Gotta be joking me. He's good on Clarksons Farm, but a complete plonker with cars. He didn't even turn the traction control off properly. When reviewing a car, it helps if you know how to operate it properly.

The sound the LFA makes... it's sort of a mix between F1 (in "low" revs) and a motorcycle... sounds amazing...

How long do you think people keep these cars? I trade mine in every year. Most people trade them in within two years. Only kids think that the "it will last forever" argument is valid.
Lot's of leased Lexus out there. BMW's are not "leased because of reliability". They are leased because people don't keep cars forever these days. That's something that kids have in their heads. The BMW is the more fun to drive, therefore I have the M4 and not the RCF....period. That was the only thing that went into my buying decision. Which car would I rather drive? That was the question. I'm not going to pass up pleasure for some reliability myth that will never come into play.

but RC F and LFA are two completely different cars. They cannot be compared like this.

They probably weren't originally planning to add the LFA bit but the RCF was so bad that it might have looked biased or unfair so they through some LFA clips in to try and be help offset how bad the RCF is.

15-20mm lower ride height, 10mm spacers all round, anti-roll bars across the strut towers and rear links, shed some weight and bosh.. RC F would be an amazing car.
It's an entry level super sport that is made to be driven daily..or modified. Toyota did this with the GT86 & other performance models as well.
Well said, I'll add that an intake, full exhaust and tune wakes it up and gives it 50-60 WHEEL horsepower and makes it sound amazing.
@@michaelangelo5783 bigger intake, intercooler & a big cone filter would definitely help. Cat back exhaust would be good enough and keeps it road legal (don't see point in decats unless it's a track car tbh).
Tubular manifold would be good as well, but I'd TIG together my own stuff.

The wallowiness of the body and frame can be improved with anti-roll bars, adjustable drop links and a strut brace.
If you don't know what they are, then you're either retarded, not into cars/modifying cars like I am, or a child.
Lexus absolutely knows how to make an LFA-feel again, they've worked at it for about a decade and engineering isn't some magic guesswork it's math and precision, the reason RCF is shit is because of all the constraints put on by the marketing team which they didn't have to deal with when making a one-off limited edition car

I love Top Gear but as for the RCF bashing , I think it was uncalled for . Most tests against M4/ RCF result in pretty close times for lap times , and to be quite honest i personally wouldn't be buying an M4 or RCF for trackdays . The RCF will wipe the floor for reliability and interior and exterior wise I much prefer the Lexus looks

Unpopular Opinion: The RC is not built for attacking corners and destroying tyres. Its meant for grand touring. And when it comes to that, no one makes a better grand tourer than Lexus. Its for a different audience. I love it.

If what you mean by RC-F is a great drift car by striping it down & gave it extra power, i'm probably agree with you. But if it still in stock condition, Clarkson probably got a point. Especially considering it's quiet heavy for a sportscar standard, let alone for drift

The LFA is just breath taking and will always remain my dream car, but I don't think the rcF deserved that,there are other people who test drove the rcF and took it on the track and got better results than that. FYI the rcF and m4 is almost equal,and it possesses many better qualities than the m4.
I agree, I think that jeremy just drove the LFA before and had really high expectations when the RC F came out. And too be fair its almost as if he crashed it just so he could have another excuse to drive the LFA.

Jecky I never said the rcF is faster or it has the best handling I said that others have tested the rcF and managed to track it without getting it in the grass and it has a few qualities that’s are better than the m4 such as the sound interior and looks in my opinion and as far as speed the m4 is not faster by much than the rcF
