Hey Mark here's how to play it.
Freddy and Bonnie have the same mechanics. When they are close to the door, go to the couch and press W to hide, they'll search around and when they leave you can resume.
Foxy is simple. Flash him and he'll go away. Pretty sure you worked that one out.
Chica turns of the light and makes the screen static. When this occurs, turn the light back on and you should be right.

you can tell that its freddy from the eyes and jumpscare sound, if you look at the normal story mode, you can tell what freddy and foxy sound like when they jumpscare you. Plus, freddyhas white eyes, while foxy has red.

Markiplier. Heres some instructions for TJOC: Story Mode.
Chica: She can be seen through the television. She tampers with the lights, so she can get closer to you.
Foxy: He is behind the double doors, directly behind you. Like all original Five Nights at Freddy's games, flash him with the flashlight.
Bonnie: He is behind the door, on the left side of you. He will slowly make his way closer to the door to get you.
Freddy: He works exactly like bonnie.
Hiding behind the chair: When you hide in the front of the chair you face Foxy (the double doors). This is the action you do when Freddy/Bonnie is closest to the doors. You will know they are there, because when you hide, the will walk out into the living room and try to find you.
The eye you see on Bonnie's side, is in fact, the puppet.
Exactly! But if you paused when the double doors open on the jumpscare, you are not foxy but in fact the puppet looking at you before foxy is launched at you!

I can agree with this. It doesn't seem like there's any other way for you to stop them once they're at your door. It's possible that they walk around in the room then turn and leave when you're behind the couch. Here's hoping Mark reads the comments!!!

Wow this game is,, actually genuinely scary. Like, the whole entire game is so unnerving and it's so good.
Mark, when you check the room where Bonnie is, sometimes when you turn around and run back to the couch, there's something with bright glowing red eyes that appears in the top right corner of the screen. This is followed almost immediately by your death. I'm assuming you have to jump down to the ground at the couch to hide from it
I've noticed that too I was wondering if it was just a glitch or something
Haven't watched the whole vid yet so not sure if he showed this in the vid but what you have to do is when they get close to the door then u have to hide behind the couch(there's a button when u get to the couch that lets you hide behind it and when u hide behind the couch u can see the animatronics walk into the room and look around then walk away. The red eyes in the corner were Bonnie's eyes when he came in.
if ya pause the video repeatedly you'll noticed it's just the lamp's shadow rendering in and while it's doing that it looks like a "head". but maybe there is something to that, idk the way mark edited this video it seems he didn't look at the freddy's door as much he did bonnie's. either way they made Freddy a lot more aggressive in this demo lol

I love the death animations in The Joy of Creation. No bear suddenly appearing in front of you or a fox leaping over the table and fading to black. You see where they come from, the protagonist trying to fight back and you see how you get killed

hey Mark you may find this helpful. Bonnie and Freddy work the same way, they’re both behind the doors and you have to look through the keyhole and if they’re REALLY close, you need to hide behind the couch by facing towards the TV and pressing W, you then wait, they should come out and search the room, once they leave you can leave too.
Chica will randomly turn off the light, so you need to turn it back on.
Foxy will randomly come out of the door so flash him with the right mouse button to make him go away.

Five nights at Freddy's does a good job with lore.
Joy of Creation does better with setting a truly suspenseful, terrifying environment.
It also makes it seem like your really in the game with all the realistic motion in Joy of Creation.
Alien Isolation did it better inmy opinion. the only horror game to legit scare me
