You really must watch "Coal Miner's Daughter", Sissy Spacek does a great job playing and singing as Loretta. 👍👍👍
Jet about to say the same thing. Good call. It's a good movie even if you didn't know who Loretta was.
I love that movie and you can see what a sassy spirit Loretta had in her personal life.
BTW, her husband, the guy out drinking all night, was also her manager. Her songs are based in true events. Since her passing, I've been reading some stories about her.
Have you seen her movie “Coal Miners Daughter”? Loretta didn’t hide anything.
@@TexasMagnolia yes.
So sad to hear of Loretta Lynn's passing. She was a country legend & singer song writer who's music has spanned 6 decades. She was also friends with the great late Patsy Cline. Her younger sister Crystal Gayle also is a great singer. She grew up dirt poor & stayed humble & true to her roots. The autobiographical movie "Coal Miner's Daughter" is worth looking at.
RIP Loretta! She was such a talented lady. You should check out her song, "Fist City."
They've done it
Mr & Mrs Use to be with Ernest Tube
Loretta’s husband was her inspiration for several of the songs she wrote. Lol Inspite if that, she stayed with her husband for all of his life and until he took his last breath. She missed an award show to sit by his bedside. I think she was only 14 or 15 when they married. It was her husbands idea to bring her to Nashville to show everyone what a special singer she was. We have her husband to thank for the many years that we got to enjoy her talents.
Loretta was feisty. As much as I love Dolly Parton, and I adore her, you know Loretta would not have begged Jolene to leave her man alone. She would have taken Jolene to Fist City! Ty for another great reaction.
Dolly said she did, in fact, fight "Jolene". She said Jolene ripped off Dolly's wig and about beat her half to death with it. Although Dolly lost that battle, she won the war...because they are still Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dean.
@@michaelfarmer9472 Thanks for that info on Dolly’s own words.
"You ain't woman enough to take my man" was supposedly a direct response to Dolly's "Jolene". A diss track of sorts.
Dolly is a treasure and Jolene is one of my favorite songs of all time, but I think Loretta is more my kind of woman. She wouldn't beg for nothing, she'd take it.
she was always so real and down to earth and uplifting to others .
In love how concise Loretta is. Her songs rarely clock more than 2.5 minutes. She says what she has to say, repeats it once to make sure you hear her right, and that's it.
"I SAID, Don't come home a drinking with loving on your mind!"
Not a country fan, but I do adore Loretta. Sings with such honesty and heart. RIP Love you guys, great reaction!
Rest in peace, sweet Lorettie (her family called her that). A wonderfully talented fellow Kentuckian!
My grandma pronounced names ending in -a as though they ended in -ie. Her sister was named Edna but she called her Ednie. I think it's an Eastern Kentucky thing. All four of my grandparents were from Eastern Kentucky.
Loretta wrote all of her own songs and took the words from her life. Such a legacy.
Great reaction, Asia and BJ. Loretta Lynn's voice is unmistakable; Country royalty for a reason. A native of Kentucky, Loretta is deeply admired and loved by those she left in the Blue Grass.
Loretta Lynn touched so many people all around the world 🌎🌍. Not only white people, but people of all races. That's what you call geninue love and Queen 💕👑💖 of country music. All you can say is everytime you hear her it touches your hearts. She will so ever missed. She will be talked about the rest of her life. Love 😍❤️💞💯 Loretta Lynn always and forever.
Rip Loretta Lynn such a beautiful soul
The Queen of Country!!!!!
R I P Loretta thanks for Reacting to the Queen!
RIP 🔥
you never have to wonder what Loretta is saying she was always direct lol❤️
You need to listen to her song. The Pill.
She was a trailblazer and amazing.
Wife here..WOW..One of my FAVORITE Loretta Lynn songs!!..Such a Genuine soul and you've hit the Nail on the head..Once Again!!!.., Soooo Sultry!!...Tone's Amazing!!.
And yes.., She was The Woman of "Country"!!! 🙏RIP....!
