Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty did a concert in Lexington KY in 1978. I was working as a teenager, taking tickets. I do believe the entire population of Butcher Holler KY was in the audience that night. She and Conway sat a table after the show and signed autographs and took pics for over 2 hours. They would not leave until everyone who wanted to connect with them was satisfied. Probably the nicest permformers that took the stage in that venue, EVER.
I would have LOVED to see them live. Unfortunately Conway passed away 3 days after I was born and just never got the chance to see Loretta 😭
So good to hear raw straight stories like that .
"Women like you they're a dime a dozen; you can buy'em ANYWHERE!" 😂🤣🤣
Loretta Lynn was my hero I loved her and she was an inspiration to all women
Saw Loretta in concert 56 times since I was 16...loved her!!! And met her 4 or 5 times...sweetest lady ever!!!
And she remembered you and loved you, too! That's one of her best qualities...she REALLY DOES love her "Friends"...because she genuinely felt we were so much more than just fans. I mean, who else when people came to see her house would say, let's build a campground here on the ranch, so these people will have somewhere to stay...and keep security to a minimum, so the fans might actually have a chance to interact with her if she happened to be outside?
This song wasn't wrote about her husband this song was wrote for fan. Before a concert one night a fan came back stage crying and upset and told Loretta her man was there with another woman and Loretta asked her to point him out and Loretta told the fan she ain't woman enough to take your man and then sat down before the concert and wrote this song in no time and performed it that night at the concert. I read it in her autobiography.
Wow! Great story. Fist City was real....about her daughter's bus driver messin' with her husband.
She said, “oh, but I don’t think you can,”
My favorite line in this will forever be “women like you are a dime a dozen, you can buy them anywhere” basically calling her a 1/2 cent prostitute. Thanks for the reaction guys! She made a song recently called “still woman enough” featuring Reba MacEntire and Carrie Underwood. I think y’all would like that one. Thanks for the shout out too. Love y’all!
Another great song by the incomparable Loretta Lynn. We appreciate you! - kloquewerk
Not sure y’all realize just how far ahead of her time she was, and still is.
She definitely was from everything I’ve heard from her…. Rob 🔒
I saw Loretta a number of times and Macon, Georgia when I was a child. That was the 60s. She was a passionate performer and very kind hearted to her fans. She would sign your autograph and actually talk with you. She is very genuine and loving person. She had a very fascinating life as well. She and her mother were psychic. They actually had premonitions of tragic events that happened in their life. Loretta was raised in the 30s in Butcher Holler, Kentucky. Her father was a coal miner. A lot of her music revolves around her family, and her relationship with her husband. She wrote all of her music as well. Her and her husband bought a Civil War mansion in hurricane Mills, Tennessee. It was extremely haunted. You have to watch the RUclips documentary on this. There was a movie called Cole Miner’s daughter about her life. Sissy Spacek won an Oscar for her a performance as Loretta. You have to watch the movie as well.
She did frequent duets with another big country star Conway Twitty. One of their songs was, You're the Reason Our Kids Are Ugly.
My favorite duo of theirs.
Fist City came out in 1968. You Ain't Woman Enough came out in 1969. Steel guitar. Loretta had a thick twang. You might want to pull up the lyrics when you listen to her sing. You should check out Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty singing "You're The Reason Our Kids Are Ugly".
I love both of these songs!! My granny watched hee haw faithfully.. Imagine my friends from the looks on their faces when I played you're the reason our kids are ugly.. While drinking lots of vodka.. It was hilarious..
The way Loretta smiles throughout.
Don't mess with Loretta Lynn because she is old schooled Gangster !
An Original Gangster!!!!
Loretta lived the songs she wrote and sung.
Boys .... Loretta's daddy was Cherokee Natiom. She meant this ...
She said that with a smile on her face and 10 toes on the ground. Terrifying. I love her lol
Country Queen. RIP
I saw her in concert about 8 years ago I guess & she was great! She had just had eye surgery & she had to be lead to a chair on stage & she sat there & sang a few song then said ‘ y’all just holler out what y’all want me to sing’ & she sang it. Man let me tell you she never missed a word & it was as great as if it were her record, her voice was so strong. I’m so glad I was able to see her, she was such a beautiful lady & her concert was a family affair.
She says "Oh but I don't think you can" but the other way works just as well. 🤣
Crystal Gayle is her younger sister. "Don't it make my brown eyes blue" is likely her best known song...mellow
I love Crystal Gale. Blue Bayou is my favorite. - kloquewerk
@@Roblockdn Wasn't that Linda Rondstadt?
@@alphaomega9626 yes
I saw her in concert and couldn't believe how powerful her voice was. Her fans adored her and she really loved her fans. I was a little kid when I first heard her music and loved her from the beginning. She has so many songs to choose from that it's hard to recommend one. I really liked 'Rated X' and an unreleased song from later on called 'Married Ladies.'
