I rarely use office because of my documents have already been done. All I need is to update my templates, every now and then, I don't need to pay monthly for a document that I open 3-6 times a year, to PRINT!!!
thank you sir. This is actually very helpful since we're currently planning on the applications that we will use for distance learning here in PH. And since some of the students here don't own a laptop/desktop at home, using office in androids phones will save us computer teachers. I hope to see more of these microsoft office for smartphone tutorials from you. :)
I love this app. It combines all office applications like powerpoint, word, excel, etc. It helps to read and edit pdf as well. It also functions as a pdf scanner app and a notepad application. It syncs contents with cloud too. Just an all in one free office app.
Hi Kevin, is this Microsoft Office app, as you describe it, still available? When I search, it does not appear. Everything seems to cost a subscription!
You are appreciated!!! Thank you for sharing your information to help us! We are all at different levels of knowledge and it's really great how you break down the programs, intructions, and concepts for those of us that are just beginning. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!
I installed office app on my Samsung S6 lite tab. The app only allows me to see documents in read only mode and says office 365 subscription is a must to edit or save a document. What is the solution?
It's because office for mobile is free only for devices under 10.1". You need MS 365 for bigger screens. I use it without problems on my 8.3" tablet...
Does not work for free. You've got to have a subscription. You can download only the shell app for free which is pritty much useless w/o the Office365 subscription. Misleading title.
Yes, you get the app for free but without subscription you can't do anything! Furthermore it's very sad that the "home and student" package for Microsoft 365 is not available in the app
I am from the Philippines and I bought the new Samsung Tab S7+. It does not come with Microsoft Office for free. The app is installed, but you need to upgrade to premium to use it. When I open one file it automatically goes to "Read-only" mode. This is disappointing, I bought the tab knowing it comes with Microsoft. I was going to use the tab as substitute for my PC, but I can't even use it for simple editing of Word, Excel and Powerpoint docs.
This app would be KILLER on the iPad. Still quite sad to see this on the smallest screen possible when I need it most on the bigger screen. Any plans to get this done?
No, the free version for Microsoft Office is not working in 12.4 inch Samsung Tab S7+ running android 10. It is saying to edit and save in Tab S7+ (12.4 inch Samsung Tablet running Android 10), a Microsoft 365 subscription is required. I have downloaded the app on my Android machine but it does not allow me to edit a document without first taking a subscription but Kevin said it is free! Is there something I am missing!
I've been using word and excel mobile for years now. The download size scares me, though. I want to be able to use word and excel in the same way and not work from a truncated version... Do the apps have the same functionality?
Great video, great app. I have a subscription from college thats free and with that I can also connect and edit files from my google drives. The free subscription wont let you do this. But still if you do have a paid or sponsored by college or work subscription this is really amazing. Using it everyday on my tablet after watching this video.
