Ive been a hardcore BMW fan boy for a decade. Owned a 2011 335i, 2012 E92 M3, and a 2016 F80 M3, and I’ve recently just purchased this car and let me tell you, I regret NOTHING. Just how often you hear that from a Die heart BMW owner?

As I mentioned in your last Lexus review, there is remote start using the key fob...when the car is locked, just press the lock button 3x while holding the last press until the car starts.

You can also download Lexus Enform to your smart phone and turn on your car from anywhere. I do this with my lexus in the summer so my car is always nice and cool by the time I am ready to drive home from work. :)

Mario Gonzalez good luck waiting for them to depreciate 😂. Compared to other coupes the LC is selling well but they didn’t make many of them so finding one below 45k might take you 5-6 years and higher miles. Not that the miles matter considering how reliable Lexus vehicles tend to be.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Yamaha makes the 5.0 V8's for Lexus which is why it's so good. Yamaha also made the V10 in the LFA and that is the pinnacle of eargasm.
They help build some of the components and tuned the sound of the V10, it is still built by Lexus, I dont know about the V8 thought, as far as I can tell that V8 has been since the IS F if not earlier.
Moar Desu No ..Yamaha don't make v8 engines ,the v8 engines are from the blue print of the 1Uz v8 that came in the Lexus LS 400 and sc 400 ,the uz engine family was replace with the 5.0 v8 UR series all made and designed by the Toyota /Lexus same for the v10 in the LFA they only used the Yamaha department to tweak the sound alittle they did the same thing when they made the JZ series ,1 jz ,2 jz .what people don't know is that Toyota has a lot of departments under their company Yamaha is one ,Beams,Tom's performance ,the F series and TRD.Toyota has a lot of goodies man people just don't notice it because most of them are brain wash by the mainstream media to bash the company and see them as boring auto makers but they been making big engines ,and sporty cars they just don't come to North America they even have a v12 motor a lot of people don't even know that ,but Toyota made the v8 motor and only hand Yamaha tune the sound ,go watch the making of the LFA and they will show you how Yamaha tune the LFA .

5:10: You're comment on the seats were not fully thought through. No matter Lexus, Cadillac, Kia or Ford - Good seat design shouldn't require 14....16 way adjustments. At this car's luxury position, Lexus got the seat design right. Rule of thumb is the less tinkering they have to do with any one item means they got the design where it should be - especially at this price point.
He said that the seats were high quality, but they could use a bit more customization like its competitors. Sounds pretty well thought out
When the seat is very comfortable to begin with, it doesn't need much adjustment or customization. The seat in the LC 500 is considered by most who have reviewed it as the most comfortable sports seat in the industry and yet still very supportive during spirited driving. They even went as far as saying "why can't the Germans make seats like it?". The competitors have more adjustments because they're not very comfortable to begin with.
The LC 500 has the most comfortable seats i have ever sat in. My GS350 has 16 ways adjustable seats and it doesnt even come close to the LC 500 seats.

I enjoyed your review, and feel it is quite accurate! I bought an LC500 a week ago and have been pleasantly surprised! It's as fast as my 2012 Audi R8 (V8) and it's actually quite alive on spirited drives, very impressive overall so far! Cheers!

This car is friggin A. MAZING. Reliable supercar? Yes please, and make mine the hybrid. I have a 2017 ES300h and it is the nicest thing I've ever owned and driven. I'm hoping I might be able to get an LC gently used in a couple of years.

I disconnected my active exhaust flaps so they are always fully opened. Now it sounds like a supercar all the time in every drive mode, any speed :)

This is the first car to use the new global platform for Lexus. Expect the upcoming redesigns of IS, ES, GS, etc. to take design cues from this LC.

I’ve seen a few of these on the road and they look very nice in person. They are definately head turners. Some guy who owns Gyms around my city owns one just like this. I love Lexus because they actually make unique, modern and luxury designs. BMW and Mercedes look dated. It seem they have the same design since the early 2000s. Japanese engineering is far better than German.
If I'm lucky enough to own one of this beauty, 1st thing to do before driving it home from the dealer I will have a new roomy garage built and at one side will be a tiny bed room about 2.5 × 4.00 meters with glass wall and small single bed, one mini fridge for drinks and mini table set at the corner, so I can spend time happily watching the car I love and at each weekend I'll wake up early around 05.00 getting ready to bring the car out for morning cruise along an empty highway @ 120 mph for a while then back within the speed limit to be safe from the cop. It's not necessary to go too fast on an elegance car like this one because you already knew the power reserve under the hood like a gambler who have plenty reserved hiding in his pocket that make him calm all the time and never see his face sweat.

though i think it wouldve been a great budget lexus LFA, 100k+ is a little too steep for what it is , 70-80k max wouldve been more reasonable and would probably see more of this car in the car scene if it was at that price.

I love Lexus for its reliability. I have a GS350. It's so reliable. I hope Toyota/Lexus never changes. Owned two BMW's and never again will I buy German. Their cars breakdown right when the warranty period expires to gouge you of more money. Fuck that shit.

Give a 2 liter turbo petrol, raise the ground clearance by 10cm, no need for racing tyres, no need for temp controlled steering, no need for ventillated seats, no need of carbon fiber roof, bring down the price and then this car will sell very well in India. Price should be on par with Porsche 718 and Audi tt
Heads up it does have android auto and carplay plus it's voice activation once learned negates the use of the trackpad a lot. Imagine this car with supercharger and or turbo charger or even electric motors to put the power down quicker. They need to ditch the rear seats and make it a 2 seater with a bigger trunk/boot space.

The most attractive feature of a Lexus was that it had all the tech of MBZ and BMW with additional reliability at a much cheaper price.
Now that the price is up to par with every other established brand, why bother with it if you can get a bmw, a Mercedes, a low end Porsche.
The price is just not justifiable.

By that, I mean the guys who just read the numbers and road tests, but never own these cars- God willing and with enough hard work, hopefully, all of you who want this will have it. I have a number of "supercars" and I actually enjoy my DD 6 speed 997 Sharkwerks 650 more when I have crappy Hankooks on it than when I'm running Pilot Super Sports- except when braking... LOL Anyway, these cars are capable of SO MUCH MORE than is legal anywhere I drive, that I find my daily commute to be more fun with some AWD sliding.
