Star Wars: Episode 3 Revenge of The Sith video game alternate ending! Anakin survives the high ground, kills Obi-Wan Kenobi and then kills the Emperor to rule the galaxy! So awesome. This game was for PS2 and Xbox.

I love how this game included this "what if" and makes it super awesome.
Quick story…
When I was 10 years old my dad bought me this game. It had released 10 days before the movie came out, and of course I crushed it before seeing the film. The following week, when I saw the movie in theatres, I fully expected to see this ending since the game had followed the scenes flawlessly up until that point. But when Obi Wan defeated Anakin it absolutely blew my 10 year old mind. It was the twist of the century and it was perfectly executed. I felt like it was intentional for those kids, like myself, who wanted to see what happened before the rest of the world.
Nearly 20 years later I still think about this at least once every two weeks. Masterpiece.

You must’ve noticed that you played as Obi Wan first and defeat Anakin, then the next level unlocks and you play as Anakin and defeat Obi Wan.
That is, if we played the same version. Love your story though man I loved seeing this in theaters as a kid too

In this storyline I can’t see the skywalkers redemption, maybe their mother can prob do something about that or maybe Leia with the help of yoda and obi wan. But I can’t see them winning, Anakin and Luke would be too much for them to handle, they’d prob need something like a max potential StarKiller and his clones or something like that to be able to stop both Skywalkers lmao.

@@gamepad3173 and the crazy thing is, luke and leia would be in Vader's hands. He would probably train them as his apprentices. The only jedi that would ever be left would be ezra, Yoda, ashoka (she also counts) and the rebellion would probably get crushed as you said, the empire and vader would rule the galaxy. Until, ahsoka or he himself sences the conflict in him.

If you think about it since Anakin isn't in his suit or has the prosthetics he is basically the most powerful jedi/sith in the galaxy, meaning he's at his full power
He still had much to learn at that point... his potential was never fully realized.
At this point he wouldn't have yet achieved his peak. Would still be stronger than Sidious, though.
@@Gabu_ He shouldn't have been stronger than Sidious at this point but give him another couple of years. He'd be more powerful than Sidious by then. And by the age of 30, he would have been as powerful as Grandmaster Luke Skywalker. By the age of 50, he'd have reached his full potential and been as powerful as The Father.
He’s got some room to fully grow into his power. Hell, even OT Vader is stronger than him at this point. But if he hadn’t been injured, he would have eventually grown to surpass OT Vader

Yeah, I mean for one thing, the empire would probably be just slightly less malevolent, Luke and Leia probably would've been raised as Sith, the Death Star may not have been built since Vader didn't really like the idea, just saw it as a waste of resources (and he was kinda right), the empire would've continued using clones instead of Stormtroopers, since Palpatine was the one who shut down the cloning facility on Kamino, there are a lot of interesting possibilities.

@@nachonaitor5535 You have to play as Anakin in the final stage instead of Obi-Wan. Playing as Obi-Wan gets you the normal ending, playing as Anakin gets you this one.

Had Obi Wan done that the rebels would have had a much easier time since no replacement apprentice could be as powerful as Anakin.
@@neitherlink6612 a completely intact Vader with Padme and his children would’ve been a lot less malevolent than how the Empire actually was. I imagine it wouldn’t have been much more oppressive than the Republic.

