that most things, ESPECIALLY art forms and media literacy critiques, deserve to stay up and not have their creators punished harshley.

Thank you for doing this video. I lost faith in RUclips today. They have discriminated against my channel twice. I am in the slot channel community on RUclips. There are more than 50+ such channels. Yet they took away my 55,000+ viewed slot video today. It's a typical video of me playing slots like most slot channel videos. Now they are saying that I have a strike. WHY? They said I violated the community rules and that the video was dangerous and harmful or perhaps I was selling, such as an online casino, etc. It's all non-sense. I don't sell anything. I show myself playing slots like the other RUclips channels. Three questions arise: 1. Why not take down all slot channel videos in the entire community and shutdown that sector on RUclips? 2. How do the monetized channels in the slot community not only show live action and "Live" streams playing slots in casinos but also openly sell memberships, merchandise and cruises in their videos almost daily on RUclips? 3. Why disrupt my channel after over a year (that video had been there since Dec 18, 2018) now that I'm close to monetization?? These are the other questions RUclips needs to address in their openly discriminatory practices. BTW, yes I am a BLACK WOMAN who has noticed how discriminatory RUclips has become in 2019. Well, I will not be silent about RUclips in 2020. They have my full attention.
Man just cause this shit pisses me off when RUclips strikes down good channels I’m gonna donate to your patreon. (And if you could tell your long lost animated brother over at LME to make one as well I will happily donate there as well)

See, this is why I'm scared to try doing what I want to do on RUclips sometimes. I've wanted to do movie reviews or Nostalgia Critic-style videos where I critique a film, but I'm scared that a copyright team will take one down, but not the other. Copyright is a great thing, but then, some third-party company might pull it down because they don't other people talking about their work(s). Speaking of Nostalgia Critic, remember his thing: "Where's the Fair Use?" or #WTFU?

I think this video reveals a misunderstanding about who is actually moderating the content. I don't know about whether RUclips outsources the labor for content moderators, but most social media companies do, for example Facebook: www.wired.com/2014/10/content-moderation/

It really has more to do with the way you are wording your opinion that I think is confusing me a little bit. I am used to everyone claiming to be for free speech, but then claiming we shouldn't allow crazy people to talk.
I want to know if you would be for the censorship of speech under any circumstance. If we could somehow perfectly prevent those crazy conspiracy theorists from posting on youtube, without affecting other peoples uploads, then would you be for that? I know it is likely an impossible scenario, but I just want to further understand how you feel about free speech. People don't often even agree on what the term free speech means, so it makes things a little more complicated.
