Mercedes was the first one to introduce these lighting, just like they were the first one in 2001 to add light the turn signals ( exterior mirrors... ) some people may find it extra but I like that. Especially at night. Keeps you up, especially on long roadtrips. It makes you feel live. My 2014 e class as about the same lighting setting. The S class version is wayyy cooler.

24/7 always on. If you drive by day through a tunnel, it is immediately a full atmosphere change. If you drive by night, it is just amazing. But to be honest, I love Bentley (see my profilpicture..I was luckily inside the new Bentley) and many other brands, but Mercedes is the only one who makes nearly 2cm thick beautiful light-stripes without seeing any strips of the ambient-light. It is perfectly covered under the material. And its with curves, not straight (boring) lines. Just have a look on some E or S-Class pictures and videos. Brands like Porsche, Audi, Bmw and Bentley...you can see the strips and the ambientlight is very thin. Nevertheless, thanks to Dieter Zetsche, who made this idea with the ambientlight 5 years ago with the new s-class possible.

I’ve owned a 2017 Continental GT since it released, planning on upgrading in the fall months of this year. I am between this and the Bentayga, due to the fact I keep needing more trunk space. The interior lights really impress me, reminds me of my old E63AMG from a couple years back. I just might need this.. maybe I can lease a Range along with the 2019 Continental GT for the space needs I have. I’m just very impressed with the ambient lights, blows Mercedes away