@@neitherlink6612 I think that for the sake of her children she would only stay with anakin so she could convince him to turn to the light again, and I think that Anakin actually would bc palpatine would be gone so he wouldn't be able to be manipulated and padme is alive and saving her was the whole reason he turned. He'll realize he never needed the dark side powers to save her bc the vision he had of her dying in childbirth only occurred because of him losing to obi-wan and getting burned alive and not seeing padme before she died of a broken heart. In this scenario, when he wins and kills both palpatine and obi-wan he will most likely go check on padme who will be relieved to see him and like luke she will still believe there is good in him so she won't give up on him and will still have the will live.
@@mish2637 maybe, but sadly, Padme isn’t cunning enough to swallow her ideals in a few, key situations, to wait for the perfect time to influence Anakin back to the light side. She would see something she regards as an injustice and shout at the top of her lungs, and when Anakin doesn’t give in to her complaints, she would alienate and criticize him, telling him how “the man she loved is dead” and many more things like this that simply don’t help the situation at all.
I love how they made a model and textures for Sidious just for this scene (it isn't seen anywhere else in the game) but they didn't bother to make textures for the Shock Troopers and instead re-used the textures for the 212th Battalion.
Notice how in revenge of the sith he says you underestimate my power and loses but in this version he says you underestimate the power of the Dark Side and wins
This made me realize how cool it would be for Star Wars to get a What If show like Marvel.
that would be a god tier idea lmao. they should do one where jar jar binks is supreme sith ruler. and another one where anakin kills the emperor and the jedi live on.
They did something like it in Dark Horse comics called ‘Infinities’ where they altered a single event in the classic films and new futures come to be. For A New Hope it was if the torpedoes detonated prematurely. For Empire it was Luke dying on Hoth. And for Jedi it was where Jabba swatted 3PO so hard he didn’t get up to keep translating for him.
They did that with the "sequels", and look how that turned out.

Underrated game. At the time, its multiplayer was basically the best Star Wars fighting game in existence. It might still be.

That alternate ending was so harrowing when I saw it for the first time. I actually thought it was gonna end the same way as the original Lego Star Wars game. You know, where no matter if you played as Obi-Wan or Anakin, it would always end with Obi-Wan dismembering Anakin, and leaving him to die on Mustafar.

I love how Obi-Wan, a Jedi Master who has been training and perfecting the art of defense and capitalizing on opponent’s mistakes for like 13 years at this point just goofly mistimes and misses his saber swing.
Well, if Anakin hadn't been so blinded by the rage, this is how the battle would have ended originally. Obi-Wan was powerful, yeah, but there was no way he could actually beat an Anakin full concentrated.

Ok but real talk, could you imagine how different the galaxy would be after this outcome? The thought of a non-disfigured Darth Vader ruling the galaxy, raising Luke and Leia while training them in the ways of the Dark Side sounds awesome but also terrifying.

Why the Darkside tho? I'd imagine Anakin would just let go of the Sith and Jedi ideologies and just do his own stuff

There is something painfully sad about how callous Anakin is towards Obi Wan in this scene.
When Obi Wan wins. He doesn't smile or show joy. He is destroyed. Ripped apart by the tragedy of it all. He can only think to say how much he had loved Anakin. How hurt he is by all of this. He remembers their entire relationship as it was.
Here though? Anakin's feelings are dark and hateful. He sees Obi Wan now as truly less than trash. He spares no words. Just a triumphant and arrogant smirk, and a kick into the lava. It's as if Anakin never knew Obi Wan at all.
If this happened, Vader wouldn’t have needed his iconic suit.

Remember playing this mission just thinking it would be from Anakin's perspective and would end the same. I felt evil after this cutscene.

That would be cool. Especially considering all the characters added since this game (Akosha Tano would be training Luke, as she was revealed to be alive in Rebels, and hopefully, Palpatine stays dead in this timeline instead of finding a way to stay alive like in Episode IX).

Anakin building up a Sith empire starting with his children would be great, until they realised family means nothing when in the grip of the dark side and they all just killed each other for the role of top dog.
I got this ending on my first playthrough, and this is my favorite multi-verse version of Darth Vader.

I remember playing this back then, this was a gem, I loved to use Anakin he had some nasty moves
Too bad unlocking all of the moves in single player was borderline impossible. At least it was for me when I did. Some levels were just too tough to get enough combo XP.
When I unlocked the secret fight where you unlocked darth vader and ben kenobi it was fantastic

I see people mentioning how the clones are all so chill with Palpatine's death, but I imagine they wouldn't really have much of an issue of serving Anakin over Palpatine due to how Skywalker was such a huge war hero, and basically the poster boy for the Clone Wars, compared to the political leader that was Chancellor Palpatine.
This way, it's someone who really understands them that is taking control, rather than a cold and detached old man.

Actually coming from a guy that has played almost every Star Wars game, Jedi Fallen Order has a couple missions that were really hard, i had to come to youtube sometimes cuz i got lost
