    You did a great job on the video. Your explanations and instructions are very easily understood and you had the camera close enough for me to see clearly. I also love how when you either fast forward or go backwards that where I am in the video shows on the screen. That is so helpful. You did one of the best videos I have ever watched especially since I am completely self taught through RUclips videos. Thank you for being so considerate of the people who are watching your videos. I wish all of the RUclips Crocheting videos were as easy to follow and understand as yours. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful patterns with us and thank you for these awesome videos you make... not everyone shows the steps as clear as you... I’ve never followed anyone else as easily as I have you! I started to panic over the corkscrew stitch but you show every step so close & clearly that I picked it up in no time .... that says a lot!! lol

    • @chaysiecrochet
      @chaysiecrochet  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Penny! I'm so sorry to hear!! I've made 3 of these already this winter and it flows so quickly and works up pretty soft with the yarn/hook I'm using so I'm really not sure =(
      I have to also follow my patterns when I first go back to them after a bit, and I'm not finding any mistakes in it. I wish I could help more, but this one I feel is actually one of my simpler & quicker hats to work up... for me anyhow.
      I hate not having any tips on one of my patterns when someone is struggling with it, but all I can really say is make sure not to tense up at all on this stitch, make DOUBLE sure you are not being too tight, (I know you said you weren't) but this is really the only area that I can think of that would make this hat more difficult. Sending positive vibes your way Penny!!!

    Good morning Colleen, hope the new year have started of well for you and your family, and I do hope the remaining will be even more successful. I live in Trinidad and Tobago, Tobago to be exact, but I find it very difficult to find crochet hooks and those beautiful colours of yarn. I have limited hooks and yarns which is of very cheap products. I wonder if you will be of any assistance in acquiring my tools in order to do some of those beautiful projects. I know of there are a lot of wool shops in England, but I no longer live there which is a shame now that I am interested in crocheting at the age of 65years.

    I think it was fine. Anyone with knowledge of crochet basics should get this and any woman should realize life has distractions. I've seen tutorials made out to become so much more difficult than necessary. If all someone know how to do is chain stitch maybe hats just aren't yet on the menu. I loved it and I only hope if done in a blue fleck a guy can wear it in Montana cold weather.

    • @chaysiecrochet
      @chaysiecrochet  5 лет назад

      @@pennywallace6991 make sure when you pull through all of the loops that you are veering a bit off to the right. The loops are somewhat twisted after pulling up through the front loop. Just make sure not to try too hard, it really does get very easy after the first few times of working the stitch. Slow and methodical to start, and after a bit, you will naturally start gliding through the loops. I promise it gets much quicker!

      Hi Jennifer! I used one method to make one pom pom and an actual pom pom maker to make the other. You can check out my video on making your own pom poms with your hands, but in place of your hands for this size, I cut a piece of cardboard approx 6" in size and wrapped a lot of yarn around. I finished it off using the same ending as the video to make it a pom pom that would not pull apart. If you are using the Lion Brand Hometown USA, it is really easy to make this fun fluffy pom pom and not as much yarn as some others because it is a chunkier yarn. Just make sure to wrap several times until it is bulging pretty good, if you aren't sure if you've wrapped quite enough... wrap a few more times around. ;D

      Oh... and never a bother Jennifer! Sorry... forgot to post my pom pom video.. but again, I did use a 6" piece of cardboard to wrap in place of my hand for this one and then used the method in the video to make it a pom pom that wouldn't fall apart =) ruclips.net/video/tCyTc3BVBVo/видео.html

      After tying the 2 strands around your pom pom to hold the center of the pom pom together, leave those strands a little longer, weave them through the top of the hat and secure them in place. Let me know if you have any other issues... I'm afraid things are a little hectic here with my husband in the hospital, but if I have a moment I will try to throw a quick vid together for you.

    It would be much more helpful if you would repeat the description of the stitch a few more times instead of stitching in silence. It's hard to follow visually when you're trying to do the stitch yourself at the same time.

      Jennifer Christianson I'm so sorry that it got confusing, I thought I had done my best to slow it down a few times in order to really explain the stitches and I do offer the repeat rows in the description area, but if you are still in need of help in any area at all, please feel free to email me at yarnwars@gmail.com. 😊
