The RC F, GS F and LS 460/600 all sound better (not necessarily louder) stock because of the true dual exhaust with an h-pipe. The IS F, GS 430/460 & LS 400/430 all have a y-pipe in the middle and because of that lose a lot of the V8 rumble. (Any of these can be turned into a sound-monster pretty easily though by simply using a true dual exhaust with h-pipe.)

As good as it is stock, it gets 10x more enjoyable with a good aftermarket exhaust like Invidia. The sound experience becomes so immersive and the added +20 whp is a welcome bonus

As a daily driver, I want a coupe with moderate horsepower (keeping it reliable), that has a naturally aspirated V8, is automatic and has AWD. Doesn't exist. The closest thing is the RC-F and Jaguar F-Type. If Lexus could make this AWD it would be the perfect daily driver. My guess is by the time they get around to it they do some sort of turbo 6 cylinder.
there is a AWD version of this car called the rc 350. Its the same car, but with a 6 cylinder, and AWD. So your pretty much losing the big v8 making 472 horses
A B8.5 Audi RS5 would check pretty much all of your boxes. I'd just take it in every 40k to get the carbon cleaned out since it's direct injection. The 4.2 V8 these came with didn't have the timing chain issues that plagued previous gen RS4s either.

I just paid 1099 to have an rcF shipped from Cali to NY to buy it thru Carmax. If I switched up the tires to a straight winter tire do you think it would drive in the snow alright? Anyone drive an RCF in the snow/winter?
This car is nice and something I’d consider buying. Weighs too much though. For its size and class, it’s inexcusable even for a touring car. It’s what happens when you stitch three different cars together rather than develop a bespoke platform...
Not really, weighs about the same as any other car that size with a big beefy V8 in the front. Plus the Lexus is super reliable and one the safest cars on the road. The rest of the class are doing small twin-turbo 6 cylinders and using lots of plastic in the construction to shave off a few hundred pounds. Specially BMW, I wager their cars are more plastic than metal at this point.

The LC-500. I worked at a Lexus dealership for 1 year. Whenever the LC-500 was in the detail building, we opened the exhaust note on that bad boy and it sounds so much better than the RC-F. More deep muscle tone.
