This isn't feminism. This is what a REAL woman acts like. My mother (RIP) acted the same when it came to matters of her family, A REAL woman doesn't let nobody, but nobody wreck her home. A feminist will become a "swinger" swapping herself and her husband with other couple's spouses.

Loretta Lynn is a country legend. She is a singer song writer who's music has spanned 6 decades. She was also friends with the great late Patsy Cline. Her younger sister Crystal Gayle also is a great singer. She grew up dirt poor & stayed humble & true to her roots. Like others have mentioned, the autobiographical movie "Coal Miner's Daughter" is worth looking at.

Loretta got into a few scraps with women over her husband. He had a wandering eye back in the day. She'd whoop his ass too if he needed it. My cousin played her husband, Doolittle Lynn, in the movie about her life called Coal Miner's Daughter. He's a natural asshole, so he was able to portray that role perfectly. You have to do "fist city" she wrote these songs as a response to her husband's cheating. Also "The Pill" She was married at14 and had 6 kids. Her husband Dew was a well known womanizer. She had sass! Once she caught him in a bar with a womans and told her "if you like that arm you best get it off my husband" watch her life story in the movie Coal Miners Daughter. She and Patsy Cline were great friends.

Loretta Lynn set Nashville on it's butt when she rolled in from Kentucky. She wrote and sang about real life from a STRONG woman's point of view. She pushed the limits of industry standards with this song and "The Pill", and in my opinion blew the ceiling off Country Music for female Singer/Songwriters. Loretta Lynn is the Original Female Mega Star of Country Music. And she's a beautiful soul and a true Believer! Merry Christmas everyone!!!!

Definitely watch the movie Coal Miner's Daughter... Sissy Spacek portrays Loretta Lynn and does an amazing job in the movie(won academy Award for best actress in this movie)... This is Loretta Lynn's life story and she did write songs like this, because her husband was unfaithful in the early years of their marriage. If you do watch the movie, her father in the movie is played by Levon Helm( drummer for the group “The Band”), might want to react to his song that was a hit in the late 60s called “The Weight”.

And she handled her husband the same way. LOL Love both ladies. If you see how Loretta was raised, you will see why she is so strong and tough. The ultimate "He's mine. You may have had him once, but I got him all the time" by Mokenstef song.

When she says "get out while you can" what she means is "get out while I still let you"... that's my favorite part

Loretta wrote these songs because she lived them... she was only 13 when she and Dolittle Lynn got married...He gave her a lot of grief but she was a little fireball and could defiantly hold her own....they remained married until Dolittle died in 1996...she never remarried...they loved each other very much...

Sissy Spacek did an awesome job playing Loretta Lynn in Coal Miner's daughter. She sang just like her. Tommy Lee Jones played her husband.

One of my favorite lines from Coal Miner's Daughter when Loretta finds a woman with her husband in the parking lot. Woman says do you know who I am. Loretta says I don't know who you are but I know what you are.
