When I was like 19, I bought a '92 GS and it was my 2nd car. The previous owner painted it phoenix yellow and swapped in a B16A2 from a '99 SI with skunk2 stage 1 cams, 4-1 headers, intake and a Greddy SP2 cat-back. Basically just normal bolt ons aside from the aftermarket cams. I got into a fair amount of trouble with that car despite the fact it probably barely made 150-160whp if that. It was loud, it was type-r yellow and it was slammed on coilovers to the point where i'd scrape the bottom of the header fairly often with it lol. It was definitely a project car and it had a lot of issues and needed body work but I abused the hell out of that thing for 3-4 years while I owned it. Great car. Very loud, very dramatic/sharp v-tec crossover, sounded great.
Was the front crossmember cut to fit the 4-1 header? In 2004 I put a B18c5 Type-R engine in my '92 GSR DB2 and the 4-1 manifolds would not fit without cutting the front crossmember. I used a Mugen Gymkhana-spec 4-2-1 manifold so the crossmember did not need to be cut. I was told at that time the Toda 4-2-1 manifold would have also fit without cutting.
1990 Integra LS AUDM - Sunroof, Electric Windows, Electric Mirrors, 1 piece headlights, spoiler with light. Interesting to see the differences each country gets (might be they were trying to penetrate Aussie market at the time so gave us all the extra bits with the LS model)
There was one trim you forgot to mention which is the LS-Special Edition. It was 1993 and came with a sunroof, leather seats, center console, gs-r rims, spoiler (no third brake light on the spoiler), mud flaps, and cruise control (no ABS and no B17). Owned this car for over a decade and regret having to sell it.
Imma buy a DA6 soon i hope i get to buy one.. A young man with a lot of appreciation for old school cars.. Dont give a dayum about what other people said.. These old cars still killing the modern day cars
Best of luck getting the car, they are so much fun! I’m on 5 years with my integra now and I’ve converted it to right hand drive myself and put a k20a2 from an RSX type S in it. I hope to be able to buy a DA6 in the next couple years
@@ChrisSadowski wow k20a.. The one that i'm going to get only have the b16a.. Which is the stock engine for DA6..but still.. B16a is very fast for a 1.6 engine.. I need to buy the car as i just had an accident with my 4 doors eg.. That car completely destroyed but glad i still alive
Their is a difference in tail lights the Japan one doesn’t have the fins on the side and the gsr tac goes to 9k gsr also has ABS . I’m just adding to your review good job bro....

DB2 there is interior sound deadening material, more of that, so I been told, I never checked when i had my damaged db2, but I think the cross members and the rack and pinion are different, I think the BD2 has tighter turn radius. Correct me if I am wrong in this, I never verified that. BY the way, can you fixed a cracked block?
I hadn’t heard those things about the DB2 before but I can’t confirm it. As for the cracked block it depends where the crack is. If it’s not too bad it can be welded
Whoa, an Auto cluster with 9k rpm? b16 engine? how did that setup run? the JDM manual for the b16a 90-91 tran that I found was either A1, which I think might be the USDM, and the S1, which is insane short
the db2 had 1.8mm thick frame rails vs the da9 at 1.6mm. This was to help with body flex and the lack of the center beam to clear the b17 header. Also, the db2 and ls special edition were built on the special hand production line with the nsx, and later the integra type r, s2000, dc5 type r/s and I also believe some mugen / spoon builds. Also, you dont mention the rsi, zs, zsi rzi models which also had their own differences. The awd da5 was a good mention though.
paul06660 this was not supposed to be a full breakdown. It was more essentially about the DB2 and DA9. Only part I did not know about was the frame rails.
jdmnsxr 6 it’s a bit too late to go back and re make the video. I don’t think most people would appreciate it to see it twice. But I would also need proof that info like that is true. I searched and saw no articles or anything talking about that. Not saying it’s false, but I would want a credible source so I’m not blaspheming
ChrisSadowski well I don't know about him claiming all that other stuff. the only thing that Is for sure true is just the thicker frame rails but other then that its cool.
There is a difference on the jdm tails us dot approved have reflectors in the tails versus the jdm ones both in the 50/50 and the tri tails the all clears were an aftermarket option which I forgot the maker but they were only available for like 5 years or so and they stopped making them
I bought my first car in 05 when I was 16. Paid 900 bucks for a 90 Integra ls. Was a black 5spd 2dr with a b18b1 not sure if that's a factory option it did have 230k on the odometer possibly had been swapped. Bought at a auction so didn't really know the history. It also had manuel locks, windows, sunroof/moonroof don't know the difference and cruise control... between it and the 96 ls and 95 gsr I've owned it was my favorite. Really thinking of selling my bass boat to put towards another da. Anyone wanna by a 1990 21ft ranger with a 98 200 Johnson? Asking 3500.