The thing about Loretta Lynn wasn't just that she was a great performer and a great songwriter, but she was the first woman in country music to tell the woman's perspective in a critical, strong and independent way. She was still always a married woman in her songs, but she wasn't about to put up with any kind of nonsense, whereas most of the other women singers of the time would sing about how they were heartbroken or that they would take back their cheating man, and all that kind of subservient stuff. Loretta Lynn said NOPE 😂
Loretta Lynn was truly ahead of her time. You should check out her song The Pill.
I was hoping that you'd react to this one, it's my favorite song from Loretta Lynn!💜 She was the queen of speak out country music, straight from her life, straight from her heart.✨
You guys should react to the one she did a couple years ago she had just got out of the hospital from having pneumonia. As soon as she got home she went into the studio and recorded the song. I think it was called no time to go by Loretta Lynn she came way before Dolly Parton Loretta Lynn was the queen of country music. She was living legend country music royalty
It's "Ain't No Time To Go" I just recommended it too. it's become one of my favorites of hers.
this song was controversial for the time. some radio stations refused to play it. it was a huge success for her. God bless Loretta
The Pill was another one banned from radio for a long time
Loretta’s “You’re Lookin’ at Country” is a true staple of who she was.
RIP legend. 💙
Be sure to watch Coal Miners Daughter, you will really appreciate her that much more.
Loretta chose Sissy to play her in the movie.
So true! Sissy Spacek said in a hilarious interview that the first she heard she was supposed to portray Loretta was when Loretta announced it herself on one of the talk shows. I think Spacek had turned down the role a couple times, but Loretta was sure of it. Then, she went to visit Loretta at Hurricane Mills. They were having some renovations done and all the hammering, sawing, the noise was getting on Loretta’s last nerves. Spacek said she heard Loretta before she actually saw her. She was yelling, “Bam! Bam! Fram! Fram! Bam! This dadgum racket is driving me crazy!!” LOL! Instantly Spacek thought, “Oh, my god! I MUST play this woman!!”
Coal Miners Daughter is a great movie of her life and well worth the watch!
I’ve always loved Loretta Lynn. Besides the fact the music is great, she doesn’t mince words. I still laugh when I listen to a lot of her songs.
RIP beautiful Loretta❤❤
My mom's favorite female country singer there was always Loretta playing in our house when mom was cleaning or cooking so I grew to love her music as I got older.
Loretta Lynn was a legend in country music.
I grew up listening to her music. Still great music .
Dolly Parton said that this was her mom's favorite song of Loretta's..
I LOVE WATCHING YOU 2 ASIA&BJ 👍🏼😊❤️ RIP LORETTA LYNN 🤠
Country music at the time was very conservative and country women were supposed to be there for their man and do what the man said. Loretta was a leader in the femanist cause in a way we can not imagine today. Have you heard "The Pill"?
Gotta love Loretta. Honest as the day is long. RIP 💔
You really should watch Coal Miners Daughter to see where all these songs came from
RIP Loretta Lynn. You've returned home a legend.
I love your faces. BJ is kind of like WTH and Asia is like "You go girl".
My favorite female country artist RIP
RIP Loretta Lynn! Legend! Did you know that this song was actually written by Loretta Lynn's sister Peggy Sue?! Peggy Sue wrote it for Loretta but Peggy Sue even has her husband sing this song as a duet to get the man's response. You can watch that duet on RUclips. Christal Gayle is also Loretta Lynn's sister!
Queen of Country and she wrote most all her own songs. She’s with her buddy Patsy now!!
She had that Beautiful Honky Tonk Hillbilly Accent as she talked and Sang. Many Blessings to You guys, Nice Chat 😊
Love Loretta Lynn, you all need to react to the movie "Coal Miner's Daughter" and the song too.🙂
I got to know about this wonderful lady through the movie about her life. She was one of the queens of Country music.May she Rest In Peace.
Lol...I've been singing this song while doing my house work for a couple days now...🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🥰
RIP Loretta! Imagine being a singer and songwriter who STARTS her career with four kids.
