i sat in this at a car show and it was crazy...not only was it super comfortable inside but when you closed the door all the noise from outside disappeared. i can't even really describe it...i went from hearing tons of people talking to hearing nothing

nice because it’s a luxury vehicle made by a luxury company. Not designed to be fast and handle corners. That’s why it weights over 4200 pounds

It’s a great daily but for the price I’d get a gt500, c8 vette, ctsv, hellcat, Porsche 911, gt350r, etc.

Streetboyz And every car you named besides the 911 are unreliable besides the C8, but by chevy standards you're definitely going to have some issues. The Lc500 and 911 were created with reliability as a major emphasis, not just raw power.

These cars are completely different, mate. The LC500 is a comfortable luxury cruiser, the AMG is much more like a sports car.
Greaser I can hear this engine roar non stop. It’s very similar sounding to the voodoo engine in the gt350. That’s why it sounds better than any m/amg car

I’ve always wondered for these binaural audio videos, what volume level on the iphone corresponds to the actual volume level you experience while driving? Full volume, half, somewhere in between, etc. I want it to feel like I’m in the car.

Go google Lexus manuals, download the LC's owners manual and look it up in the near 400-500+ pdf file (depending wich language you download)
Lexus cars with ambient light, also dim down when they are put into drive.
There are few videos online that caputure the ambient light. Its more light than bright LED.
I testdrove a RC a few months ago, filmed the light bar while in a tunnel (slow traffic jam speed) and it was not bright at all and hardly visable on footage.
And I cant remember it in real life too.
Its there, but very very subtle in most Lexus cars.

my dream car, lined up with the Mercedes AMG GT and Aston Martin DBS
skyfall Aston DBS, British racing green Jaguar F-Type, gentian blue 718 Spyder, atomic red Lexus LC 500, graphite grey AMG-GT 4-door, black E30 M3... all absolutely sublime. We are in the golden age (albeit the tail end of it).
For a country that loves doing amazing things with neon colors and lights, the lack of in the ambient interior is disappointing.

Anyone else get the feeling that the needle on the tach doesn't quite match up with the actual engine? The needle seems to move faster than the revs has responded on upshifts and downshifts. Not every time, but enough to be noticeable

Because how fast this Lexus revs, they had to make a digital tachometer. A traditional needle won't even come closer to match how quickly it revs. Thats why.

@@arifanjum8864 you're thinking of the LFA. And literally the point I just made is that the needle doesn't match up with the engine. Doesn't matter what technology they resorted to, if it doesn't work like it should, then it's not doing the job right?
@@maximus9401 I think we're forgetting a common thing: frame rates. We're watching this on a mobile or pc with maybe 30-60Hz display. Even the video is not in the same frame rate. Thus we're seeing a lag or lack of responsiveness. If you actually drive and experience it, I hope you'll get what Lexus did.

You take what you can get with a traditional torque converter transmission. Any quicker you’re going to have to settle for something else with a dual clutch transmission. That said, shifts up and down are incredibly quick & dual clutch like.
actually they respond quite fast and in other videos they seem to respond faster than here.. but I guess this aint no supercar.

@@sixpest Actually these transmissions can be just as good or better than a DCT. Just look at the modified 8-speed for the Hellcats and Jeep Trackhawk.
BMW is also dropping their DCT in favor of a new 8-speed for the M series.

Ian Keslar It also doesn’t have an electric boot, leg extenders on seats, seat massaging and loads of other stuff. What it does have is bullet proof reliability, id take that over some features the Germans have.

FYI, when "manual" shifting in D you are not actually shifting like you would in Manual mode. It's purpose is to limit gears unlike Manual mode.

is it really 4200lbs? That's crazy heavy for a small two seater. That is heavier than the e60 bmw M5 which has a 5l V10 motor and four doors. I don't get it...

so? than get a German sedan. Many get the LC for what it is.
this 2 seater coupe is almost as long (3 inches shorter) than an e60 M5. Also it's meant to be a stiff, quiet, luxury car, rather than a sport coupe/sedan like the E60 M5 was. There's probably at least a couple hundred pounds in sound deadening alone in the LC500.

but at a price of 92k there are several more exciting vehicles at half the price or lower; so honestly I would expect way more than a pathetic 400 something horsepower. the only good thing about it is that its a Toyota. What a joke.
Edit: a mustang gt makes about 460 to its 471; you could get the same power or more with a few simple mods like exhaust and an air intake. and if you really wanted to you could make it have way more than that with just a little bit of money all while still being cheaper and almost just as reliable.
