Can you do one of the 80s?
Wicker man and many overlooked Folk Horrors led the way to Midsommar. Slow creeps!
U seen "Valerie and her weeks of wonders" one of the best surreal yet artistic film i've ever seen, it's a bit disturbing, confusing and deals with an interesting permise as well... kinda like a fairy tale told by devil
If I had to break horror films into separate decades then the 1970's, for me, was the era that feels the most visceral and captivating.
Don't Look Now.... is another underrated & unforgettable movie.
Alien is on my top films of all time for sure. A masterpiece.
Alien as my favorite movie ever. I got to see it on the big screen for a 40th anniversary event, and it really was a movie made for the big screen. The fact it is still seen as a standard for cinema more than 4 decades later shows how ahead of the game it was when it came out.
Great you gave a mention to Invasion of the body snatches. It's my favorite movie 1978.
I'm loving this series. I believe that shot of Father Merrin, standing under the street lamp in 'The Exorcist', is the best still, ever. I remember seeing 'The Exorcist' in a theater when it was first released - there was a huge line. And, it scared us all silly. :) All three of these films were shocking and surprising in ways I had never seen, and I believe all three stand up as 'classics' in the field of horror. Thanks!
The 70s was a seminal time for horror. Some incredible films, moments. Always to be admired, respected & cherished. Long live horror!!!
80’s is gonna be tubular!
When Phone autocorrects Alien to Allen
I've really enjoyed this series. Thank you 😊
kinda cool to see the face behind the voice
The Wicker Man always gives me chills!! There is something about it (probably the photography) that makes me feel super uneasy! I don't think I will ever watch it. >__
70s horrors walked so films like Ti West’s X could run. Loving this series! Can’t wait to see what we get for the 80s vid.
Good timing, I just finished watching Alien about 10 minutes ago
when I was a kid my family was watching The Exorcist and they wouldn't let me watch it
now I am really thankful that they did that, I've heard a lot of people say it's probably the best Horror Movie ever made, if not, it's one of the very best.
Halloween, Jaws, and Alien are my favorite horror movies from the 70's
Great list I love it ❤️❤️
Sorta surprised no Texas Chainsaw massacre but being it was similar to Halloween I get why
Guy looks down on community that ritually sacrifices children? The horror!
I hope more videos are coming. 😄
Pretty light on the analytical aspects of the movies in this video. I always thought of the Alien movie as a haunted house movie where the cast is terrorized by what resides in the house and they must get out to survive, however in Alien, you cant leave.
Alien is the best monster horror film ever made
I don't think you have to tell your viewers that the protagonist in the Wicker man comes to a bad end. You can talk about the show without giving spoilers.
I stopped watching when he did that.
Hey loving your videos so far, just thought I'd recommend a couple playlists you create for your channel to improve watch time! You have a series of videos covering different genres, that should be a playlist! You have a series of videos of genre recommendations... playlist! It helps people watch more of your content that they like, and can give them longer watch sessions on your videos. I would've commented this on your latest video but the comments are off. I'm a learning addict so I'm willing to peruse the channel of someone who's made a video I like, searching for similar content, but there are many lazy people who won't do that.
Hey thanks! I will try out👍
Not the biggest fan of horror movies, more into sci-fi and that is why Alien is bonkers!
Comments are disabled on your latest video. Happens to me aswell everytime I feature horror movies with kids.
Hey what's wrong with your latest upload, why is the comments section turned off ?
One of the movies we talk about features kids so RUclips automatically takes out the comment section
Do you ever plan on making a video about Avalon (2001) by Mamoru Oshii? The visuals, the music, theme, setting, the premise and the mystery... This is very old but if you somehow missed Avalon this will get you hooked on it. ruclips.net/video/LYg-A8x-y74/видео.html
No 80s video so far?
Midosmmar is a wicker man rip off
first
1:42 "He's an unlikable character" I found him very likeable. "He belittles other people's views" well, when people's views are "we should sacrifice people to pagan deity for bountiful harvest" it would be unlikable of him to respect that. Where are your values people? You rather like creepy cult phony kindness than stern voice of reason and morality?