If you haven't heard it, give a listen to Coal Miners Daughter, and if you haven't seen the movie, give it a watch on Reelin. Loretta was a national treasure and my favorite female in country music.
Loretta had such an amazing rise from a poor girl in the Appalachian mountains of KY, married and had her first of many children before she was 16. She already has 3 or 4 kids before she recorded her first song.
Love all her songs
Check out some of her last songs "Ain't No Time To Go" and "Lay me Down" a duet with Willie Nelson, even when she was approaching 90 and had had some health problems her voice was still as good as ever.
Fun fact: Loretta and Dolly both became famous in 1967.
Define famous. Loretta released her 1st song that became a #14 hit in 1960. She became a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 1962. Dolly graduate high school in 1964 and joined the Porter Waggoner Show in 1967. We should all be grateful that they both became "famous".
That around the same time Tammy Wynette became famous too.
There is a movie about her called coal miners daughter. It’s pretty good.
She had such an interesting life. She lived in a haunted civil war mansion and saw ghosts as did her kids, her mom had a premonition of Loretta’s sons drowning, she had indigenous ancestry on one side, she was an amazing woman!!
Among her songs written about her husband is Squaw Is On The Warpath, Wine, Women, and Song, and one that the critics were all over her for…. The Pill
Bless her soul.
She was and always be the Queen of Country Music 🎶
Rip Loretta Lynn , love THE Coal Miner' s Daughter and the movie you should watch and do a reaction
it's really good about making it in the industry
R.I.P Loretta Lynn.
I love Loretra Lynn may she rest in peace
Loretta was a national treasure. Anyone that ever saw her live knows she was a great performer. She would actually even take requests at her live shows. Not something you see many artists do...if any.
Listen to the response song by Loretta Lynn’s brother Jay Lee Webb called I Come Home a Drinkin.
It's probably inconceivable for the young generation discovering Loretta Lynn and her music to discover a woman described as The Queen of Country Music" had one of her songs banned on the radio...The Pill.
Oh wow, Y'all would like. " Fist City" 👊 Another true story! 🌞
Something many do not know about Loretta and her family . For many many years she and her family have hosted the American Motorcle Association Amateur Motocross Nation Championships on their Ranch in Hurricane Mills Tennessee. A championship title that is the most coveted award in Amateur Motocross racing. It draws racers from 4yrs to over 60yrs and their families from all over the US and abroad each summer. Loretta was a hugh supporter of the event . She was a really sweet person . She will be greatly missed by the racers and their families. RIP Loretta.
She wrote these songs. They were songs from her life. Rest In Peace Loretta Lynn💕
You MUST listen to Big Wreck perform Ghosts live at Suhr Factory. It's amazing. This band is so under rated its crazy. My fiance and my friends are talking about flying from Texas up to Canada just to see them live.
she was pitch perfect 🥰
"You're squaw is on the warpath tonight " should be next, please
This song was the title for the first Gold album, for a woman in country music , just one of the first of many first achievements for a woman...in a man's dominant genre..RIP LORETTA LYNN, the Queen of country music.. please play "When a tingle becomes a chill" .
Asia is called honest voice she was very honest That's what's missing in most of the music today she talked about what really went on in her life too bad most artists today are scared of death to do something like this rest in peace Loretta Lynn, by the way BJ your facial reaction halfway through the video was very funny it was like she's telling on me thank you guys for your reaction
You're hilarious BJ. "Gotta be home in the daytime, so when you're out at night it will be alright."
One of my favorite Loretta Lynn’s song was You Ain’t Woman Enough to Take My Man. lol
Y'all should react to "Coal Miners Daughter" on your movie channel (after spooky month is over).
It's the story of Loretta Lynn & she is brilliantly played by Sissy Spacek.
Love your hat BJ!!!
Loved her
Check out Van Lear rose that she recorded with Jack White of The White Stripes. Such a good, honest to bones country song.
RIP LEGEND
Listen to You Ain’t Woman Enough To Take My Man… it is another good song by her! Like others have mentioned… Definitely check out the movie Coal Miner’s Daughter…. which is her life story. SO good!