YO Chris! You forgot one difference ! The Canadian Model has pull down lap belts :D While American + Japanese Models had electric I got one A GS w Leather ;););) Put a B20 in it and a huge stereo system . I got it a few years back in mint cond . White with black leather and only 60k original mi
So anyone know if the DA bar light integra was started in late 1989? Seen listing other day for one. Owner replied paperwork shows '89. Yet thought that was popup headlight year only. ?????? Thanks
My da9 91 parts were a direct bolt on to my 93 db2 . The hasport mounts bolted right up to the 93. Nothing was really changed. The only real change I saw from a Da and db2 was the front cross member. The db2 is different.
Hey bro so I’m gonna go ahead and do a b20b swap on my DA I have around $2000 for a full swap and a few goodies, $400 for the b20b and I’m taking it to a shop to have them do it since I won’t have time to do myself, but you think $2000 is enough to do the swap with new clutch and wheels and tires, possibly used coil overs.??
Tyler Rhine it just depends on how much the shop charges you for the swap. And also depends on how much your paying for the rest of the stuff. But I would be careful getting used coilovers. Second hand suspension components are usually pretty sketchy since you don’t know the mileage or the types of abuse they have seen
If you mean housings yes, as long as it’s a coupe. The half red half white tail lights are 90-91 and the 3 color tail lights are 92-93. But all are interchangeable as long as they are for coupes
Yes, pretty much everything is. Front bumpers yes, you just need the bumper supports with it. Everything else swaps right over. You just can’t put 90-91 bumper turn signals on a 92-93 bumper
Freddy Rosario they haven’t made them in like 20 years. You have to hunt around on forums to be able to find one and they are not cheap. They usually go for upwards of a 1000 for a real one. Mine is s replica and I still paid $500 for it
ChrisSadowski I don’t know how I scored a 93 gsr for $2000 for my first car but I finally found a channel for second gen integras, you’re videos are amazing man.
ChrisSadowski where do you recommend on getting parts? Because I need a hood and bumpers, I plan on wrapping it and can’t do it with dented hood and all
That’s what happens when you grow up poor, take a few skateboards to the face and your work doesn’t offer insurance. What’s your excuse for being a piece of shit?
The DB2 in US and Canada had thicker sheet metal from the firewall forward to stiffen the chassis.

I have a 92 LS and a 91 LS. Although the bumper Is a little different, are they interchangeable? Same with the rear bumper and interior?
Yeah it’s all interchangeable. Just gotta change the bumper brackets with the bumper cover. They are different between the facelift and pre facelift
the db2 had 1.8mm thick frame rails vs the da9 at 1.6mm.
ChrisSadowski oi mate you should mention some of this stuff though because that's what were curious about.
jdmnsxr 6 it’s a bit too late to go back and re make the video.
Ive owned second gen integras since my first car in 1998. But dont get me wrong, im still learning new things about them to this day.
great video missing some info on the db2 but I would love to see more of these
EuroWarmachine R this was more of an engine comparison and base chassis. Not the nitty gritty. But I may do another one just about the DB2
awesome I'll be posted I have a k20 da9 and a db2 in the works right now eventually I'll start making videos as well would love some tips
EuroWarmachine R what axles are your using? I’m about to k20 swap mine and still need to get axles
k20 insane axles
what motor mounts your planning on using ?
Progress daily 🤙
There is a difference on the jdm tails us dot approved have reflectors in the tails versus the jdm ones both in the 50/50 and the tri tails the all clears were an aftermarket option which I forgot the maker but they were only available for like 5 years or so and they stopped making them
Don't forget the LS-S
I have this one too! I've been trying to find info on it!
@@byarie8372 tan interior lol that's about it
Hi just saw your vid. But all the parts interchangeable???
Yes.
The Canadian Model has pull down lap belts :D
While American + Japanese Models had electric
I got one A GS w Leather ;););) Put a B20 in it and a huge stereo system .
I got it a few years back in mint cond . White with black leather and only 60k original mi
Totally forgot about the manual belts haha
ChrisSadowski They are so much better than power . So much cleaner looking
FIRST! Yee, i needed something i been refreshing!
Hopefully you enjoy! I needed content and thought this would be interesting enough
It's awesome man, i'm just listening this is the kind of stuff i like. It's just nerding out talk hhaah
Have I sinned by swapping a 95 b18 type r motor in my db2 gsr?
Its a blessing lol
To this day is till want a Da9...Maybe one day
I need one
Do it. Get one
So anyone know if the DA bar light integra was started in late 1989? Seen listing other day for one. Owner replied paperwork shows '89. Yet thought that was popup headlight year only.
