Love your design! Could you start the MB with a magic ring? Using sc, the same # as chain & only bringing the 1st & last stitches together, only as needed to bring them together. Then tighten as needed to fit your head/hair. I have fine blonde hair, so my buns are much smaller than what you describe your to be. (I get jealous of thick ponytails!) The circle looks like it would also sit too low on my small head, so I think adjusting will be a necessity for me.
Another wonderful pattern. My hat off to you. I made 3 of the Stormy Waters Beanie. I will be making many of this one also. Chemo patients are going to love them.
Colleen, I love your videos, you make crocheting very easy. I am a handicapped man who was taught how to crochet when I was in a cripple children's hospital at a very young age. I have never forgot how to crochet and I now make beanies for people going through chemo therapy for free. Could you please post more beanie patterns on your site, I love following you because you make crocheting easy. Thanks a lot.
Tim, you are the sweetest! Thank you so much for your comment and feedback ❤ I really appreciate what you do and I am about to get busy again with patterns. I promise more beanies 😊 those and scarves are my favorites. Covid has been a bit of a setback with work and life, but that is about to change. Thanks again❤
Hi Colleen!! I LOVE this stitch pattern and working with Lion Brand Landscapes and Red Heart Unforgettable yarns. I am still crocheting your stormy waters hats as everyone is asking for one. I am excited to make this ramblin rose crochet beanie. Thank you so much for everything and I don't mind listening to you :).
Love you’re explanations! Light seems fine for me! Thank you for taking the time you do. I also understand how to enlarge and decrease!! 😃 had some trouble with that and how and which stitch to close with! You cleared that up so clearly! Thank, thank you!
I also love Unforgettable and Landscapes I just love the feel of the wool and the colours never disappoint. I am so glad your channel was referred to me by the Canadian Crocheter so I am going to have fun making your scarves and hats. I am from South Africa and am going to make a lot of beanies as we are going into our Winter period.
Hello Ann! Thanks so much for checking out my channel! Also thanks for letting me know on the Canadian Crocheter! That was so nice of her =) I really hope you enjoy the pattern and oh yes...Unforgettable... still to this day one of my favs! ♥
Colleen I followed your pattern for the hat. I used a6mm and it was very big on me, what I did was do the clusters then I decreased every other stitch, so my hat looks entirely different than yours does. I love the way my hat looks like on me. Sort of looks like a tam., but tight around my face
I love your Stormy Waters hat...made two in one day so easy and beautiful. The hats are for under privilege kids in our area. However, their beauty is challenging my generosity, as it is so hard to give away something you love. What a fantastic practise in letting go. Today's project is this new pattern and hope to make two today. Christmas is fast approaching. Have a great holiday and thanks you for generosity with these amazing hat patterns.
Hey everyone! I really hope you enjoy this pattern! Make sure to look up in the comments for more information, I've included starting points for each of the hat versions just in case you don't want to listen to my chit chat... lol. I'm sorry, I can't help it! =) Written pattern link available also in the description of the video. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask in the comments below, please subscribe for future fun, free patterns! Happy yArNiNg!!
Beautiful pattern, with lots of great options, and looks very cute on you. You do very nice work and have good eye for color. I keep looking at that Rustic Romantic in Hobby Lobby; but haven't worked with it yet. Thank you for using it! p.s. I enjoy your chit chat. :) Helene

I would think so, it might be kind of a messy hat though, you'd have to carry a longer tail on it 🙃

That's wonderful Ruth Ann ❤ Love to hear this. Thank you for your comment 😊

You are so sweet Linda ♥ Thank you for this comment ♥
I am curious about the yarn you got from Dollar Tree...did it have any discolorations or a lot of tied ends in the skein?
Your colors are so pretty
Thank you Linda! I found so many different types of yarn through recent sales that I've never worked with before... Having a bit too much fun!! ♥
