One of my favorites!! She busted the doors open for women in country music because of the songs she wrote! Like “The Pill” and “Don’t Come Home a Drinking”!
Supposedly, she performed this song once and a woman yells from a table "I was woman enough and did take your man." Loretta hiked up her skirt, walked across tables from the stage to get to the woman, beat her up, got back up on stage, and continued the show.
@@crederules I can't say for certain off of memory, bit she did write fist city very shortly after the album tour was over. Ain't woman enough came out in 66 and fist city in 68.
In 1952, the first female country superstar had a huge hit called It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels. The singer was Kitty Wells. She paved the way for the many female country artists who followed after her.
Wow. When you said "You're worth way more than that. Leave" a light-bulb just went off in my head. I needed to hear it said in exactly that way. Thanks, Billy ♥
Yes preach!! Its super famous as a song my grandpa introduced me to Loretta and Reba and Dolly and Patsy!! Hes 90 years old these where his songs in the day it's crazy when you think about it
I love Loretta Lynn! She was the very FIRST USO show in 1983 over in Beirut! She did a lot for us. She made our day and made our deployment that little bit more bearable.
Loretta Lynn's best known song is "Coal Miner's Daughter". It's a song about her growing up in Butcher Holler KY. A great duet is one she does with Conway Twitty "Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man"
The First Lady of Country. This generation needs to watch the movie Coal Miner’s Daughter. Loretta has jumped from the stage and whooped a women’s ass! And did it, got back on stage and kept singing with a smile.
I was in the Navy throughout the 80's and my ship pulled into Diego Garcia, I tiny island in the middle of the Indian ocean, not much more than a gas station and while there Loretta Lynne was doing a USO show. Everyone was ordered to go to the show who wasn't on duty. Lots of people didn't want to go but after the show there wasn't a man on the ship who wouldn't gladly beat anyone to a pulp who dared speak poorly of her. She is an amazing lady and earns respect.
He was in the back seat of a car with a woman Loretta went over to the car opened the door she told that girl "woman you want keep that arm you better get it off my husband..."love ya Billy you the best ❤❤❤❤
My second favorite female country singer. Her song Coal Miner's Daughter was always my go to first karaoke song to warm up my voice when we used to go karaoking.
I recommend you doing a review on the movie "Coal Miner's Daughter" based on the life of Loretta Lynn's life, on your next Billybinges channel. In the movie you will see what inspired her to write this song. I also recommend doing a reaction to Loretta Lynn's baby sister, Crystal Gayle singing her signature song, "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue"
yes! love this song! I actually had requested this song on one of your more recent videos, right when i first subscribed, a week ago. lol. now i have been binge watching all your videos!
100% agree ... If he is looking else where for love ..... let him go, but if she (the other woman) is the aggressor ..... let her know girl. Mrs. Lynn rocks.
Miss Loretta actually wrote about real things women were going through back then. One of her songs was actually banned from radio at one point. Check out--"The Pill" and "Fist City"....:)
You have to remember, she sang this song when it was controversial. Back in the 60's-70's. I went to her concert in the 70's and I was a kid. I remember my mom telling me that her songs were banned because radio stations were afraid to play her songs. She spoke out on what she felt she needed to at the time. Can you imagine if she spoke out now?? That woman used her talents to get her point across.
+BillyYouSoCrazy LOL Noo dude she said "Oh but I don't think you can". One thing you'll learn about Loretta is she is a true lady who doesn't lower herself to use profanities and other such language, that's why they call her The First Lady Of Country Music lol, she of course also has a bit of the spitfire in her too lol if you watch the movie "Coal Miner's Daughter". The woman is 87yrs old and is still out there performing although not as much anymore. She's truly all about her fans. You can visit her ranch Hurricane Mills in TN and when she just so happens to be there, you'll see her out mingling around amongst her the visitors asking how their doing and if they are having a good time & enjoying themselves. Ohh and as to who she's talking to. She wrote this song for a fan who was dealing with a woman trying to steal her man. She told her "honey she aint woman enough to take your man" and then proceeded to write this song in 10mins.
I loved that song! She took a lot of flack from people in the Country Music community, but it was a hit. She wasn't allowed to perform it at THE GRAND OLE OPRY.
"But OH I don't think you can" is what she said
Her song “ you’re the reason our kids are ugly” is a great song. She’s an awesome talent
also the song As Soon As I Hang Up The Phone
Can you react to still ridding by bottleneck
You need to watch coal miners daughter. It's about her life

@@crederules I can't say for certain off of memory, bit she did write fist city very shortly after the album tour was over. Ain't woman enough came out in 66 and fist city in 68.
Miss Loretta is country royalty for a reason.
In 1952, the first female country superstar had a huge hit called It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels. The singer was Kitty Wells. She paved the way for the many female country artists who followed after her.
Loretta Lynn is the best. She has so many great songs.

Wow. When you said "You're worth way more than that. Leave" a light-bulb just went off in my head. I needed to hear it said in exactly that way. Thanks, Billy ♥
This is was written by Ms. Lynn based on a true story. She was ahead of her time!
She learned to play guitar by singing her babies to sleep.... then went and made her amazing mark on the world
Fist City is even more aggressive! LOL

Dolly begged Jolene. Loretta opened up a can of Whoop Ass.

The First Lady of Country. This generation needs to watch the movie Coal Miner’s Daughter.
Loretta has jumped from the stage and whooped a women’s ass! And did it, got back on stage and kept singing with a smile.
Your right she says OH! as in : Oh no I don't think you can take him away from me.

She wrote that song in like 15 minutes after a fan went back stage and told her there was a woman in the crowd who wanted her man.
Yes she did unfortunately everyone thinks it was weird about Doo. I think the movie is partly to blame for that.
Sissy Lynn, She had a husband like everybody else’s...boys will be boys.
She’s the queen of country. She wrote music that was about her life. She’s a real country lady. Thank you for playing this song.

Agree - worth more than that.
This song is a far cry from "Jolene", by Ms Dolly Olly. 👊
This was in the 60s, country music...and even then, Loretta told it like it was
True country
This beautiful woman is 87 and still occasionally performing. She just put out a new album in 2018.
Another classic. Good move.

Have you heard her songs "The Pill" or "Fist City"? She writes pretty good songs!
“Coal Miners Daughter “ reaction that’s the song she’s known for
She actually had a song that was banned in several cities, it's called The Pill. Another good one is Ones on the way. She's a country music legend.
I loved that song! She took a lot of flack from people in the Country Music community, but it was a hit. She wasn't allowed to perform it at THE GRAND OLE OPRY.