I watched a video earlier where she said, "This girl came up to the house to try to take Doo away from me. She didn't look so hot when she got there, and she looked even worse when she left." 😂😂😂😂 Loretta didn't play when it came to Doo!
Doo was a player thats where her songs come from 😂
The Wilburn Bros. - Distant Drums.
Fist City and I can't hear the music anymore are 2 more wonderful songs by Loretta. R.I.P
Fist City is the song I originally requested and that reaction did not disappoint. They weren’t ready for Loretta. Lol.
Saw her in concert and she put on a fabulous show. Love Loretta
You ABSOLUTELY need to listen to her song RUBY'S STOOL...it is the same theme as this song and fist city
Great reaction!! This was definitely after Fist City which was one of her 1st hits. Loretta lived it all. She grew up absolutely dirt poor in the mining country of Kentucky. Loretta and her husband Doo had a really rough relationship. She was only 14 and he was 21 when they got married. She had 4 kids by the time she was 20. He drank and ran around on her and they often had knock-down-drag-outs with both of them throwing punches.
She did duets with Ernst Tubb to in the 60s
I think Loretta had more songs banned from country radio than any other artist, male or female or other, or at least that's the legend.
Mom and Dad saw her in concert. Said she was even prettier in person.
I watched Coal Miner's Daughter when I was pretty young. Loved her music ever since.
The Queen of country!
That's some very good advice from your Papaw ...🥰😂
RIP to one of the greats
You Ain't Woman Enough (To Take My Man) came out in 1966. Fist City came out in 1968. 50 YEARS LATER, in 2018, Loretta released a similar song...RUBY'S STOOL. One of the last songs she released was Still Woman Enough...the title track from the album, which was part of a 5 album deal.
Steel guitar. All her songs she wrote was about her life with her husband. She did get ahold of him and another lady in the backseat as she was performing at a festival.
May she be resting in peace.
I hope y'all react to more of Loretta. Here's another one of hers to check out ( Your Squaw is on The Warpath Tonight )..this one of favorites of hers
There are some amazing Country singer/songwriters. Outlaw Country. Waylon Jennings, Willy Nelson. It's so cool watching y'all discover this genre.
her songs were very controversial some banned by radio stations as she said how it was and touched on subjects that people didn't like
Check out her woman's empowerment song "The Pill". Many radio stations refused to play it.
We reacted to that one. Go check it out 😃 ruclips.net/video/AqMIuvN5614/видео.html
All right fellas. Tom dropping Friday man.
You Ain't Woman Enough to Take My Man came out in 1966 and Fist City came out in 1968
Thank you! I was right.
You ain't woman enough to take my man 1966 when at a state fair with Patsy Cline. She caught her husband Dolittle in back seat of a car. Fist city 1968. Was about the teacher telling Ms. Lynn's children she (the teacher )was going to be their new mommy.
Steele guitar
you guys will love Loretta Lynn's Rated X
We’ll definitely add it to the list - kloquewerk
3:01 - she said EXACTLY that.
The great Don Helms on Steel guitar. It is a peddle steel. Don Helms was part of the Drifting Cowboys, Hank Williams Sr. Band.
I saw Loretta twice. Also saw Conway Twitty twice. Unfortunately for me l never saw them sing together.😢 Love their duets.
1-1-0 for me. Been to the ranch and met Ernie, Peggy, and Patsy a few times. Chatted with her granddaughter Tayla a few times online. Never met Loretta, but sent a pen and paper to her bus after a show via Patsy and I was the only one to get an autograph that night, because it was for my Grandma who had to cancel going to the show because she was hospitalized just a few days before. Patsy said as soon as Loretta heard the name and where she was from, she remembered meeting my Grandma several times throughout her career. I was tripping! She remembered my Grandma! At least I got to see her in a live show. I got to see Conway in a live show. Perhaps, when we get to Heaven, we will see them sing together.
@michaelfarmer966 Cool! I bet they(Lorettas family) are very nice. Never been to the ranch. But have seen it on tv & on yt. I love watching the movie "Coal Miners Daughter." Sissy Spacek did a great job becoming Loretta Lynn. Every time I watch it, l then have to watch Dollys movie "9 to 5." Love Classic Country Music. Hate the music of today.
Fortunately I got to see her and Conway many times. She said 'cause not hussy.
Fist City was written when her daughter got off the school bus crying one day saying the bus driver said she was going to be her new mommy. Loretta was a true country girl that wasn't afraid to throw down. She had several run in with her husband's side activities. They stayed married until the day he died.
This song came out b4 fist city as far as I know..
Check out her sister, Chrystal Gayle.
Listen to Honky Tonk Girl!!
Added to the list
Try the one she got in a little controversy over called "The Pill".
