I'll tell you why; for anyone who plans on playing this still that doesn't know: when the objective fails (you run out of time) the Animatronic stalking you becomes aware of your position. There is no escaping them because once the time runs out, they turn immediately to head for you and will continuously chase you until they get you. Of course, they won't dash for you until they actually see you, but considering the fact they keep following you, that won't be too long unless you can really dodge them.

That's because jumpscares are a terrible form of horror. They aren't scary and we only 'jump' because of reflexes. Not knowing WHEN you're going to get jumpscared, or not being able to see the thing scaring you but being able to hear it is a much better way of being scary because of suspense.

This game perfectly captures the feeling of a nightmare. There's something stalking you. You can hear it coming and it WILL catch you. You can't run and you can barely hide. And when it sees you you hear the blood-curdling sound of it's stomps, growing louder and faster as it approaches until it crescendos in it's terrifying roar and you can almost feel it's fist colliding into your neck.
