    It has been a while since I've done one of these timing belts. But in order to hold both cams, there should be a hole on the top of each cam shaft just behind the cam gear. This hole lines up with a hole in the block or cam cap in which you install a dowel pin, or what I use was a drill bit of the proper size, and it locks the cams in place. Pretty cool!

    The cams have a little hole where you can put a 3/16 drill bit to lock the cams in place.

    Cool to watch other people do this job ive always used the factory cam lobe locks an put the belt around the tensioner last but if it works thats all that matters

    curious..at 8:42 when you lock your cams, why didn't to just lock them at the start like you have them at 12:30

    This is a really nice clean DA. Can't wait to share some videos of mine when it's all done. Are you on the DA9 Faction page? I've seen you on Honda ECU Tuners I think? Or Another Honda or DA Page.

      I’m on no Honda Facebook pages, I was on a few but it’s all just trash talking and competition so I left

    I dont know why after doing my timing it just doesn't seem tight enough. I rotated it 3 teeth counter clockwise too.. I heard it's a honda thing.

    • @ChrisSadowski
      @ChrisSadowski  3 года назад

      If it’s not tight enough you probably did it wrong. If you did it right, and it’s still a big loose you may have to run a secondary timing belt tensioner

    Is it normal for my belt to jump teeth if i rotate it clockwise? And if i run it like that will i be taking risk in jumping timing if i turn the car on? or does it spin counter clockwise and it should be good

    • @ChrisSadowski
      @ChrisSadowski  3 года назад

      These engines spin counterclockwise.