She was a true Southern lady she can tell you off with a smile on her face and you don’t know she is being sarcastic and make you think is she being nice or what
Loretta Lynn was a good Christian woman and would never have used foul language in any of her music. What she said was "Oh but I don't think you can..."
She never used ugly language!
There is a petal Steel or a Tennessee Flat top box
🙇♂️ 🙇♂️
Looky....no touchy!
You ain't woman enough was first
50s she started
Should react to seven Spanish angels by Willie Nelson and Ray Charles
This song 66 Fist City 68
Appreciate the info
Y’all need to watch the movie coal miners daughter…. It’s a fairly close to life story. She came up from nothing and was self taught etc., she earned everything she had. And no you didn’t hear any ugly words. Not her style.
Her life was hard that was a strong hard-working by the coal mine that's where her daddy worked he was fit to come through with what she was saying

Loretta did not talk shit , lol, she meant what she said
I think You Ain't Woman Enough was first.
Bolo tie
That's what my daddy said, it's ok to look at the menu but you better not order!
I just subscribed but I'm hoping for sure you never disrepect this woman.. if you do.. I'm done.
We never disrespect ANY women! Thanks for the sub - kloquewerk
Marriage only takes away your bag permit, not your hunting license.
She says Oh (with a twang) not Ho
And the other one is "cause uh you ain't woman..." Not hussy, but damn I loved ya suggesting it might have been...
She said, "You say you're gonna take him. Oh, but I don't think you can, cause you ain't woman enough to take my man." She never said "hussy" or anything close to "hussy". What on earth did you hear that made you think she said anything resembling this?
The guitar is most commonly called a steel guitar.
Loretta made that very special green dress she was wearing because she had to design it to accommodate the size of her belly. She didn't always play the guitar because she wasn't terribly good at it (as you said, "she hit a few chords") but she was VERY pregnant with her twin girls and she held the guitar in front of her to hide her pregnancy back in a time when pregnant women were not expected to be seen very much in public and they certainly were not expected to appear on TV. With the way she is holding the guitar, her pregnancy is hidden.
My brother is a huge Loretta Lynn fan and he lives in Kentucky. Loretta was giving TWO concerts in a town in Kentucky (I don't remember which one) but she had concerts in that town on two straight nights and my brother decided while she was there for TWO nights he would go see her. I think he called for tickets the day after they went on sale and he was told that BOTH shows were already sold out and had sold out just a couple of hours after the tickets became available.
I live in Nashville and I saw her live when she first came here and was singing at the show at Ernest Tubb's Record Shop which followed The Grand Ole Opry every Saturday night. She wasn't real big back then but there was not a doubt in mind that one day she would be huge and I was lucky enough to see her FREE at ET's Record Shop!
A commenter below mentioned that Loretta and Conway did not leave the venue until everyone who wanted to speak to them had a chance to do so even though they had to stay there for two hours to accomplish that. I heard her say that she would stay until she had given an autograph to the very last person who wanted one because she said, "My fans made me and I am never going to forget that." And she never did. RIP, Loretta.
@Maryann Anderson. Loretta gave birth to her twins in Aug. 1964. "You Ain't Woman Enough" was written by Loretta and released in 1966, so she wasn't pregnant in this video. In those days, you would not hear a song performed until after its release.

Steel guitar, guys.
Appreciate it
I don’t care where my husband gets his appetite as long as he comes home to eat
Are you guys going to The new Taylor Swift album that comes out this Friday? It’s Taylor Swift so you’re sure to get lots and lots of views and New subscribers. Js
We’re definitely open to anything! We’ll take a look at it - kloquewerk
@@Roblockdn You definitely should. It comes out tonight at midnight. I guarantee if you react to it ASAP and upload it ASAP you will get tons and tons of views.
Appreciate it fam but what 2 songs should we start with…. Rob 🔒
@@Roblockdn just judging by what we know coming from this new album if I were you I would go with “ antihero“ because that song has a video. And/or “ Snow on the beach“ featuring Lana Del Rey. because Lana Del Rey also has a cult following.
if you want to do some of her “mainstream/pop” Music, “blank space” is a parity of how the media portrays Taylor Swift dating life. and “bad blood” is about her and Katie Perry’s fight.
just in case you don’t know Taylor writes all of her music. PS sorry for writing a novel lol.
She smiles because while she may talk sh-t, and stay ready to throw down, she's still a lady. 😂
Most singers smile to the audience 😊

She didn't become vulgar....not her style.
So is that a turn on or not? Cause I will fight for my man. All day every day

You interrupt too much guys
We call it reacting but we appreciate the comment and support…. Rob 🔒
I'm not sure why you bother to do a reaction to her. You were too busy trying to make up words you thought she was saying. Instead of listening.
Not sure anyone was making up words here 🧐 but thanks for the view - kloquewerk
