This game is truly horrifying. Scarier than all the fnaf games. This made me jump so hard, even when I knew it was coming. Unlike the mainstream five nights at Freddy's, which don't get me wrong, were scary, but this was entirely different
I’d say this game is horrifying, and the fnaf games (more so the 1st & 4th) are terrifying.
This felt like when fnaf first ever came out, at the time we didn't know what to expect and got jumpscared pretty hard. The only ones that felt close was fnaf 4, fnaf vr, and maybe sister location
But the og games were more unique
My ranking of top 3 FNAF games (plus TJOC) in scariness
1. TJOC (Interchangeable) I remember I sh** bricks every single time I got jumpscared. Thats how a horror game is supposed to be lol
2. FNAF 4 (Interchangeable with 1)
3. FNAF Help wanted. Just seeing these people all up in my face made me want to cry
This game actually showed the true potential for a scary ass jumpscare that's why. Fnaf just started doing them first.

Yea, I thought SB was gonna be a lot scarier, but it was a disappointment, All the jumpscares have the same audio cue, which makes it less scary IMO, They give us a warning too when we're on their sight which takes the surprise away.

i guess that's what happens when big studios take control of a series. i seriously doubt scott had the same level of control over the production of security breach as he did at the beginning when it was just him and a couple of other people working on the og FNAF.
i feel like security breach has a ton of potential, but even before it was released, scott's passion for the series _really_ dwindled. i don't blame him after he got pigeonholed into the series, lol. i'd start losing interest too, even if it was something i loved

Both games in their own regards are good, hell the joy of creation even in full release still had a few bugs, but it’s harder to excuse the bugs in security breach for people because it was meant to be this big game
Sadly got rushed and the dev team has said numerous times that what we got isn’t what it could be and the amount of cut content, cut areas, and buggy animatronic interactions is just what sores the game.
Ps. In my own opinion, both games achieve their work all in different ways.

And yeah the games rough around the edges but as someone learning the world of game development I realize how being rushed makes you cut corners and for big companies where the little people as in the devs get shoveled under the way just for an earlier release to make Christmas sales. It’s a sad way for a game to end up especially one with as much hype for me personally as Security Breach
The sound design for the walking/running of the anamatronics is just absolutley amazing, it carries so much weight to it and so much speed in the run. Very nice

fnaf 6 did a good job, i used to cheat and keep the volume down to rob the jumpscares of their intensity. well that doesnt work in 6 without hearing very clearly you cannot even play. in 4 i just put my ear up to the phone speaker when i checked for breathing lol.
5:48 was the best start off to a scare I've ever seen because the way the light/Freddy's eyes move shows that he saw the character and did a double take to clarify what it saw before giving chase. Very very neat.
what’s even more scary is that you can’t even see who or what it is you just see a bright light getting closer to you like a car.

That moment of realization where Freddy pauses as he sees him before he rushes forward, the light bouncing up and down, was such a great moment.
It was so well done and honestly my favorite kind of scare: you both freeze when you see each other and think, "Maybe he didn't see me..." but you see the light of it's eyes bounces up, showing how fast it's moving before you hear it is such a good way to spike tension and scare the player.

7 years later, and I still think this is the most terrifying chase I've seen in any horror game.
The buildup definitely makes it scary, you think he doesn't see you, but you wait for a bit, the light gets closer and closer, and you hear some loud ass footsteps coming towards you

The Joy of Creation is one of the lines Golden Freddy says when he is making those jumbled up sounds, and if you reverse it and slow it down. you can make out a few full sentences ie the joy of creation.