?????? Thanks
Technically the early model 1990 in the states were made on 89, but the Japanese models were started in 89 also
Good stuff
Hey Chris truthfully there isn't a difference except the motor and trans. How you doing man?
My da9 91 parts were a direct bolt on to my 93 db2 . The hasport mounts bolted right up to the 93. Nothing was really changed. The only real change I saw from a Da and db2 was the front cross member. The db2 is different.
Me and Michael were actually just talking about you last night, hope your well dude!
XSI if you know you know👍
Thanks bro for the 2nd gen tutorial! I had no idea there were so many versions
iAmRivErSidE CalIfORniA what u don’t know could fill a freakin warehouse bruh
My DA GS has power everything EXCEPT locks - it has always made we wonder... any idea ? was it a GS option ?
I’m not sure to be honest. I’ve heard that from a couple people now.
So does the 93 LS have V-Tech?
No, only the Gsr had vtec from factory in America
I have a 93 integra lS I was wondering if they have ABS?
Only the GSR and GS came with ABS
@@ChrisSadowski alright thanks!
Do you know a website that sells a da5 awd teggy?
I do not, you have to hunt around at Japanese importers
1990 LS has crank windows
I have a 1990 Acura Integra RS. Is it a DA-9?
Yes
@@ChrisSadowski thank you
Late to the game, but 11:20 is a red GSR
How did your buddy with the black da do the single wiper for the front window??
Just took his other wiper off and set the other at an angle
Wasn’t the zc dual cam?
They have single and dual cam ZC’s
Where did you get your da9 hot wheels car!
Is 93 brake lights interchangeable with the 90 LS model? Anyone know
If you mean housings yes, as long as it’s a coupe. The half red half white tail lights are 90-91 and the 3 color tail lights are 92-93. But all are interchangeable as long as they are for coupes
So the 1990 LS has a b18a1? 👀
Yes
A SHITLOAD of killer info man.. THANK YOU.. Be well.
So which model has the awd system? I want an integra but not the fwd
We didn’t get them in the states. They are extremely rare and came with single cam engines and essentially wagon drivetrains
I have a 90 DA9 with sunroof and roll down windows what model is that
Gs
Are the parts interchangeable from 92-93 to 90-91?
Yes, pretty much everything is. Front bumpers yes, you just need the bumper supports with it. Everything else swaps right over. You just can’t put 90-91 bumper turn signals on a 92-93 bumper
Yes. I thought it was sweet.
My gs doesn’t have power locks it’s a 1990
Are you sure it’s not an LS then 🧐
Can a 1991-94 integra jdm front end fit onto a 1996 ?
No
Where did you buy the car cover/tent
Kmart
@@ChrisSadowski k thanks.. I need one i have a green db2 no motor got hailed on last year. Needs pdr. I need a cover though asap.

You after da6 jdm headlights
Already have a set on my integra
@@ChrisSadowski cool as man I'd love a set of usa 🇺🇸 ones as im in nz.
Have you checked eBay at all? I’m sure there is some one there
How I find that wing???
Freddy Rosario they haven’t made them in like 20 years. You have to hunt around on forums to be able to find one and they are not cheap. They usually go for upwards of a 1000 for a real one. Mine is s replica and I still paid $500 for it
Where can I find cheap one piece headlights
“Cheap” and one piece” don’t go together lol. Your looking at an average of 300$ on the low end for a set
ChrisSadowski damn yeah I looked intp it but da9 gang strong that people might of came a Cross some
Down for driving, down for more information videos. Down for content.
You must have been bored as he'll to sit and tell everyone all that info lol btw I got that same sweatshirt but blue u must have got it at Wal-Mart
Walmart sweaters for life lol
Also 93 gsr doesn’t have 5 lug, still 4 lug
J Kent Simmons did I say GSR has 5 lug? My mistake if I did. None of them do. Type r hubs are how you get 5 lugs on the DA
ChrisSadowski I don’t know how I scored a 93 gsr for $2000 for my first car but I finally found a channel for second gen integras, you’re videos are amazing man.
J Kent Simmons thanks! I really appreciate that 🤙🏼 glad that you enjoy them
ChrisSadowski where do you recommend on getting parts? Because I need a hood and bumpers, I plan on wrapping it and can’t do it with dented hood and all
Yoooooo bro real jdm one piece lights are glass
Hmm. I’ve heard that, but I personally haven’t seen glass 1 piece lights. Just Stanley plastic ones
Jay Swisher I got a glass one
dont buy a car buy some freakin braces bro yo toothgame is all fucked up.
That’s what happens when you grow up poor, take a few skateboards to the face and your work doesn’t offer insurance. What’s your excuse for being a piece of shit?
